My friend sends me links to review homes she’s found, I have the app and each time I try to open what she’s sent- her link doesn’t open- only other suggestions for different places. We’ve tried it multiple ways and each time it never connects to what’s she sent

Buggy APP. Photos don’t load and trip boards are clunky
Within the app photos don’t load and once you make a trip board, there’s no way to sort or filter. Even removing properties is difficult. Especially if you’ve shared the board with anybody else.

Property on the site
I think Vrbo is doing a poorly job and as a matter of fact, I might take your site down. I’m not getting any bookings whatsoever. I talked to the manager about this nothing’s being done.
Confirmation
I completed cc info twice and did not receive a confirmation of any status first Time and site flipped on me and I had to do it again and I’m not certain its the same unit. I’m not very techy. Please advise me asap as to the confirmation and if unpaid twice. Thank you K RICHERT
Host had died 6 months earlier
The place I stayed, Hilltop Hideaway, is still listed even though the host had DIED 6 months *before* we made and paid for the reservation. We had not heard the entry instructions, so we went to the property. We met the current resident, who is the host’s daughter. She even gave me her own phone number, so she could work out with VRBO that they still had the listing up. When we said to the daughter that we had reserved the place, the host’s granddaughter said, “Again?!” The VRBO team was ok, but they kept delaying giving me a refund, saying they need to contact the host (!). They finally did refund it after they saw my attempts on the app to contact the host. Hilltop Hideaway is still listed on the VRBO app.
Historic Building
The relatively high fee seemed to be for the building and location rather than the facilities on offer. The beds were uncomfortable for both of us. We chose the bedroom on the ground floor as the one in the eves was up a spiral staircase. If you need to get up on the night then the upstairs bedroom may not be for you if you are okay navigating the spiral staircase. The height of the eves might also be difficult if, as we are, you are tall. There are no wardrobes in the bedrooms so you use a cupboard in the lounge. Your clothes share the space with the vacuum cleaner; broom; etc. If you prefer to use a dishwasher then you will need to take your own dishwasher tablets etc. You will also need to take additional toilet paper as only one is provided. Once booked, the information sent reads somewhat like a set of rules and, on arrival, the provisions - or lack of them - were are least congruent . This was so unlike many of the other self-catering places we have stayed over the years. However, if you would value staying in an historic building which has been sympathetically renovated and is in a great location and which is not overlooked, then this is for you.
Perfect getaway
The condo was very nicely decorated and stocked. Recently updated and just perfect.
Illegal rental
My neighbor post their apartment on this website as short term rentals. It violates the leasing agreement and cause a lot of troubles for me. I hate this app

Photo loading issue
Serious issues loading photos, especially “guest photos”. I forced app shutdown, restarted WiFi and device(s) and still wouldn’t load.
Historic building

It was the first time the owners had found it necessary to mention that a toilet roll would be placed in the bathroom!! (They did mean only one as well!). There’s a dishwasher but no dishwasher tablets etc. It was also the first time there was no “welcome basket”, not even a pint of milk. Not that it was an issue as we take our own, it’s just a first for us in terms of facilities which felt penny pinching. There is only a cupboard in the lounge for clothes, which also housed the vacuum cleaner, broom etc. However, the property was sympathetically renovated and there were some lovely photographs on the walls. There is a bedroom in the eves, though if you have to get up in the night the spiral stairs would take some negotiating. We are both tall so the upstairs was not an option but we knew that ahead of time. The property is not overlooked and had its own driveway which is a plus. So, if you’re looking for location this property is for you.

Security Holds Beware
Reposting this because VRBO fails to address the issue. I’m reluctantly ok with providing a security deposit (hotels don’t require it to this degree). It is the fact that they charge the full amount (in my case $1500) for A MONTH AND A HALF). It’s not a hold, it’s a full blown withdrawal taking place a month before check-in. Why can’t this be charged at check-in? THEN, they hold the deposit for 14 days after you leave giving ample opportunity for the host to charge the guest for damage that occurred days after their stay. I’m sure VRBO enjoys all the interest on the millions they are holding in deposits for no reason. Release guest deposits promptly. There is no excuse for this.

The Perfect Vacation
The condo is beyond our expectations, very clean, beautiful decor, essentials provided. The weather perfect in September, walking distance to restaurants. We will be back!
Paid in full via Expedia, VRBO charged us again
Ripoff Expedia company. We paid in full for a package vacation on Expedia. Somehow Expedia sent our Citi CC info to VRBO who charged us again for the condo 2700 dollars plus their 300- plus service charge!!! Outrageous abuse/fraud. Expedia and VRBO blame each other. The call centers are of zero (0) help. They blame a technical computer glitch and told us that they would investigate and let us know. No follow through. So we reversed the CC charges but resolution can take up to September unless they acknowledge the double charges. Use these companies at your own risk. We have the documents about what happened and have sent screen shots of them as requested to no avail. Also we own two vacation properties which we have removed from VRBO. Be aware: You can be scammed and the ingratiating customer service is useless. I was contacted by the app designers. They “escalated” the issue, with, of course no resolution. If something goes wrong, expect platitudes, excuses and no resolution. This is a follow up: VRBO has done NOTHING to resolve the double charges. Call center incompetent and patronizing. They do not honor their “No matter what” guarantee. I have provided them with bank documentation to no avail. Do not use VRBO; Owned by Expedia, they are platforms that allowed us to be scammed. I shall escalate this until we are refunded. Beware: If something goes wrong on their end, they will do nothing. Received generic response today from app developer. VRBO promises call centre help- In out case 0 resolution for what was an Expedia/VRBO glitch. Both the web App and internet portal are platforms that are not capable of resolving their errors. We are not the only ones cheated by double charges and bookings. Checkout the web and Better Business Bureau, and a multitude of negative reviews.

Tried to use this app but it's not user friendly
Offers up front pricing but is deceptive. You have to choose an insurance for booking and it's impossible to get a refund.
Good size apartment close to the beach.
The apartment was ok , close to Waikiki beach, free parking but need lots of upgrades. Old fridge and very old furniture. We stayed in the same building (different apartment) last year and that’s why we wanted to stay in the same place. Not lucky this time.

Booked VRBO property in Scottsdale AZ with my son, to go to Spring Training! Property was dirty, unsafe with live wires hanging out of walls, light flickering, just for starters. Host refused any help, VRBO refused any kind of refund or help. I’ll pay more and use AirB&B now. I’m out $800+, had to find alternative, safe lodging, at 0200 in the morning with a scared 12 year old. Thanks VRBO, job well done! 🙄🤬
Exactly what we needed
Nice, clean and quaint cottage with a well stocked kitchen was exactly what we needed for a short stay visiting the Kee to Bala…perfect location. No instructions for TV and somewhat weak Wifi but we were not there to watch TV. Instructions and entry to site were excellent. Recommend for a short stay.
Difficulty finding property I wanted
When I typed in lake front it showed me houses not on the lake even though I checked lakefront box.

Lovely Villa
Beauty Villa, could do with two fridges though as not enough space in the fridge for supplies for 8 people never mind 10. Also the ovens not huge either apart from that Very stylish and fantastic pool.
Missing key feature
Cannot change payment method or update in app. Had to get through a virtual chat then a real chat to be told I need to say up fake dates and a random booking and change my payment method there. Ridiculous.

Bothell Washington stay
The home was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Love the location as it was a very nice place in Washington. Host was quick to answer my questions. Definitely a place to be as it was near and far from Seattle! Thanks for sharing your home with the 6 of us!

Close to local amenities
We had a nice stay with accommodating hosts, thank you Louise for the extra items you provided during our stay. The pool is a bonus and was used on occasions when the weather allowed ☺️ Property would benefit from a little TLC here and there however there is a good selection of items for use in the kitchen plus air-fryer, coffee machine etc. There is plenty of foil, food and rubbish bags etc available, bathroom supplies too which is all a bonus. Bed was comfortable, plenty of storage available and Netflix too. Louise is only too happy to help with anything that might be required along with sharing her knowledge of the area. It's a short walk to local grocery, coffee shop, organic food store etc. There's a nice walk available to Jackadder Lake (around 30 minutes) where you'll find lots of birdlife and a selection of shops, cafe etc. Buses available on Scarborough Beach Rd into Perth City or there's a Free Bus (Surf Cat) to Scarborough. Overall a pleasant stay and hope to return in the future.

Olá! Estou tentando uma reserva para o período do Ano Novo e encontrei diversos lugares que me interessaram, com disponibilidade para o período e valores bem acessíveis. Fiquei vários dias procurando e fazendo reservas, que foram sendo canceladas pelos proprietários devido ao valor, que pretendem aumentar. O site deveria ter como política que, esses períodos para os quais os proprietários pretendem aumentar, não sejam disponibilizados com valores que não são os reais. O usuário do app perde tempo com a procura, com o processo de reserva e recebe uma tremenda frustração como resposta… muito chato isso… tremendamente frustrante e exaustivo!!!! Para ter ideia recebi 4 cancelamentos… kkkk Outros app não funcionam assim …

Endless Tracking - No Apparent Way Around
This app is all friction, by design. I’m not even signed in, yet every click of a sent link brings me to “Here’s where you left off.” Deleted the app, downloaded again. Same thing. I don’t care a bit where I “left off.” Fix this. It’s lame.
Prima appartement
Fijne skivakantie gehad. Het appartement is schoon, fijne bedden, genoeg servies, glazen en bestek aanwezig. Goede communicatie met verhuurbedrijf, kreeg ook klein tasje met afwasmiddel en schoonmaakmiddel. Er was naast het appartement ook een eigen hok waar je je ski’s en skischoenen en helmen kon neerzetten. Vond het ook fijn dat er genoeg haakjes om kleding en handdoeken op te hangen aanwezig waren. 1 minpuntje vond ik de badkamer. Die was erg klein. Maar overall een prima appartement. Was ook makkelijk om naar de skilift te lopen en skiën tot aan je appartement is ook top!
Problem accepting payment
Booked two places in Costa Rica. One the payment was done directly through the rental company and not VRBO which was a problem for my bank. The second place VRBO was supposed to process the payment but something was wrong on their end.
