What people like

- Good tool for finding roommates
- Makes college transition less stressful
What they complain about
- App freezes and crashes constantly
- Requires payment to use basic features
- Charges fees for every campus chat
Found a roommate here
I was worried I wouldn’t be able to make friends, but this app really helped me connect with people. I actually ended up finding a roommate here, which made a huge difference for me. It’s been a really positive experience overall.
Doesn’t even work
This app doesn’t even work for me and I put my number to log in or sign up and then the app doesn’t even let me put my personal info in (that section is not even highlighted for me to continue signing up)
Leadership Development and Connections!
As a Senior Ambassador for iGotIn, this app has not only allowed me to network with other students before even stepping on campus, but also given me a place to practice and hone my communication, content creation, and leadership skills.
Trash
This app does not work, you have to pay for every single thing, you can’t find a roommate, you can’t access chats, you can’t do anything without paying, which I think is crazy, do not download this app. Get ZeeMee!
Purchases
It’s $3 to get into GCs wish I would’ve known that
Fun!
As a college student, it's the app that l've been wanting for! It was fun to chat with people who are in the same major
Literally everything is behind the pay wall there is no feature that makes this app worthwhile
Stupid
Not worth the money
You have to pay for each campus community you want to chat in/ find friends in
This app is amazing
I used this app to post my college acceptance and got connected with a really nice roommate who is now my best friend. I really recommend this app to any new admits who want to make friends and/or roommates!
Pay to use app
I can’t even access anything without it asking for 3.99$ basic and 15$ to do anything else
app malfunction
The screen keeps freezing…i paid $3 for me to have to delete and redownload each time i want to use it.
Igotin
I’ve had IGOTIN since freshman year and didn’t think much of it at first, but it actually helped. I’m pretty introverted, so meeting people wasn’t easy, and this made it a bit less awkward. I liked that you could find people in your dorm or classes, so it didn’t feel random. I’m still friends with a couple people I met on there, which is kinda surprising. Not perfect, but it did what I needed it to.
Ruined by Paywall
As soon as you download it, it makes you pay to do anything
Poor Quality
The theory of this is great, however after I’ve been on the app once nothing works when I get back on it. Like the screen is frozen. And I waited hours to see if it was just my internet but no. And I know its after the one time I open the app because I’ve deleted it and downloaded it again and it works for the first time I open the app, but does the same frozen screen again. Poor mechanics.
Great app!
Great app for connecting with classmates before college! Makes it much easier to go through the commitment process together!
Bugs
Super buggy makes me restart and log in each time
Pay wall
Basically unusable if you don’t pay. Can’t even open a chat without paying.
Great app!!
Igotin is a really useful app for college freshmen trying to navigate that overwhelming first year transition. It makes it easy to connect with other students before even stepping on campus, which helps take a lot of the stress out of finding roommates and making friends. What I liked most is how intuitive the app is you can quickly browse profiles, match with people who share similar interests, and start conversations without it feeling awkward or forced. It’s especially helpful for those who might be moving far from home and want to build a sense of community early on. I’d definitely recommend Igotin to incoming freshmen who want to feel a little more prepared and less alone heading into their first year.
Money grabber
I can’t do anything on this app because everything costs money
Update
The new update is totally insane. It only let’s a person check into one college. The older version was cool, I didn’t mind paying $3 to join different school chats
IGOTIN
The IGOTIN app has been beneficial because I am able to have conversations with my roommates, classmates, and alumni. As well as, Make me a roommate application, so I can see someone’s living situation and they can see mines!
App is simply not working.
Idk what’s going on. It’s not working.
Review
I enjoy the app because it helps you meet new people and build a connection!
cant do anything without paying
microtransaction trash
Love this
As an incoming freshman, I’ve really loved using the I Got In app. It’s been amazing to connect with other students who are planning to attend the same university as me. Even before I committed, I was able to get my questions answered and learn more about the school directly from other students. Through the app, I’ve already met people who I truly believe will become great friends once I get to campus—connections I don’t think I would have made otherwise. On top of that, being able to share information, ask questions, and support each other has been one of the most helpful resources during this whole process. Overall, I Got In has made the transition to college feel a lot less stressful and a lot more exciting.
Money grab/ Fake reviews
Doesn’t work, and if it did, that would be worse. After the initial download, no matter how many times you refresh the app, everything stays frozen. On top of that, I checked EVERY feature of the app after initial download before it froze on me, and everything requires purchasing a subscription. Subscribe for an app that doesn’t work? Nope. Last note, there is no way this app has this high of a rating with how it currently is. Majority of reviews with good remarks are fake.
This app is AMAZING!
The IGOTIN App helped me to connect with my future classmates and college attendees. I got to meet lots of people with the same major as myself, friends with similar interests, and people I could see myself connecting with. Overall, 10/10 app! I 100% recommend for connecting with fellow incoming freshman :)
nope
makes you pay $15 for ANYTHING useful, app freezes and is completely unusable, and ai slop marketing. i hate writing reviews but the amount of spite this app fueled me with is stronger.
