Good game been playing for years
I need help I send a code to a email but didn’t do anything and it’s lost so I need to resend it, I love this game and you should aswell and who cares it’s pay to win if you wanna win but time pays more then then lazy players, time pays more if you enjoy the game, events help a lot

You can download the game for free but you better be prepared to be homeless if you actually want to compete against other players or participate in the events.
Games more stable now but one more issue
Obviously attacking other players is part of the game. But why is someone who is level 1700 able to attack a level 80 player? Not only is it unfair, it is toxic. I have a clan mate who was relentlessly attacked daily and ended up quitting the game because there was a clan attacking him every single day. Multiple times bringing him to 0. Attacking is part of the game but to what extent? There’s no reason such a mechanic is being abused so openly. Even if that player beefed their account with real currency, there’s no way they’re touching that player. It’s unfair. Perhaps keeping a certain level cap? Level 1000+ players should be amongst themselves, it really does stop people from gaining interest when you’re getting ran over by people who paid money and played since the dawn of time.
Energy systems at their worst
The game could possibly be fun if you could actually play it. As the title suggests, the energy systems in the game kill any potential for enjoyment. Of course you can swipe your credit card like your trying to start a friction fire in order to actually get any game time, but I recommend simply playing something else.
Castle age
I have been playing this game since it started. Are used to be such a great game. I loved it so much used to be so active but the problem is the game continually crashes. You’re constantly losing stuff that you can never get back and less you have screenshots of your stuff The game is just gone downhill, it’s like they keep the game running so they can get your money but they never really update or fix anything it’s been the same problems for the last 10 years and that’s why people are leaving this game in droves. If they would actually put the money they earn from us back into the game and fix it it would be a five star game.
Great Game
I have been playing for over 9 years. It’s a true idle game where you don’t have to actively defend a base. It has progressed over time to generate multiple paths for long term players with a great mix of battling other players, hunting monsters and scheduled guild battles.

I’m really enjoying the game but it keeps crashing a lot. I hope that this issue gets fixed soon

Looks like the app has yet to catch up with iOS 16.1 as many functions fail to load. The biggest issue is with Oracle and the inability to purchase.

Game been here a long time. Dedicated following. Fifth generation of devs. Likely to be here for a long time. One of the most equitable games for free to play players things take longer but you can be relevant without spending. Game has a player managed good wiki, forums and a very active game provided discord site for information. Play revolves around building characters, multiple team battle formats, individual activities and a regular assortment of events. Development efforts continue with player input through discord. Multiple generations of features. Does not require constant supervision and works well with whatever amount of time you have to play. Meet lots of people from around the world. Most also use third party social media within 100 person guilds for communication. iOS, Facebook, and web interfaces provide a few different experiences.,

Everything this app does is about more money nothing for real enhancements. Take it from someone who has played it for 15 years. Dont even start

The Facebook log in is always broken it seems and I refuse to start over on a new account and lose literal years of progress I started this game in high school and I only play super ultra casually as well.

Really good and fun once you get used to it. Would like it to not crash as much and a good tutorial would be nice.
Not sure where to start
They got a fun game at its foundation but it’s bogged down by bugs and pay to win mechanics. It constantly crashes and most of the rewards your supposed to get from achievements just aren’t given. If you want any meta generals you better be ready to pay because most favor points from achievements won’t be rewarded.
3 stars for 50% functional game
I’ve been playing castle age for a good while now (more than 5yrs) and have several friends who play along with my family. It’s a fun button push game with lots of things to keep you busy, but it seems recently the game crashes a lot. I understand there is a web portal but it’s just not as convenient as an iPad app. Sure wish the devs would fix these things: Game crashes when reading 2-3 mail items quantity selection pull down doesn’t work in land purchase;must buy land 1 at a time Crash when buying more than 1 consecutive pieces of land Crash if tap to attack monster/duel/invade too quickly Not all achievements gain credit Application support web portal crashes when issue is reported I work in corporate software development for a international EPC company, and I was really disappointed when I took the time to describe these issues in detail and provided screen captures and hitting submit crashed their support site... not sure if these guys are trying to keep the game alive or not.

Terrible app
The app was great when it came out but has degraded over the years with the advancement of the iPhone. Most of the pages you go to now are simply black and can’t be played rendering the app useless. I switched to the web based version a couple of years ago and haven’t looked back. DO NOT download the app. Use the web based version of the game. Also, You can do a lot more in the game with the web version

Please fix Facebook login issue!
The Facebook login shows only “expired” every time I try to get in, instead of asking me to fill in my login details again. Please fix this so the Facebook login doesn’t become a broken function after being used once! Previous review: Complicated games are fun once you get the hang of it... Great game! And the app makes it easier to access a lot of the features. Very complicated from the beginning, need lots of patience to learn and get the grip of things. Gets more fun as you learn more. It would be nice if the in-between waiting page of Celesta can be updated, it's been like that for a few years already, giving that waiting page a new look would really enhance the app and give it a refreshing feeling!
Castle age Facebook login has expired.
I was an early player 2011-13, had a guild and could post monsters and guild battles to FB. Also use chat for guild battles as other team can see battle chat. I have returned to play and could only log in through my Facebook login, which I haven’t had trouble with until today. I spent 19.99 on a hero’s pack of FPS and the game crashed and now I can’t log in on either of my CA or Facebook login. I have updated app, restarted iPad, several times and the splash page appears to load but then gives me the message that my Facebook login has expired. What is going on, have not had problems with Facebook login other than the usual 2-3 crashes everyone experiences every day. I like this game, wish the new guild pages worked with stats for monsters and battles. The main page is ok, but can’t track my guild players progress unless I gotta can go to the old guild page and get monster and battle stats. Also can’t see other players on my gate or team in the battle report on guild battles only me. Hard to coordinate a battle if I can’t see my home teams plays. Anyways, what’s up? Seems like it was less wonky and more interactive ten years ago. What’s with my Facebook account expired. Checked FB, I’m logged in and settings are the same. Advise please. THanks Snow Queen.

Played till DECA took over
I played for years but once DECA took over the game completely changed and became a money game. Seems DECA is where good games go to die. I am only writing this as a warning to people who play walking Dead - no man’s land. Do not play this game and expect No mans land to die like Castle age did.

I understand it's coding and things go wrong, so I'm not too angry because it happens. But I (and many others) can't access quests without it crashing the app. Thought you ought to know, so you can look into it, if you aren't already. The only other issue I have is the guild battle enter button next to the leave guild button, seems like a bad place to have it to me... Overall a good app just needs a few things tweaking.
Mixed feelings
I loved playing this game years ago when it was on Facebook and was happy to find the app a couple of weeks ago, although I’m finding it very confusing and can’t seem to get basic questions answered in wiki. My main complaint is how buggy it is. The app *always* crashes every second or third thing I accept in News, and several times a day I have problems loading it; the screen just stays blank, or the game only loads to where I can see the buttons but nothing else, and clicking on them does nothing. Disappointing.

Enjoyable
I enjoy this game a lot!!! I just started playing again in the last few years. I use to play this about 10 yrs ago, but switched phones and lost everything.. got ticked and didn’t start over because it takes along time and hard work to get to the level I was 700 something. I refused to start over. Well I’m back and enjoying it again. I tried to register my new account, but it won’t let me because it’s still tied up with my old account. Is there a way I can get my old account back?? An how do I link my new account to my email, because if something happens again and loose it all over again, I’m done. Please let me know!!!! They take your money quick but when there is glitch and you don't get your rewards there is no support.

Game is fun. If not a little confusing to find items and the like. But it's good for smashing other people and working together to take out the bosses.
Often Frustrating
Developers need to improve both the game experience & their support. Latest in-app purchase didn’t work and although they eventually recognised that they still didn’t either issue the purchase or refund the cost. Had to get the refund through Apple. Not good enough Gaea!
Support is terrible
I’ve played the game for many years. The number of bugs seems to increase on a regular basis. Including lost purchases, missing rewards, crashing. .... try getting any support at all. No chance. I still play but will not spend at all now. It took a month to get a refund via Apple!! At least they assisted. GAEA NO INTEREST !!

Think 2x before you play this game. Think 3x before you spend money on this game. I have played CA for over 10 years and during that time I have spent more than my fair share of money to say the least - until now. The developers have changed over the years and with each change the customer support has gotten much worse. Deca Games severely mismanaged their latest server maintenance, which had extremely detrimental effects for many of their customers. To add insult to injury, they refuse to accept full responsibility for their mismanagement and have failed to adequately compensate their customers after they short-changed them of several special event prizes during their error resolution process, despite receiving many requests for help from their customer base. Additionally, they have no clue how to resolve game glitches/crashes or how to run a battle game in a fair and equitable manner. Clearly, Deca Games only cares about how much money they can milk out of their customer base rather than providing a well-managed, fair and enjoyable game for all customers. Due to their dishonest nature, think 4x before spending any money in games managed by Deca Games.

Since changing from iphone 5 (ios 10.3) to iphone 8 plus, game displays only partially abd is unplayable on ny iphone. Disappointing. Loosing lots of coins due to missed battles.

Poorly supported...constant timeouts. Frequently skills acquired, like Confidence, Shout, fail to make it through updates, necessitating repurchase. Frequently the timeouts can mean being unable to make into guild battles...I've tried up to 50 times to enter a single battle unsuccessfully. Power up, or get out!
