Discord?
Would have l liked to have liked this app, but forcing your customers to have to install and learn to navigate discord just to get the content is a big no go for me personally. I find discord to be a confusing mess of an interface. A highly questionable design choice here my friend... None of the older gamers I play with have any interest in discord either, so I can't help but wonder how many potential customers you are losing because of this.
Subclasses and feats
I really like this app. It has helped me a lot in my playing of dungeons and dragons. It has made things a lot easier things have been a lot more organized, but there is only one sub class for each class. And the biggest thing here is that there is only 1 feet. The grappler feet which I take, but which would mean that every single character that I make has the grappler feat and on every couple levels, I have to take the abilities school improvement. Dungeons & Dragons is a game about choice. I feel like I am being restricted in my choices.
Good app best I’ve used
Easier than paper and just works better. only complaint is you can’t go past level 20 but dev said he would add that at some point. No complaints!

I guess I don’t get it
I tried to make an Aasimar. The only option is a variant aasimar. You have to import from discord to try and make this thing useable up front so you can create base game characters and looks nothing like the preview? I could just be stupid trying to use this app so I guess you could say it’s not foolproof.
Needs a few more races
Having Thri-Kreen, goblin and kobold races would be epic! Over all pretty good
Helpful
The app is amazingly organized, and the pro version only needs one perchase, so the developers get credit for not being greedy unlike some games (cough, Clash Royale, cough) and the unlimeted characters is useful, but it doesn't make sense to buy a character slot for four dollars when you can buy unlimited for ten dollars.
So why do I have to pay for every character slot?

One big issue that prevents a 5 star rating
This app is awesome and really wonderful to play around with and customize, and the discord community is super helpful with additional content, etc. However, the PDF export option (which you have to pay the $9.99 for to unlock the app to have access to), is horrendous. The quality is so terrible and genuinely barely legible. If that could be improved this would easily be a 5 star app.
2024 has made this a mess
The way files are put into the compendium via a thread on Discord was OK, but now is a hot mess with trying to harmonize with the 2024 edition. What a disaster!! It is totally not clear what is what from official to homebrew. There should have been (or should be) very specific description guidelines for posts. Are only the admins taken officially, and which of those. Makes sense for others (volunteers) to help out the developer, but are they nicely posting official or their own homebrew? Who knows?! Better to go back to pencil and paper than dealing with this rat’s nest. Gave 2 instead 1 star because it used to be great.
no friends?????
i cant add the friends cantrip, like it doesnt exist at all, which would be fine, there are a lot of spells in dnd, understandable if you must some but theres also no option to put in a custom spell or anything far as i can tell so which is annoying
Best Character Building App
This is the best builder app for dnd I've used and you get all character options for free as its all peer to peer file sharing or making your own. perfect for building characters with home brew or the newest features (just make sure to join the discord unless you like typing) Ive been playing TTRPGS since 2014 and character building has never been so easy for D&D as well you can import other game systems on the never version of the app.

I tried again still not working I’m posted this need to be be fixed I’m not paying £10 for crap that doesn’t even work!
Decent
I’d love to give this 5 stars but there are features missing that seem so obvious I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t include them. For example, no custom spell tab. It’s missing spells from most expansions. Same for subclass abilities. If I have to leave the app to look up a spell or ability because I can’t put the deets in the app then why do I have the app.
It's noice
Prism helps me so much with my DnD! It saves me so much time!
Too basic and custom mode is useless
Tried the character creation and at the background choice there were only 8 options… and the "compendium" they had me search through didn’t even have the outlander background. So I stopped there. Also, the custom mode is useless. Had to enter the stats manually, which is fine, but it didn’t even automatically input the modifier.
Good but desperately needs updates
This app is great as it helps me learn dnd. But this app needs way way more variety, the app needs artificer, and more species and some more. Yes I am using the free version but I feel it is missing a lot to make it better. Seriously this app needs more. Also the free version should let people make 3 characters instead of 2 as 2 is too limiting
Pay but no access
I like how this works. I paid for it. I still can't access it. I tried contacting the company and no response. I like to support programs I find fun and useful, but this is a turnoff.

Saving throws don’t work
I know it’s a small detail that can be fixed with brain power, but saving throws don’t take your ability modifier into account.
Too restrictive
In the character creation menu you need to complete all features (tool proficiencies, min num of skill points 3 in each etc) to be able to create a character successfully and this can be annoying as not all campaigns use this and I find that even though you can go into blank character creation it is also to complex (ie no clear class/race selection)
Subscription limits potential
The overall app is great but only allows two characters at any given time. I currently have 3 active characters and a few more on standby, which is inconvenient for me when using this. The choice to limit characters is a bad one since you can use other apps like “5th edition character sheet” to have unlimited characters for free. If you want characters, don’t use this.
Free Version Not Worth It
Limited to 2 characters AND export is a premium feature. If PDF export was free I would consider paying for pro, as strange as that may sound. Instead, I just get the impression that the developers are primarily interested in squeezing as much money as they can out of their users. Sure it's nice that there doesn't seem to be a limit on the number of custom entries you can put in the compendium, but that doesn't do much good if there are only 2 character slots to work with. If there was a character limit but a way to export a sheet without paying for pro, that would telegraph that the devs are trying to make the app functional for free users. The main functionally of a digital character sheet (IMO) is the ability to make quick changes and then be able to undo them easily. That functionality is worth paying for, but not if I feel like I'm being forced into doing it. (As an aside, I don't know what the demographics of the dev team or their userbase are, but I have to tell you, Discord is not nearly as universal as you seem to think it is. Promising "additional content" and only actually having it accessible to those with a Discord login of all things is a frankly baffling decision. Not to mention that it's a horrible place to actually store anything long term... I personally don't have any problem with having to manually input what I want, but this system seems like a huge issue to me)
Fantastic for all players
This is the best DND app I have used, with so many options available from both official and home-brew sources. The ability to create your own is tricky to navigate at first, but when you figure it out it is a powerful tool to have, making home-brew games much easier to set up. The pro option is worth every penny, and I have not run across any bugs that detract from my experience.
No metric system
Weight and height are not metric. Who is still using feet and lbs??? This is a no go…

This app is great. But for some reason I cant edit my custom spells or weapons anymore.
Feature-Rich, Bad UI
Its clear the developer cares very deeply about the app and the regular updates and deep feature set reflect that, but it’s hard to get past the clunky, laggy UI, lacking the smart information density and adaptability of Fight Club or the more precise hierarchical layout of Critico, while completely underutilizing the space of an iPad. Certain pages shouldn’t lag when browsing or flicking between them and yet on an iPad Pro 2nd Gen they do, the spell, equipment and compedium browsing features are surprisingly clunky and over-designed in their layouts and filtering features, important character features become quite spread out across the many pages of the app making them easy to forget or utilize, option menus take up the entire screen despite only having a few small options, the list of weird UI mistakes goes on. While Fight Club doesn’t have as advanced custom content capabilities, it is far, far smarter at displaying spell and item databases and keeping important information together while properly utilizing the screen space of a device, making it hard to recommend this.

The app as a whole is great, it guides you through the struggles of making a D&D character, but there is a character creation limit, you can only make more characters when you pay $9. But again, overall the app is wonderful for D&D character creation

Amazing.
I can see why people don’t understand this app but with a little bit of tinkering it’s amazing. Yes, the import can be a bit overwhelming at first but the discord has a whole channel dedicated for importing. If you’re wanting a character sheet app that is a quick download and play, this is app is not for you. If you’re willing to do a little bit of work and importing, then this app is perfect. Also a one time charge of $10 isn’t half bad compared to D&D beyond charging you for each book or for a monthly subscription. Keep up the good work!

I’m not that math/tech savvy when it comes to putting my own character sheets together. But prism makes it so easy to make characters and simplifies it down to sections, that are easy to access and navigate. Plus they go the extra mile of doing the work for you when it comes to leveling up even after my character is created! I’d say the only thing that would make it perfect, is if it could keep updating with more content, such as more races, and more classes/sub classes. Other than that, it’s really good app.

Absolutely game changing
With the plethora of different apps for TTRPGs it can be difficult to find the best fit for you. With that said, Prism is by far the most user friendly and powerful app that I have had the pleasure to use. I originally tried to use D&D Beyond and other various apps (5eCompanian, FifthEditionCharacter for example). After having used Prism for the last, I believe, two years, I can definitely say that you won’t find a better app for your D&D, Call of Cthulhu, Star Wars: Edge of the Empire, or Pathfinder needs. Sincerely, a throughly pleased user of an amazing gaming utility. (Proud operator of Prism scroll, PrismDM, PrismDjinn, PrismCthulhu, and recently PerformanceChk)

Great app, lots missing
To start, I really like the look of the app and the user interface. I was a bit disappointed, however, when I went to create my character: a Drow rogue/warlock. From the start, Drow was not an available race to select, and then when selecting my warlock spells, Hex (a cornerstone of my build) was also not available. I do understand that I can input all of the data myself in the creator function within the app, but to me the point of using an app such as this as opposed to using pen and paper is that these options are pre-programmed in and I don’t need to write and/or program everything in myself.
