Respect player choices to not have to interact with people they do not know and are not friends with, and let us opt out of matching with random people in settings. Please also address the app size since this app now takes 2.5 GB for no clear reason.
Too many fake words
too many fake words. EMF Is “EMF”. Not a valid word but accepted as a valid word. I see one or two of these. Cut it with these fake words with no definition but accepted as a real word
Battery draining app
The game is still fun, but it’s very inefficient and drains the battery life of my iPhone 16 Pro Max like no other app.
Too many ads
Great game except….Ads between every game?? Most games I play have the option to buy out of ads for good. But this charges $9.99 to cut out ads for only one month? Really??

It has been fun to. But now it seems to have changed. Seem like Muslims are either own it. The words now are many Arabic words that the average AMERICAN would not know not fun anymore
Foreign words
What is going on wit this game? My word today was ennui. I had to look it up because I, like most average people who haven’t mastered any foreign languages, this one was a head scratcher. Since when do put obscure foreign words in an English speaking puzzle? This is very frustrating!

I love the game hate the ads way too many ads after each word played but the no ads fee is too costly overall great game
So unhappy
A group of friends play Words W Friends that has developed even deeper friendships. This morning (8/29/2026) the ads were titled "You don’t have to pay to Watch". It showed an extremely busty woman sticking out her breasts in a vulgar way. (Twice and much worse the 2nd time). I’ve stopped the games and I can't, in good conscience, play it again. I will tell everyone why. Isn’t there something you can change?

The amount of pop ups and ads is so aggravating and makes me play less and less. I will go days without playing just because I don’t want to deal with all the clicks
Update always needed
Not only do I feel like I have to update this app every other day but the Temu ad is ridiculous. You have the WHOLE page to click the ad and only a small corner to click the X yet the darn ad takes you a pop up that says cancel or confirm and even if you hit cancel it auto takes you to the app. I have to force close the app every time just to get past the ad. At least the rest of the ads (while annoyingly not of interest) close when you tap the X. The Temu ad is redundant and making me want to just delete this app after having it over 12 years.

I do not like the way games close out have to do twice Also I had to delete app on iPad and now it doesn’t show same games I’m playing on iPhone and now the games aren’t showing it’s my turn to play and won’t let me play I just recently lost all my games thought could delete app and sign back in with Facebook. It all games are gone and still games show me notifications but then I go to play and it shows opponents turn

App is super buggy and FULL of ads. Has a lot of useless “rewards”. Ads always have small X buttons too to ensure they get their clicks. Crashes often or ads just pull up a black screen you so you have to hard close the app.

I really dislike having changes made to the app that makes it more difficult to earn points for our teams…why did you take away the videos to earn points?! I hate the videos during game play. Earning points for the team which is why we waste our coins on it. Lame sauce. Bogus

Intrusive ads, I used to have ad-free
My email changed. Now cannot seem to get the ad-free version that I play on my iPhone on my iPad. And seems no way to get ad-free. I play one move and an ad pops up, and I cannot even see how to make it go away. I hate this app I used to love.
Great game
I’ve been playing WWF for years with no issues, it’s been great, but since the latest update I cannot claim my rewards at all. I hope there’s a fix for it soon so I can continue enjoying the game I’ve loved for so long.
Not happy
Ads are terrible. I understand the ads are necessary, but they won’t go away even after hitting the X on the top three or four times they just keep opening up on the website I get so frustrated. I just get out of the game. I’ve been playing it for years, but I think I’m done.

It’s a decent game, only problem is that you will never get the correct amount of club trophies you have earned. On an average of 8000 trophies a week I don’t get. I used to pay for the pass every month, but I quit buying it because of this. We have lost several times because of this. I got an email from zynga apologizing for this problem. I the played the game and of course I didn’t get 2200 trophies. It’s unfixable apparently, or they have no idea how to. Zynga is hiding an algorithm that cuts off your 25 free ad coins the moment you buy a pass. Here is our proof. Like many of you, I noticed that once you or someone in your club buys a pass in Words With Friends, the daily option to watch ads for 25 free coins suddenly vanishes and gets replaced exclusively with useless power-ups. When I reached out to Zynga support, they flat-out denied it and called it a "coincidence." So, my club and I decided to run a controlled, multi-day test to see if their algorithm is quietly altering rewards for paying users. Our Test Setup: We tracked 5 active players in our club (including my wife and son) who all consistently averaged 25 free coins a day from ad viewing prior to purchasing a pass. Day 1: My wife bought a pass. Instantly, the 25 free coin ad option disappeared and was replaced by power-ups. Day 2: My son bought a pass. The exact same thing happened immediately to him. The Control Group: The remaining club members who did not buy a pass continued to receive their 25 coins daily without interruption. This isn’t random. It’s a systemic trigger tied directly to the pass purchase mechanism that strips away promotional ad-rewards once you spend money. We aren't looking for refunds—we just want Zynga to stop hiding it, drop the automated denials, and tell the players the truth about how their reward system actually functions. Thank you for your feedback. We truly appreciate you sharing your detailed experience with us. It’s clear that the trophy and ad coin issues have significantly impacted your enjoyment of the game, and we value your insights on this. Your observations regarding the changes in ad rewards after purchasing a pass are important, and we are checking into this matter internally. We encourage you to contact our in-game support team with any issues you may have. Thank you for playing Zynga Games." This is the letter they sent me for this review. It’s a lie as well, I’ve gotten this same letter several times over a 2 to 3 year battle with Zynga. They know what they’re doing and won’t fix it. TRUTH is not in them.
Claim Rewards banner won’t go away
It will only go away if I SELECT PREMIUM. For which I need to pay, which I don’t want to do. I’ve been playing for 11 years now…. Great game. But this and ever more aggressive advertising is making me consider moving on.. Please help.
Too many bugs
Currently finding a bug every day or two. Really tired of paying for something that doesn’t work properly. Used to pay less and have fewer problems. Too many new options and nobody needs thousands of tile styles! Stop introducing new stuff and get the basics right!
Temu ads
If you play the free version, there are many ads that won’t close out. Right now it’s the Temu ad that won’t close out so I have to shut down my phone to get rid of it.
Play with friends
Been playing this for years. Was a great way to keep in touch with elderly family member who lived far away. Crossword can be a little annoying as often rejects British words like teet which is acceptable word. Actual scrabble game is fun

SOLO CHALLENGE
Been playing WWF for years and play the solo challenge every week. This week the games won’t load and when they do the bot just keeps going round and round and say thinking. Then a message comes up oops can’t load games try again later…I’ve been trying for 3 days now and still can’t play. I’ve refreshed the app and shut down the game on my I pad..even resigned a game..still nothing Any ideas ???
Spend more time with ads than playing
I used to love this game. 15 years! However the ads are just getting so bad. They are the most ridiculously-in-your-face garbage. At least there’s the option to pay $14 a month to get rid of them (which is nearly as annoyingly aggressive as the ads)… gee thanks The same complaint I have - I see the developer responding to others, saying “your feedback is important to us and we’re working on it“ with NO correction. They’re just responding to save face. It’s about to go. 😞
Ads during turn
What is this now that while I am thinking about what I’m going to play, ads pop-up in the middle of my turn! I’ve had a number of ads that stick so long and/or don’t give you a way out that I have to quit the game. I don’t think that’s what you want. We used to be able to earn points to get a free tile swap, etc. Now I’m watching 30 second to two minute ads and I earned maybe one point a week.

No Longer User Friendly
You earn trophies and on Tuesdays, they are stolen and sometimes you will just be left with 500 trophies down from maybe even 80,000+. Also if you get a streak going ? ☠️beware☠️ because they’re going to cut it . . . whether it’s a streak between opponents on how many days you played the game, or the very very important GUESSWORD streak, which I had up to 233 and they have again reset me down to zero. The customer service in the past has been great. However, they have grown tired of me pointing out the problems and will no longer help me. Again, my GUESSWORDstreak (almost 700) and it’s been cut again. They simply do not keep track, they do not care. YOU WILL NEED CONTINUOUS “SUPPORT” AND THIS SUPPORT IS NOT FRIENDLY
