Great game with legs!
I have been playing Word Crossy for more than 7-8 years! It doesn’t really get old because you just can’t run out of words. Sometimes they can be obscure but, hey, you just learned a new one! It’s my daily ‘keep my brain sharp’ activity. Thanx for continuing to add new levels and interspersing hard and easy levels along the way.
Pop up ads
Update: the pop up ads got worse somehow. I put my phone down out of reach in the middle of a game. Next I look at my screen, a website just loaded itself. No no no. Horrible. They just added pop up ads that disrupt the game. I’m on potato stage so have played over 16,400 levels. NOW they do this? Weird. Also, my last game required the words “melic” and “bice.” Good luck guessing some of their vocabulary. Sometimes a word is allowed but not the plural and vice versa. Pretty arbitrary. But obvs I deal with it since I play every day. Boosters are easy to earn and are unfortunately necessary to finish some puzzles.

Ads will not close
I like this game. I also understand that they have to have some ads run between levels to keep it going. However, in the last few weeks they have starting showing ads that you cannot close out. There is no X to close the ad, not even after quite a while. The only way to get past the ad to continue the game, is to close the entire app and then re-open it. And this is not just one ad, but many of them. This is obviously super frustrating and significantly reduces the enjoyment of the game. They developers need to better monitor the ads and fix this issue.
So many ads
I have enjoyed this game for a long time, but the ads have become more frequent, much longer, and there is no way to turn off the sound. I have, therefore, decided to avoid this game.

This game was one first game to load on my phone and I loved it. Leveled up high Was my favorite game While playing last night I got a pop up that said I was hacked so I deleted the game. Really liked this game and the added smaller games If I reload it I have start all over again
Charges for Purchases Not Made
I have made purchases in this app such as screw packages, coins, etc. I have had to continuously request refunds from Apple because I keep getting charge for purchases I have not made. First, I have consideration to an error now, it’s just fraudulent. I will be filing a Consumer Protection Complaint and deleting the app.
Enjoy with a couple of suggestions
I love the game and play almost every day. I usually finish and then go back to play previous games. It would be nice to easily access them without having to scroll down over and over. When you tap on the level list to the left of the screen, you see all the levels but cannot pull them up. It would be really great if you could do that, as it would make it much easier to keep playing. The newest update is filled with lovely colors which makes it a beautiful app. With the newest update, the circles that cover each letter are a bit large. I make more mistakes now because they get overlapped and interconnected. At least on a phone screen where you don’t have a lot of room. Maybe make them a little smaller? Overall, though, I really do enjoy playing this game!
Too many 50% off
Bonus spin for daily prize is a joke. The last 5 times (yes I kept track) it was a 50% off as the prize. There are only 2 on the wheel yet every time it’s the same outcome. That’s some poor programming for a so called “random” prize.

Great game
Great game but your choice of underwear ads is disgraceful and disgusting. There are - I am sure - children playing this game and this isn’t something that they should be subjected to.
Ridiculous amount of ads
This is a very fun game that really makes you think. That being said it is SUPER aggravating that every time you clear a puzzle you have to watch some ad for another game. I understand advertising is how these games exist but really? I have stopped playing several fun and entertaining games because of this.

Former lover
I used to LOVE this game and it became a part of my morning routine each day. Since the newest update, all I get are ads. The ads take longer to get through than to finish one puzzle. I’m extremely disappointed. The least they could do is have an ad after like every 5 puzzles, not after every single one.

New ads destroy the fun
Been using this app for many years. On level 22, 971. Suddenly ads will appear after each level. The only way I found to get back to the game if you close and go back into it. Don’t think I’ll be playing much anymore.

Too Many Glitches
I’m only leaving out one star because I love this game, but not the glitches. The screen always freezes every time I play it. Today, it’s been doing it more than usual. Is there a way you could fix this problem? Other than that, it’s a relaxing game. It sharpens your mind and you even learn new words.
Fun No More
How can they claim improved experience with long constant long winded ads practically after every move. Used to play this game constantly, even entering contests they used to hold Thursday thru Sunday, winning a couple. But something has drastically changed. It’s no longer fun, or even a game I would recommend. Too bad, at the time it was one of the best, now one of the worst IMO. Will likely delete, am sure there are others just as good as they used to be.
THE ADS.
Ok this game for me is very addictive when I can have some music on and just do a bunch of levels and I think this game is meant to be relaxing. What I find ruins the addictiveness and relaxation of it is the ads every second. Finished a level? GREAT! Let’s just give you the same ad you’ve been getting in the last 10 minutes! Just dial down on the ads and I’ll love the game even more.

The background has been a giant red blurry question mark for the last few days. I can’t figure out how to update the app and the help section is unhelpful. The background makes my head hurt!

Sudden loud ads
This game is a fun game and I do like to play it, HOWEVER don’t ever play it while you are anywhere that a sudden loud blast of noise will be a problem. I would play it way more except you finish a quiet game and this incredibly loud and jarring ad unexpectedly begins to play. I don’t want to have to remember to turn my sound off and then back on, so I don’t okay it nearly as much as I would.

Will Make Solving a Joke at a Point
This is my second review. It’s the same but just wanted to reiterate. I love the game as a whole for playing on planes, keeping my mind sharp etc but this is the second time the game has become ridiculous. The first time was around level 3000 and it’s the same now. Recently I won a tournament and all was good but I also paid for coins. That, along with hitting 3000 was the end. All of a sudden I have an average of 30 words in the bonus words, every puzzle has words they literally are guesses and are scientific etc where no one would know them and they almost force you to wait for coins. I get making a game harder. But this is more than that and seems geared toward money making
American English!
Good game but it would be better if there were a British English version rather than American English that had misspelled words compared to UK English. Also doesn’t allow some common words found in UK English such as damn

Great Game Ruined by Ads
Loved the early days where you could rack up tons and tons of coins by solving the puzzles at your own pace. Then they nerfed coin growth. Then they added the ‘option’ of watching ads for coins on top of the regular ads, but at least those were on a different screen. Bruh, now I have a banner ad at the bottom of the PUZZLE and MENU that I can’t X out of. What a coincidence that as the ad-experience worsens a new ‘ad-free’ microtransaction becomes available in the shop.

My mum absolutely loves it. Shes addicted I can’t get her off the game!
Why change?
I’ve enjoyed this game for years until the past few weeks. Now I solve one puzzle and am forced to endure new games that don’t interest me at all. I can’t get another puzzle without getting completely out of the app. I won’t bother anymore.
