What people like
- Great way to track drinks with friends
- Support helped recover lost accounts easily
- Fun social tool for drinking buddies
What they complain about
- Updates ruined the simple logging system
- Forced AI captions annoy users
- Camera features are buggy and laggy
- Wants money for basic features now
Awesome Support
Lost access to my account and they were able to recover my account, I didn’t have to do anything
SW Sucks!
You no longer allow to add new drinks when it clearly shows the brand name and beer name.
Like instead of cheers
Hi where it used to say how many cheers you’ve gotten under a post, why on earth did you change it to say likes- you dont like a beer buddy you cheers it bring back your whimsy pleaseeeee
so much ai
the whole app looks like it was made by someone who pays for twitter
Calorie traxker
Um why is that a thing do you want young women to d*e?
Goated
Goated app
your new update actually sucks
0/10 app was good until you made it automatic post the first photo you take without looking at it…never forgiving this
Some issues
I love this app for keeping track of how many I’ve had and “bragging” to friends. But I dislike how when they always update it, it becomes really confusing. Developers, can you please tell me how to take a photo of my beer without having to have the front facing photo as well? And not from the camera roll either? Thanks.
Revert back
The new ai features are complicating a simple product, bring back the old version
Login Glitch
Love the app but there’s a big problem. If you enter the wrong email to login there’s no way to hit back and you’re forced to create another account. Please add a back button!
Please remove auto cheers
Love beer buddy, but the recently added auto-cheers ruins the point of the app. I like manually giving cheers and seeing how many I can rack up. Anyone else agree??
HORRIBLE AI SLOP
I have never seen an app plummet like this. It used to be simple, picture, add drinks. Now it demands you pay $5 a week so you can have it write some bs ai caption for you, ai your drink and then not get it correct. Just let me use the app like normal. HORRIBLE fumble
Cheers?
I adore this app and appreciate the other replies to my reviews. I love the feature in which I can "cheers" my friends with pictures but cannot figure out this feature anymore. Has it been removed?
Was great, but change ruined it
Before yesterday you were able to simultaneously take front and back pictures from one button. Now you can only take one picture. Please change back.
Hmm
Just not working and very laggy
Top tier
Best app ever?!!!!
used to love, now hate
me and my friends love this app, we use it all the time. however, the most recent update has made it unusable. i no longer have the ability to take two photos at once, which was my favorite feature in the app. it now only takes one, and that’s if the camera even decides to work. the AI detection feature is annoying and unnecessary. also, my friends’ photos often don’t show up on only my phone when they post, all that i see is the map with their location. i thought i was the only one with these issues but it seems like it’s happening to everyone. please revert back to your old version so i can go back to loving your app again!
Update sucks
The app is a lot of fun! I HATE the update though. The pouring sound? Gone. It guesses drinks for you and gets it wrong all the time. You can’t adjust how many you have. The way it takes the pictures changed too. Not as good anymore.
Can't take pics anymore
Check in section of the app hangs forever so can't take pics anymore pls fix
Great idea - need improvement
Love the way this app works - BeReal but for beers. Unfortunately it doesn’t always work. Camera works 50% of the time (so have to upload photos), it also stutters when taking a photo - so if you’re trying to get the lads in you’ve gotta stay still for 10+ seconds, and the location isn’t always accurate. Great when it works, although getting it to work is very rare
Hammeres
Good review
Great App Update Sucks
They updated the app and makes you take a picture of yourself and your drink. Half the time now if you do take a picture it doesn’t even work. Devs if you see this go back to the old logging method and the app is 5/5 stars
Sick app idea! But..
Love the concept of the app! Can be a laugh with your pals whilst having a few scoops! But don’t like the fact AI is writing the captions. Should be optional. Would also be a cool concept that you can set challenges to your mates. Example: your mate posts a picture with there drink. Then you can vote if they have to down it or get a shot. But overall having a laugh so far with me pals on this app.
ai captions are so dumb
let me write my own caption. honestly where did this idea come from.
Bad update
My cousin and I stopped using the app since the update. Too bad they got rid of cool things like easy choosing of drinks. Still fun though.
five stars
great features
App not working
Okay, I’ve had this app for a few weeks and I love it. But it has updated and now it literally doesn’t work and I’m infuriated. Like why can’t I take any pictures? Even when I turn AI detection off it won’t let me take a photo.
Song options
Enjoy using the app with all of my friends, my one small complaint is I wish I can choose any part of the song I want to put on.
Account
I can’t log into my old account and i miss all my memories o had
Logging update has ruined the app
The recent change to the logging system makes using the app tedious. Who is going to manually log every specific micro brew, cocktail or whatever each time they drink? Aside from that the app is perfect, but I can’t recommend it after this change.
Good app
Very good tech here love the app really shows the culture of the group!
Won’t let me post
Won’t let me post!!
Wish the leaderboard was still there
Can’t view my friends list either
account logged out
I got logged out of my account and it won't let me log back in with my username and password. So annoying because I probably used an old email to login! Annoying log in process. Used the love the app though:(
new update
this new update needs to go please. I don’t even have the option to choose the drink i normally post
I love to drink
this app makes me wanna drink more!
Ridiculous pricing
Why in the world would I pay $5 per week to see when my friends drink? And WHY would you think I want to see your terrible AI add while logging drinks. If I see this every time, I’m deleting. Not why I joined.
App is in russian!
I’m and english speaker and for some reason my app is half english and half russian
would be better if you could write your own captions
the human spirit craves creativity
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CHEERS FEATURE???
Was having the time of my life on this app until they removed the ability to cheers your friends with a photo. Now it’s basically just Instagram for beer. SUCH A BUZZKILL!!!!
Amazing
Great app would recommend to your kids
AI Slop
Every caption is AI, all promo images are AI, the UI barely works… this app is somebody’s unfortunate weekend project. Totally vibe-coded and it’s evident.
Great app, until…
I loved this app and had many friends on it. Then you got rid of the photo cheers feature and now I have no friends. Please PLEASE bring it back!!!
new update sucks!
new update is hard to navigate and not as fun. scrap it PLEASE. and bring back custom drinks. you can add your own now but it’s not the same
BRING BACK THE CHEERS PHOTO FEATURE
IT WAS BETTER THAT WAY
🐒🐒🐒🐒☀️☀️💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿💅🏿
Best app made
*Optional* purchases!
Opts you in automatically! Doesn't give you an option to cancel unless you ask!
Cant post videos!
There shows no videos when I go to my phot album but I can take one at the moment! (I choose not too because music cannot play) besides that it’s pretty chill! An added feature to video and take one together would be nice as well :)
Beer Buddy
Personally don’t like the new update. I liked when I could just label my drinks what I like as opposed to searching for new drinks every time. I don’t want to have to post an actual beer brand, I just want to call it an IPA or a rum and coke. Please return to old version!! Cameron
One problem
I really like the idea because I tend to be bad at counting my drinks but who in The world takes 30 minutes to take another shot I take shots after shots counter it shouldn’t be longer than a minute why does it keep getting longer now I have to count them myself and then wait to press the button that keeps getting longer i’m not gonna be able to wait that long please change this
