Girl named Carina transferring to George Fox University tried to scam me. Not even sure if she’s a girl college student. She tried to get personal bank information from me. I found some of her pictures on Pinterest, stolen from other people.
Great for intended purpose but some technical issues
I really like ZeeMee to find out more about colleges and to meet people. The app is fairly navigable however, it constantly adds you to colleges you’re not interested in and that you’ve already elected not to be added to. It’s really annoying and it feels like it constantly hounds you to join new chats even after you’ve selected where you’re going. It’s not a dealbreaker for the app, but definitely something that could be improved.

I can't open an account as it keeps saying invalid number any time I put in my phone number. Does the application accept International phone numbers?
My college missing??
I really want to use this so I can find a roommate, but the college I want to attend isn’t on here! I wish I could add any college on my own so I could put Panola College on there.

When I try to submit my acceptance letter it keeps saying they are unable to verify it even though it shows my information. This app is supposed to help you find people that go to the same college/university as you but no one responds to messages or anything so how are you supposed to make friends on a friend making app if no one even talks?
Good app, however there are many bots
Personally, I’ve found ZeeMee to be so funny and cool to have since the people I’ve met made it worthwhile, however there have been several times where random bots pretend to be an incoming college student and ask for peoples phone numbers to then threaten them and I believe also steal their money. It’s becoming a great issue and it concerns me since people may not know about that yet and give out their numbers in hopes of making friends for college. I hope you guys come up with som type of verification system or something to lessen the ability for bots to take advantage of incoming college students. Overall, good app, but please try to fix that💔

Helpful! Just a bit of a headache.
An app like this is essential for rising and undergrad students! Unfortunately, the UI is a bit slow to respond with every button press, and the app sometimes suddenly crashes whenever I’m in the middle of typing. It’s really annoying cos it force-quits the app and deletes everything I was trying to say. I cannot say that the device performance is the root issue because I am on iPhone 17 Pro.

It’s nice for getting to know people on the app but it’s very laggy
Bots everywhere
The app is amazing when you meet real people and university counselors, however there are tons of bots and scammers that will dm you 5 times a day. I have practically given up on Zeemee support they take forever to remove bots and they have no algorithm in place to stop these fake messages.
My rating as of getting the app a few weeks ago
As of using it till this point, it’s been great in terms of seeing how students talk and interact. This gives a vibe about the social atmosphere at the college

I tried several times to upload my photo of myself and it failed to load several times. Maybe I’m just too ugly for this app lol 😂

The idea is great, but there are so many crashes and bugs that it’s almost unusable at times.

It’s weird
I was invited to join a group for people trying to get into Texas A&M. I downloaded the app and joined the group because thought it might help me learn some things I might wanna know. It didn’t. The group itself was fine, but the app has a weird vibe, almost like it’s some kind of dating app. Anyway, if any parents see this, you probably shouldn’t let your kid download the app.

I’m usually one for writing positive reviews but this is more of a PSA. DON’T use this app! No body from my college actually ever messaged me. Go a DM from a someone that didn’t have a profile that a couldn’t read. Possibly a bot the app didn’t say. Then I got a DM from some random thirty-something year old man that’s not even attending a college from the other side of the country saying, “hey pretty”! 🤢🤮This is just disgusting. I had what college I’m currently attending and stuff posted. Seriously paranoid now and blocked the creep and deleted my account and app. You guys really should only make it so true college students use the app and not just anyone.
Red notification for
I like the app, but when I read a notification and close the app, there is still a red dot on the app indicating I haven’t read the notification yet.

I first received this app from Thomas College in Maine, inviting me to join their school group. I have since joined many other school groups and made some really great friends with people on the app. A little laggy, but mass servers will do that to an app. I’ve been able to chat with current students at schools I’m interested in, and ask questions of advisors which had been incredibly helpful and efficient. It’s a good way to put yourself out there, meet friends and possible roommates, and learn more about colleges based on your major and you interest groups. Highly recommend for incoming college freshmen!

This gives you a pleasant area to talk to people who haven’t decided where exactly they want to go to college VCU is a great school. I went there in 1980 for six months, but learned that they were teaching you a bunch of lies back then I excel in math and physics, but have tough with English and for languages and history or history. I took three years in public school and every year they taught me something different so I know two years were wrong China and Russia know our history better than I do.
Outdated and Confusing
I have been using ZeeMee for the past 4 or so months, as I am a rising college freshman graduating high school with the Class of 2026. The concept of this app is amazing; however, my app always says I have more messages than I can see, and the chat bot seems to have a inconsistent flagging system for spam, as single messages are signaled but real spam is not. With that, the notifications for this app are incredibly annoying as false-alerts are often sent out signaling that “_____ got accepted to a new school” or my own messages showing as notifications but what other people send do not come through. I want to disable them because of their issues, but without notifications enabled, you cannot see things like profile views. This app is great in concept, but there are several bugs that need seriously addressed.

This app has helped me connect with potential peers that may be going to the college I am, but there have been multiple instances with bots/scammers or people who are out for trouble. (I would love to see less in the future)

I’m easily able to connect with students of different admissions status. We share our thoughts and experiences through the application and admission process, as well as thoughts about the colleges and student life.
Would be cool if app actually worked
I get spammed by a bunch of these “groups” like the “Singles” group this group isn’t local and most people are real but they aren’t active at my school which has a lot of people honestly I want to meet people and dating apps are better than this

i wish there was more ways to interact with the posts and search for more specific topics, but other than that the platform is quite nice.
