Paid for a year but never could log in
I paid $130 for a year and logging in has never worked. Cant get hold of support either. This sucks. Help!!!

I’ll be in the middle of a lesson and the option to start a free trail will pop up. It would be better if it popped up after the lesson is over.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE TUNER!?!?
I was doing the tutorial, and the tuner was HORRIBLE!! It didnt work, it repeatedly told me to tighten my string and caused me to pop my string an livid!!!

The built-in tuner is horrible and not accurate. It does not identify the string correctly. Lame.

I wish that you didn’t have to pay for so much of the experience I knew how to play emin but I still had to sit through the video I also knew how to read tab and hold my guitar.

Everything has been great except the tuner was a little off.
Do not like the new pop-ups in the app
Do not like the forced review and the automatic skip to next song or play the same song every time I finish a song. Also do not like the fact that the library is filled with a bunch of midi backing tracks.
Great Teacher but i have some thoughts
Justin is a great teacher, he does a great job explaining through very specific situations which is super helpful. That said, it’s very rock and roll forward so if you’re interested in learning guitar through a different genre (I personally am more interested in indie guitar music than rock) I would suggest a different app. I also think he can be a bit long-winded. He’ll play a riff for a good 30 seconds, it seems like he’s having a great time which is amazing, but not for me.
Great app
This app is great, I’ve learned way more than any other method I’ve tried and it’s easy to follow along 90% of the time but the other 10% which is mostly in the videos teaching how to play songs I feel like a lot of the parts after the initial notes and chords start to get rushed explaining them which often gets me lost, then I try and write it all down or find the tabs online which most of them time gets me more confused. So for future reference, slowing down a little teaching through out the whole song and doing more review especially as it gets tougher through the song it would be awesome!

The app is really slow so it can get irritating and it doesn’t teach you much it just jumps into playing immediately

Major song purge
Let me say first, that I have used this app for about 4yrs, exclusively for the songs. it’s tough when you spend so much time on a song and then it’s gone. The app just removed some great songs by the Beatles (Let It Be, how can they lose that song?), Neil young, John mellencamp, Rolling Stones etc., they did add some new songs that I wouldn’t mind playing, but they also added some Billy Joel songs, I like Billy Joel, but the songs have 20 different chords in them and they are not beginner or even early intermediate chords and on top of that, some of the chord boxes for the chords are empty, no explanation on how even to finger them.

Needs Rework
I tried this because it has a library to play along with. I wasn’t looking for a teacher. Everything was copacetic…well usable for my purposes anyway up until the latest update went into effect. Since the update I know have to navigate through the newest screen congratulating me for my accomplishments and asking if to proceed to next in list. Prior it would automatically move to the next in queue and pause and wait for signal to start. This newest where it just jumps to the next in queue and automatically starts really sux and I don’t like it at all. I can’t possibly in good conscience recommend this to ANYbody unless you can provide a work around so that the program function shuffles random or in numerical sequence and queues to next up and pauses waiting for start by user. I will explore OTHER options come September.
Great learning application
Really enjoy this application, learning is progressive and rewarding. I know this is a small thing but one thing that bugs me is that the daily streak score is 24 hours after your last lesson. So if you practice 5-6pm and then practice 7-8pm the next day you lose your streak. It should be if you play anytime the next day not within 24 hours to maintain your streak. Small but its motivation that sometimes helps
Mixed for me
Some videos are helpful and there is supplemental practice routines. Others he quickly goes through and there is no other mention or exercise to practice. Please put supplements for the riff videos in particular. It’s frustrating watching someone who is very good at guitar quickly go through something that is difficult and act like you should pick up what to do from the video alone. C major scale exercises cannot be paused. The more I use this the more bugs I find.

Not to bad of a start it is rushed and does not use the mic to check if student is doing it correctly.

Missing basic instruction
Jumps from A to D without telling you how to get there. The basic practice lessons make zero sense.
Enjoyable
I like this app, the lessons are well laid out and I find it enjoyable. What let it down for me was playing the first song, Justin strums and plays in a style that is much more advanced than the stage your at for that module, I found that a bit off putting and it made that section a lot less enjoyable as it was difficult to play along and felt frustrating
Doesn’t work
Justin’s teaching is great and his lessons are well structured however all of this is available on the website. I wanted the app for the chord change routines etc however the app fails to register the chords when I play them. Constant issue. Add to that the constant crashing and need to restart. Give the app a miss.
Awesome learning tutorials but..
I assumed that a tutorial was included with the songs. All I see are the chords to play along with, unless I’m missing something. Disappointing.

Very frustrating
Since the recent update I literally can’t get this to work! I have to delete and download multiple times a session! It’s completely unusable and not worth the subscription at all. I will end mine unless something changes very soon! I see other users are flagging this too in the reviews. Before the update this was an issue some of the time but now it’s all of the time!! I have tried contacting you but that page just glitches too!!!

I purchased it before I even downloaded the app thinking it was gonna be great and it’s been terrible service. They keep saying I need to resubscribe.
Great app
Really like this app. I’ve been struggling to learn guitar for about 20 years. Repeated pattern of picking it up for a few months before giving up after going down a rabbit hole of you tube lessons, etc. I wanted a structured lesson I could do at my own pace, I’ve had a few in person lessons but found them expensive and instructors are a bit hit and miss. Funny enough I started watching Justin’s videos about 20 years ago but gave up with it. This format is so much better, particularly like the songs you can play along with. Lots of choice and I’ve made more progress in last 3 months than last 20 years. Really helped pull everything together. The only downside is that the app tends to crash or freeze fairly regularly which is a little frustrating hence 4 stars. Thanks Justin for putting this together.
Poor - don't subscribe!
Basically my take on this is just go to Justin's website and sign up to access the content and stay well clear of any subscriptions to this app! There are much better guitar music apps out there. Justin's content is great but the provider (Musopia) is absolute rubbish. Flagged bugs in thir songs and they promised to fix it but then took a year and only fixed it when I chased for it. As soon as it had been fixed and I renewed for a year they've removed a significant portion of the songs in repertoire.
Good but
I love this app, this app helped me properly tune and actually help me with chores and frets, but why do I have to pay every time I try to go to monologue 2? Like I’m just tryna learn, it’s not like I’m in an intruder or a predator please remove the subscription or unlock the rest of the monologues so I can actually learn how to play fully instead of having to pay for the rest of them.

No for advance guitarrist
I got charged the full year as I forgotten to unsubscribe from the trial. Is great for beginners but not for advanced, no licks no riffs whatsoever is all simple chords and pentatonic scales.

Justin used to be fun. Now it is third rate songs and the same ol’ strum patterns. Got rid of half the songs I played almost every day. So boring now. Not going to renew subscription.

Phone vs Mac
Well I thought this app would work on my Mac but it seems not. I feel let down as I use my electric guitar plugged in the garage band on my Mac and was hoping to use te app alongside.
