Couldn’t open the App
As title, I can’t launch the App successfully with update to the latest version of App. Equipment: iPhone 11 Pro Max (iOS 16.1.1)
Trouble With App
I purchased windy and could not find it on iPhone. Working with an expert that uses windy daily and could not find it. Purchased again. This time it stated I have two purchases and should delete one. I did. Now I have nothing. Trying over and over to contact someone from Windy. No luck. Does anyone have a direct contact to Windy. I needed this app.

Had the app for 3 years now. No regrets. my favorite, Radar and satellite over lay. 24 hr time lapse. With the last updates , it is awesome. The extended forecast is 15 days. Great for planing. The team at windy is always updating with new improvements. It just keeps getting better. To the windy team…. Thank again!

I’m a user from China. This has been the best weather app I’ve ever used. Unfortunately, it’s no longer accessible in mainland China, which is really disappointing. I haven’t been able to find a decent alternative here, so I sincerely hope you can restore access for users in China.
Was a great all in one app
But recent updates have broken the UI the slider doesn’t work I can’t get certain maps to show. You guys didn’t fix much but you sure broke it on this last update “fix” yeah sure.

Doesn’t know where you are
Apparently this app does not know where you are when it starts. In fact, even when using the app there isn’t an easy way to immediately locate your position. In the settings, you set the app to use GPS, but this has no effect in the app when restarting or using it. To favorite a location you long press the location and a heart should show up per the instructions. This does not happen; Perhaps this is a paid feature. Although there is a “heart” to favorite a location in the hamburger menu, it doesn’t record the location and, there isn’t a list of favorites to select from later. Perhaps another paid feature. Not really useful as an application - but the particle movement entertains my cat.

之前移動到不同日期時間時，氣象圖會隨之變化，顯示該時段的預測氣象圖，現在氣象圖只會固定在當下，不知道是沒買高級版的原因嗎？買了高級版會有這個功能嗎？ Windy 用好久了一直覺得很棒，最近這個改變感覺退步了

Best weather app ever, by far! Living in eastern NC this app is mandatory for storm and hurricane tracking and planning. Also being an old surfer, I enjoy tracking the swell. The developers have a knack for being able to update the system without causing issues or breaking stuff! Love it!

Very helpful
This is a really helpful app and has some very detailed maps- my only suggestion/ request is can you please make the colours different for the winds? They're the same colour for 10-20 kmph and 80-100kmph. Its very possible for us to get both of those and it would help to know exactly what to expect from the day to be prepared- Thankyou for a great app.

I want to love this app, the info & features are excellent. Great plugins as well. However, the UI & navigation is still fickle. Slight tap will send you flying out of the section of the app you’re in. What’s with the new AI model? Is there detail about this somewhere? Why the constant pop up ad for another app? Why am I being asked to secure my account when it was already supposedly secured? Where did the lightning radius go? I really love windy, but it certainly has its issues. DEV reply- “AI model info is in Help/FAQ; happy to share more” ..this is simply untrue, there’s ZERO info there & do share more, thats what im asking for. Very elusive & questionable reply & language. Be upfront w your customers who pay for your service, wth?!? Also notifications are messed up now. Says storm in 15 mins as it’s been storming for 10 mins. Even generic weather apps do better than this. What is happening to this app?

“Windy”? No wind particle animation.
Used to be a great app, and they ruined it: you cannot see any wind animation particles unless you select the main “wind” map, otherwise no wind overlay, like on radar or satellite. These are pretty important misses.

The program is very good, but unfortunately, there is racial discrimination in it, and some countries cannot easily use this program, which is a social, recreational, agricultural, and everyday need, and they are forced to use VPNs, and this is very bad.

Wildly inaccurate now for SW Nova Scotia. Experiencing wind gusts today 60-70kph. Windy says 18
AI Slop
It’s a solid app but the most recent update defaults to their AI model, which now decides the most likely forecast. Today, they forecast 10 knot winds (actual is 16 - 20), which most other models predicted correctly. They don’t allow a default model (other than their own) but its accuracy is terrible. Bring back choice and don’t tell us you know best.

ちゃんと有料版でこのアプリを使っているが、iPhoneのXRで今日開いたらアプリが最初のヨットの写真で止まってしまい先へ進まなくなった。ついでにiPhoneもフリーズ状態になり強制再起動しました。昨日までは普通に使えてました。また使える様に修正願います。

I always open the app view the weather condition weather. Very helpful to be aware of condition in our region whether of fair weathering or if we need to hunker down. Gives us indication that preparation is needed in advance. I appreciate all the folks for keeping us safe.
What happened to Windy???
This used to be such a great app. Unfortunately at every turn Windy.com is trying to take more and more money from its subscribers. Not to mention the sale of subscribers emails to junk mail spammers. A new email to test this theory was made and sure enough I’m getting emails soliciting sex and also foreign wives. Not to mention the scammers. What happened to the good ol days of ads and user donations? I would gladly watch ads to have Windy back. 2026 edit. Still more of the same. The developers continue to find ways to Squeeze more money out of people. Free version now super limited and hardly reliable. Still shameful to say but it’s better than any Canadian weather source. I’m a long time user and would have supported this app monetarily but for sudden greed and disrespect to those who cannot afford a paid version. If you can find a cheaper alternative for your area I’d suggest supporting it. Unless you’re into extreme capitalism. Which destroys economies. Sorry windy but if something is taking anyone’s shirt off their back it should be the actual wind. Not you.
