Have been playing since 2010 & seen many changes to this game some bad some good but overall it’s a really good war game
OSW was the peak years
I’ve been playing this game since the 2010s, but it’s finally came to a point I have to call it quits. The events killed it for me, as with everyone I knew from the old days. It’s really a shell of its former self. The one good thing this game brought me was friendships that have lasted over a decade without us ever meeting. Those really were the days.

All downhill
Been playing since 2012, this game has been going downhill since B2B events were released. And now they turning this into a kiddy 142T game instead of the 142,376,982,476,512 game. Im not even going to mention my rant on the Global EB bs that’s happened this year. I’m so utterly disappointed in what the current devs have done to this game.

I have been playing this game now for 14 years off and on was originally in crackdown till the osw with black hand then found my self in mercs legion until devs created a problem in game of clan hoppers. Every even is basically driven by hopping. I really wish they would fix this and make this go back to being a clan based game. Make the events worthwhile being loyal to a clan. It would bring back so many people. Honestly should give this 3 stars but I’m having faith that you guys will fix this. KaW will forever have a place in my heart. Please never disband it.
Poor battle system
Players that are many times larger than you in stats can attack you day and night. You are hopeless to win any action against them. Also, the wandering villager ruins your battles multiple times when you do spy action to players you should be winning against. There’s no point. Delete this game. Download something else. A Thinking Ape doesn’t have a clue.
14 years and going
I’ve been playing it nonstop for 14 years. Regardless of some bugs and up and downs in game support, the game is nicely addictive. Be prepared to lose your account / investment $$$ anytime, the developper can easily wipe you out for different reasons.

Used to love this game, especially the social side. I recently downloaded this and found my account had been banned, unfortunately. It's been a few years since I played but I stopped due to lack of time so not sure what’s happened there 😂. I’ve reached out to the devs but they haven’t responded to me, hope to play again soon!
Kingdoms at war
While I enjoy playing the game I feel that the developers are lacking in the areas that are needed to keep new and older players interested we haven’t had any new epic battles released in what seems for ever and the game desperately needs the release of new lands as the ally market is getting beyond a joke for any players with decent stats cost more than they are worth

Promotes Bullying
The game is rigged for players twice your size to be able to attack you and you cannot hit back. The point of the exercise is to anger you into spending lots of money and time increasing your size, only to have the exercise continually repeat itself. There will always be someone twice your size.
Devs has made strides to improve game since previous review
The last time I reviewed this game a couple years ago, I went into long detail about how the game is catered to the big spenders/top players and how it is not a new-player-friendly game. I still stand by this but at the time I wrote, the game was stagnating and seemingly had no future. While I still worry about the game’s ability to attract and retain new players, I can see that they have tried to bring meaningful change. I don’t know what internal changes have been made at ATA but they have been good and it’s been benefitting this game bringing more of what the players want back. My review remains 4 stars but it is worth nothing my previous 4-star review was more so upheld by its 5 star history with me. It was a pity 4 because. This time around it’s a solid 4 star review. Keep doing what you’re doing, ATA, your work doesn’t go unnoticed!

Game needs more new ebs, more help for new players and they need to find a way to bring more people to the game.

The game has just become far too complex and requires too much attention to grow with all these immense expansions.
Stale
I recently jumped back into playing this game after a many year hiatus and I was happy to see some meaningful changes. However, it seems those meaningful changes are no longer happening with any haste by the developers and the community has been incredibly vocal about that on this game’s forum. In fact, under every single update the developers have posted since I returned have asked for new content. Unfortunately, I have not seen a single response from the developers. I think I am nearing the end of my journey with this game as I too am getting to the point where the content is stale. Running the same 2-3 epic battles for 6 months now is not exactly the type of content that keeps people engaged. I think this stale feeling is amplified when you see the developers actively ignoring dozens of comments asking for the same changes. That being said, the core function of the game is still fun! What’s left of this community is very active and friendly. I just wished the developers played a more active role in developing and interacting with the community.

Developers Gave Up
Honestly, I miss the old developers. The current ones are a lot more talkative and outreaching, which is nice… except that when they ask for feedback they say they listen and care but don’t do a thing about it. They take away so much yet add so little. So many players have quit do to being unable to grow in the game. It’s been what like 8 years of the same copy and paste collection events doing the same two ebs (goth/noth) for literally like 8 years. You log into game to unload once and not log on again. The devs I think have been told by the upper management to help phase out Kaw to die. It’s very sad. I love this game… but the devs gave up on it.

It’s a tap tap game.
As some one who has played this tap tap game for over ten years I can say it’s good for what it is. It’s relatively easy to play. My one major gripe is the inability to see a history of who hired your allies. That’s a double sided coin I understand. It pops up in your recent news history and if you’re in an active clan it’s gone very quickly. you do your tap tapping & close the game, come back later & your down several allies. People will always complain about pay to win games so I won’t waste my time complaining because it’s not a game you can win. I will say once you’ve completed all the new player quests, there is no way to earn Nobility in the game. The earn free nobility tasks found in the marketplace are horrible in my opinion. I’m happy this option was explored, but several times I’ve not gotten the Nobility & there’s no way to do anything about it. The majority of the tasks I saw involved spending money on other websites & doing never ending surveys.

How we can sell buildings to build better ones
7yrs later
Been playing KAW for over 7yrs now. I've seen it go from a simple but great game to a game to complex for a newbie to grasp, and now seems to be more about decorating your castle than war!!! Decorating your castle was NOT an option when the game was good. I had build plans once... new lands keep appearing now throwing all plans out the window, so I can't make the WAR build I want, but I can put a fluffy carpet down making my castle look so much more comfortable, just the sight of my comfortable castle must scare off my enemy as I no longer get incoming attacks, nor do I feel the need to leave my comfy throne to attack others. If possible can we get a games rooms added to our castle??? If so a couple of old classic games machines would be great, frogger, pac-man, and maybe even an old version of KAW where war is still involved. I miss KAW (daily player).
Kingdom Progress Wiped?
Redownloaded app after not playing since 2014 to find that my kingdom had been deleted. My account has the 10-year award as proof that I had a kingdom - maybe it’s still out there, somewhere - but nobody can assist with recovering the old username.

I like this game it’s fun you build you join your clan meet some. Interesting people. Help you grow and understand the game. And if you ask the devs they fix or give you advise and quite quickly if you have any issues. Enjoyable
Support hard to get
Most recent version included bug fixes. I am growing tired of waiting for fixes after bug fix release. So we have changes, than we have fixes to changes made, than we have fixes to fixes, and more fixes to fixes. This is first time I was able to log in after last series of fixes to fixes to fixes were released. It took 4 days to finally be able to log in. And it is like that every time new thing gets introduced. This is no way to enjoy a game. I would have dropped app if I weren't involved socially with game. But I cannot fathom any new player would put up with incompetence of that magnitude. Game is still growing in features, but unadressed problems to known issues are making community of players angry.

Kaw..ran by two-faced devs
Have been playing kaw for about 13 years now and the devs show time and time again that they are out for themselves and care nothing about the players unless you spend big $. They care nothing about anyone else and will ban players for the smallest infraction without hearing both sides first. Week after week I tell all I know to NEVER download and play this game. Will never give ata another dime and give kaw little to no attention these day’s.
Long time player
Played this game for over 6 years now, changed a lot since back in the day but still enjoyable. Activity in the social side of things is a must if you want to truly enjoy the game. Keep coming out with new content (epic battles, add plunder bonuses to certain equipment or add clan levels/ bonuses that can be upgraded with IN GAME money) keep paying attention to feedback, and improving and I'll keep playing.
Don't bother now
Game started out okay, the occasional bug that was tolerable, now it's gotten to the point where I have to reinstall the app every time I want to use it. This latest update has by far been the worst update they've done. Support has no idea what to do and apple isn't at fault.
Stability issues & recent changes are a visual pain
New update means the pages no longer fit on your device properly- need to change it back as the buttons are now tiny... Need to spend money to progress well. Stability is an ongoing issue. Have a love/hate relationship with this game but it is still very addictive...
