Please add option for actual credit balance and not available
Please can you add the option to see actual credit balance on the my dashboard page instead of available balance this could be controlled by an additional target on the edit screen and balances if show balance toggle is activated then a toggle button will automatically activate underneath for show actual balance if on then the actual balance will show and not be available balance this will be for credit card and personal credit thank you

Capitec banking app is the best on the South African market by far but it is lacking one thing. Please give us the option to select a transaction and print a history of a year or how long ever only of that merchant. Also make it possible to click on money in or money out and generate a statement only showing money in or out for a year or 36 months. It will make life so much easier with tax.
Update button
Instead of deleting the App to get me version why don’t you put update button? This will make all our lives easier. Am now struggling to download the App back again after deleting.
Why no Dark Mode?
Why can’t my Capitec app have a dark mode option? It’s almost 2027 and no one has thought of that idea, or you have but you’re lazy. Just sayin’ 🦦

This a good app, it’s well developed but may you please do a dark mode for this app? I struggle with the bright colours at night. Thank you in advance!!
Glitch on track money
When I go into "Track money" and "Money out" view, and then select a category (eg, Insurance), it shows me the outgoes in that category. If I go back and click on a different category (eg, Communication), it shows me the outgoes from the first category. In other words, the view gets stuck on the first category I selected.
Missing basic features
Coming from other banks it’s a decent effort but very basic is approach. May I suggest you add the ability to hide accounts e.g. savings accounts and maybe a theme toggle so that it can be aligned to the set device theme. That screen can just be too bright especially at night

Pretty broken and poor ui
The UI is confusing and slow, and strange limits like only 6 favourites on the home page. Phone number verification reliably fails - with a cryptic message about being unable to “read my phone number” after getting a valid confirmation on WhatsApp. This feels like one of those low code no code apps developed by an ISV not by a cutting edge bank … I didn’t think I would say this but ABSA has a better app experience.

Best banking all but unreliable
Capitec banking app is easy to use and is the best banking app so far but my problem is that after downloading the app you have to wait 3 hours to activate the app. I understand it’s for security reasons but there’s already security for face verification there’s no need for the other one because sometimes it’s an emergency and you have to wait 3 hours!

It says my password is incorrect ,I redo another one and it works once and repeat the same thing
Display Bug
There is a black bar at the top when launching the app - this is due to a display/screen scaling issue on the Capitec Bank app. Kindly fix this, it is very inconvenient. Overall the app is good!

18+ Rating for what?
Why on earth would Capitec have an 18+ rating on their banking app? Both my kids bank with Capitec but they are unable to view their online balance or use the app because of the app rating. No other banking app has a rating that high. I have Family controls set up on their Apple phones so my daughters can’t even see the app. I think Capitec needs to relook at this.

Budget function gone
This app is good but, the budget function available on the previous version is gone, you can only track your money but can’t do active budgeting.
Can’t open my bank app
After I downloaded my app this afternoon on my iPhone I then opened it and I see all kinds of options and I click on Creting account after it stops and suddenly I can’t even see any options anymore up to now

Poor functionality
Some functions of the app will not work and at that time you have an emergency, you have to send money to someone but the app will tell you about some error. Its very disappointing because you can’t help someone out because this app is so untrustworthy

Not supported outside of South Africa 😭
Overall the app is good and easy to use but as of a recent update it’s not available on the AppStore outside of South Africa. This has significantly impaired my accessibility to the app and my bank account. Thinking of closing my account because of this.
