Great deals
With the price of groceries these days, it is good to get half price deals on food. I use immediately or store in freezer. Wonderful!
App is awful. Zero support
App doesn’t work anymore! Recently I haven’t been able to get past the login screen after iPhone restore. I enter my credentials and nothing happens. I submitted a trouble ticket and no response a week later. Clearly this is a major widespread issue based on recent reviews but rather than acknowledging the issue and posting something on the website the company has been silent. Were we hacked? Get it together
Quick and easy
It is refreshing to be able to get food at a reduced price. It’s also fun to search through the food and pick out what you need.
Deals no longer deals
Used to get a good sized bag of discounted produce, however the amount given has shrunk to the point it is no longer worth it. When I can buy fresh for less than the discounted price why would I use app and pay a fee?

Employees take good stuff
Employees take first dibs on anything worth buying and they also text their family and friends when the deals on good things will be going live so they can be first in line for them. You get left with garbage. Loblaws and Flashfood won’t do anything about it. Also, why do the $5 produce boxes give me 30 oranges that are going to be expiring in the next two days? at least give me an assortment of different fruits and vegetables instead of just being lazy and piling 60 of the same fruits in the same bag. Then another bag for $5 filled with only eggplant…SPLIT THEM UP

Sudden Account Deletions
Had my account signed out for no reason. Tried to change password but received no email. Eventually tried signing in with my Google account to be prompted creating a new account. Hard time trusting how this happened without notice.
It’s great when it’s good, but customer support when needed is all but nonexistent

I love this app! The $5.00 produce bags are well worth the money! Many other great deals as well! With the costs increasing these days this app is a lifesaver!!
Forget refunds
I ordered 3 items and when I got to the store , none of the Iran were in stock so they told me to ask for a refund ..been exchanging emails with them for days and I just got 1 of the 3 items refunded..will be deleting my account and I do not recommend this app at all.

I had many positive experiences using the Flashfood app, but my late July order will be the last. When I went to pick up my order, it was no longer showing in the outstanding, rather it was showing that I had picked it up two weeks prior, on the actual order date. I had not. I have sent several messages to support and have not heard back. As the store location only asks for a first name when doing a pick up, maybe somebody else got my order? Either way it was still showing as outstanding at the beginning of August. How could it then have shown as picked up on 25 July?

Great app for savings and to avoid waste
My only suggestion would be to add a picture or something to indicate local food or origin.
Scammers
They use AI and agents ignore any info you give them so they don't have to refund your purchase when you are sold spoiled food. Thankfully your credit card company will issue a chargeback when they don't respond :) MAKE SURE YOU USE CHARGE BACKS!!!!! Flashfood has completely stopped replying to issues.
Great deals - if it’s still there
I have been using Flashfood for many years now and saved a lot of money. Sometimes when you go to pick up an item, it might not be there for whatever reason (which is not Flashfood’s fault). If this happens, they have always been great at crediting back the amount to my card. My only beef is when I have selected stuff on the app to buy and am still looking at other items, other people can still select and buy the items that are in my cart before I hit pay. I really would like you to fix this issue. Didn’t always happen, but when it does, it’s very annoying. Please fix this so that as long as I’m in the app still browsing that it’s mine until either I pay or leave the app.
Zero Deals within 500 Miles:(
Developers, please try to update your app with a list of regional locations the app actually applies. I was excited about it, then found absolutely zero deals anywhere in Texas. Thanks!
Imperfect
Not everything is able to be sold on shelf. Some items maybe be missing a piece or two. Sometimes I reject items myself… But most times items are okay and just need to be bought before they’re expired

Used to be great. Now unusable
This app was great until 3 updates back. Now you can uninstall, reinstall, try a new login, use an old login, everything that the developer suggests and the login screen loops back to the initial screen. I have tried every variation on 3 iPhone SEs 2022 editions and they all do the same thing.

The food I picked up was spoiled and customer service was fast and easy to deal with! Refund granted in less than 24hrs.

Easy and quick
Easy to use app, easy to search what’s available and to purchase. Easy pickup also. Also quick service/refunds if anything turns out spoiled, etc., so no risk.
App doesn’t work for a long time now
I’m not sure what happened or why but I can’t click on anything in the app. This has gone on for a long time now and even with multiple updates the app still doesn’t work. It’s a shame and frustrating
Amazing awesome app
I love Flashfood and it’s team. It works best when checked often for updates as the really great deals go super fast, blink and they’re sold to someone faster on the buttons. Some stores do choose to do some underhand tactics such as listing a product that’s best before date is months away and the product is only slightly discounted. Looking at you No Frills with the unsalted butter for $6… which is the normal sale price of unsalted butter. My gosh, 6$ for a brick of butter and that’s the cheap stuff these days. SMH. For those stores it’s buyer beware and pay close attention to the prices. Cherry picking the stores and deals leads to some truly great savings though. Such as 2 pound cartons of blueberries for a $1. Or bars of soap for a third of the price as normal. I have enough bar soap to last years now, cause I’m just so fresh and so clean clean lol But even better then the deals consumers can get is the fact that the Flashfood customer service representative (CSRs) respond promptly to any issue that may arise with a purchase order. The CSRs have always quickly refunded any spoiled food items or items that the store employee missed from the order. I feel very confident and comfortable making purchases knowing that if there is anything amiss Flashfood makes it right for the consumer with the ease of simply putting in a request for help with them. I feel great knowing the CSRs have my back and I feel great buying food that otherwise may have wound up trashed and making methane in the dump. In my opinion this app is a win win for waste reduction and for helping cash strapped consumers stretch their budgets a lot further. Thank you Flashfood, keep up the great work!
Missing items
I have so many missing items experience in the store specially at Real Canadian Superstore Westwinds Location in Calgary. They told us to refund in the APPs But, unfortunately no answer in the email for more than a month now. I haven’t gotten any refunds yet for all my missing items. I contacted Flashfood so many times but so disappointing that no response yet.

Wanted to like it.
Seemed like a great idea but I factory reset my phone and now I can’t log in. I’ve tried uninstalling the app trying to change the password. It lets me put in all the log in info but just keeps going back to the sign in screen. So it’s useless.
