Honestly over hyped. It’s annoying to add an event. Adding multiple events in a series is also overly complicated. The syncing is all out of wack. You now have to pay for basic features like multi event adding. Make it a simple user interface with less clicks, the whole point is to organize yourself and calendar to not stress about it but just adding events is irritating and stressful.

not what i expected
to join the app, i have to get 3 friends to join through my link otherwise i cant use it. why do i need to do that? my friends aren’t allowed the app and now i can’t use it because of this. it’s annoying
good until new update
I’ve been using this app for many, many years. It started as a way to plan events and check friends’ availability, and eventually became a shared calendar that my parents and I use to keep track of my schedule. It has always been such a useful app, and I’ve recommended it to so many people. However, this new “How Bout+” update is extremely disappointing. It has taken away basic features I’ve been using for years, and it doesn’t make sense that I now have to pay for features that were completely free just a month ago. I understand introducing a paid version, but putting long-time features behind a paywall feels unfair and has made the app much less useful. I really hope you reconsider these changes.

Terrible app. Text too damn tiny!! Too much dead space!! Figure out a better balance jackwagons! No easy way to close your account either. Can’t read anything, it’s way too small!! Need toddler eyes to see text. And the developers couldn’t care less they’re chasing away users with paywalls and app ransoms. Criminals running this app.

my friends links have just not been working when they would send to their other friends, it directs them to a white screen. I also don't like how you have to wait for a friends to sign in to unlock especially when the links aren’t working and it leaves the others having no access to the app making it pointless

Easy to navigate, funny prompts, and free. Yes there are paid things but you don’t need them. Amazing app

I use this app everyday as my personal calendar as well as a shared with my partner. I love how it remembers past events to make it easier to input the same event again.
Annoying
I want to like it but it’s so annoying how u have to invite friwnds and wait for them to accept ur invite before u can use it like wth??

It WAS good…
I was so happy to finally have a nice shared calendar with my friends and family. I don’t remember what the previous subscription was, but I was more than happy to pay for it because it seemed cheap. But now.. you have to pay even more- “Howbout+” to even use the basics of the app like the widget that was so helpful before. I thought I had it, but apparently I have do more to get the same feature? It’s really disappointing. Now this app is just like all the others trying to squeeze as much money out of you that they can. I only used the widget so I have no idea if actually being in the app will show ads but if it doesn’t now, it will soon. I’m just going to save myself the trouble and uninstall.
Great app missing one key set of features
I really love this app - it makes finding a time that works for me and my friends so much easier. The one thing it’s missing is better filtering. It’d be great if I could set up groups of friends and toggle their visibility on the calendar, plus send an invite to a whole preset group at once instead of picking one by one from a master list. TLDR: Great app, makes scheduling easy, just needs group features.
great app, terrible features
this app is amazing and i use it everyday, however it recently begun to kick me out every time i opened it. all fixes require logging into the settings account on the app itself. You also can’t get in without a phone number, and you need to get 3 people sign up using your link before you can even start to use it.
Pretty good app
I would recommend this for the most part. My biggest issue is syncing my google calendar. It takes really long to sync, like over 24 hours so that can be pretty frustrating. It also makes you send an invite to three people to join the app unless you have a referral which isn’t my favorite since I was only trying to share my calendar with one person. I’m not the biggest fan of the homepage but not an issue. But overall it’s a pretty good and cute app and I would recommend it still. Easy to use as well.

New update
When I allowed the app to refresh with the new update and colors it turned ever event I had on my calendar grey very dull and irritating that it look like I’d have to go through 2months worth to change each individual even into a color.

It’s cool i don’t like that you have to update it to get cool features but overall it’s a cool app, love getting to see my friends schedules.
Does this work on an I pad
Well I keep entering my phone number but it won’t text me. I have tried 6 times and it doesn’t work, my question is does it work on iPads? Answer asap please
Bad for shift workers
This does not work well if you do not follow a set weekly rota. I’m a paramedic and my shifts are various durations on various days and this is giving me a headache trying to input nights etc correctly as it gets confused. Also it does not let me save a shift to quick add like many other calendars, therefore meaning I need to input it each time which its a pain

Tryin to get my whole life story aint you?
I opened it and was immediately questioned with my whole life story, date of birth, email, phone number, and why I want a calendar. I understand you have to find a way to make your app popular but making someone send this recommendation to 3 people and not letting you touch the app until one accepts is utterly unacceptable. However the app did look like it had an amazing aesthetic, which would have helped if I could have used the app.
Great app, but you have to pay for extra
This is a really fun app that my friends and I love to use, but it was hard for my android using friends to use the app. You also have to pay for extra amenities, but I feel that’s normal. Great and fun app.

Idea great, works okay, design confusing
Me and my friends use this app, and it's become indispensable - but ultimately it's a new app by a small startup and you can tell. The design is quite overwhelming, couldn't imagine my parents ever understanding this, and even with a degree in Computer Science, I find this exhausting and confusing to use. If you persist with it, you'll find a useful tool but I'm sure many people are trying and giving up at the moment.

Why is it that when I want to register and enter my phone number, I get an error?? I saw this calendar in Tiktok, but I didn't think that for the sake of a regular calendar you need to bother so much!!

Horrible. Can’t even see the interface or anything until you invite people and they accept and download. Like let me see it first before all that?!?!

Invite Wall
I wanted to use this app for organising a group trip (including friends who live oversees) At first glance it seemed quite promising. However, much like others have pointed out, the requirement to invite three friends to sign up before you can properly “unlock” the app was a complete non-starter... My friends dismissed it straight away, and in the end no one really wanted to use it at all. It feels a bit too pushy. I’d much prefer to try the app myself first and see if it actually suits our needs before asking everyone else to download it. From what I can see, this is a fairly common bit of feedback in the reviews. I’d suggest rethinking the approach let people explore and get comfortable with the app first, and then make inviting others a natural step afterwards..
Good app, please add a block feature
I used to use this app with a friend group I had a while ago, and because I still have one of the people from that group added I now see the rest of them in my “suggested” every time I open the app. It’s really upsetting and I wish I could block or remove them :/ I don’t want to be reminded of them every time I open the app. Besides that app is great

Joke of an app
Have to pay a $40/year subscription to use this app unless I want to invite someone? The only person I want to use this app with is my girlfriend because we both have busy schedules and it’s difficult to find time but I can’t because once one of us invites the other, the other cannot use it. Waste of time, waste of money, a total joke. What happened to a single time purchase of an app for $1 or $2?

Invite a friend
I appreciate that you’re trying to create a more social experience by requiring invites, but the system is flawed. Once a group has invited each other, it becomes impossible for the last person to join. This kind of gatekeeping actually pushes people away.
Memories Page
Great app but please bring back the memories page. It used to be a great way to quickly see all your plans you’ve had with friends and significant others. I’m unsure why it was removed from the latest update.

“Unlocking” the app
Kind of scuzzy to make your users go through the million steps to set up their account only to lock them out of the app unless they get a friend to sign on. I wanted to check out the app to see how it works before deciding if it’s the one I want to use with my friend group. Guess I’ll be looking elsewhere
Good calendar organiser
A decent calendar it lets you colour coordinate and plan you time and see friends and family’s schedule One major downside is it won’t let you join without having several friends accept a sign up link But if all your friends are already on there then the can’t get in Very frustrating and excludes those who don’t have many friends or many friends who use electronic calendars and feels exclusionary
Annoying as hell
This is a great app don’t get me wrong, but if you don’t login for like 3 days it automatically logs you out and you have to login again, then restart the app. This is a stupid feature and absolutely useless for a CALENDAR app.
No support for night shifts
My friends and I are paramedics that work night shifts (6 pm to 6 am) When we try to create overnight plans the app tells us no travel time and fails to create the plan.
