The Art of Newspaper Continues Into the Digital Realm
It’s nice to be able to read a newspaper anywhere I want and I don’t have to look around the porch and bushes to see where it was delivered.
Thanks for your excellent paper!
This is a great paper. The writers do a wonderful job, and I enjoyed reading him every day!
Worst app on my phone
I don’t want “top stories” or “sections, I subscribe to read the (condensed) daily edition, front to back. Too frequently, it simply won’t open, or only the front page will open but is so pixilated it’s illegible. Unfortunately this is the only media outlet that covers local news, politics and government in any depth. The local reporters do a good job, but what good is that if you can’t count on being able to access their stories?? Gannett has ruined the C&P and obviously doesn’t care about its digital customers.
Great paper
I enjoy reading a daily newspaper. Glad we still have them. Keep up the good work.
App is slow
False starts Doesn’t open up Frustrating to use Not dependable
Missing a lot of local info
I really miss the TV schedules that was the printed edition The “records” information that was in the printed edition is another I miss. I enjoy the USA edition
The least impressive of all the Gannett apps!
So can we talk for a second about the definition of “breaking news”? I had it set up to ONLY NOTIFY ME FOR BREAKING NEWS. I don’t want you blowing up my notifications unless there’s a METEOR headed straight to my house. Yet you guys think it’s pertinent to give me a buzz every time a high school football player thinks about attending college. You want to ring me every single time there’s someone serving barbecue out of an IGA parking lot. You want to remind me that you have listicles of 10 fun things to do with the family this weekend. NO. NO NO NO NO. Here’s a perfect example, Vanderburgh county prosecutor spent 75k in taxpayer money to pay off a lady he sexually assaulted. THATS BREAKING NEWS. You didn’t notify me. You wrote an article but no notification. Unfortunately because you guys (A NEWSPAPER NONETHELESS) don’t seem to have any idea about what constitutes for BREAKING NEWS. SMH, this app is trash.

Local newspaper important
The app for me is very easy to use, I am pleased.
Terrible
Half the time it’s a blank screen for way longer than it should be.
Doesn’t work with iOS 14
Since I updated, it stays open for about 2 seconds and then closes. I hope it won’t be long until it’s fixed.
Where are obituaries?
Did you discontinue the obituaries this week? Gives an error each time you try to load them.
Evansville Courier review
The Evansville Courier is important to the greater Evansville community in its diverse reporting of government, business, sports, entertainment, etc. HOWEVER, THE DAY’S DELAY IN REPORTING COMPROMISES ITS POWER OF INFORMATION AND TURNS READERS AWAY.
Still need it
Love the ease of the eNewspaper. Lived in Evansville my whole life, still find I need it to keep on top of local happenings.
Waste of time
Terrible app. Don’t waste your time. You can get all of the news they want you to subscribe to for free from other outlets.
Clean, clear, works.
Read the title
C & P pamphlet
A mere shadow pamphlet of a once great hometown newspaper. Please spare us the Indy Star news.
Well done!
C&P is user friendly and the writers are the best in the business. Thank you for all you to! Splitty
Dislike this app
This new app format is annoying. Very difficult to navigate. The previous format that looks like the print edition was so much easier to read. Felt more like home. Bad enough to have to use a phone or iPad to read let alone messing up the format. I am not a fan at all.
Big improvement
Much cleaner look and easier to navigate. Little liberal but a good app.
Full Access
Do we not get full subscription access any more? I’m only seeing local news and sports.
Keep Our Evansville Paper
So many communities are without a local paper. They are being bought up or they are closing because of lack of circulation. I wish I could have a “ real” paper delivered everyday but even that is a job not enough people want. At least we still can read the Courier and Press on line. Without it we would only get our news on TV. People lose a sense of community when they no longer know what’s going on around them.
E-newspaper no longer iPad mini 4
The latest change doesn’t allow the e-newspaper to work on iPad mini 4. I know it is old and stuck on Ios 15.8. Please support it.
App is great buts needs some improvement
App is great I love the way you see the content on screen but. App is a little slow and takes some time to update feed or open a article.
Keeps crashing
I often have to go to desktop site instead of reading articles within the app due to app not opening. Seems pointless to have app
Too liberal
I confine myself to the sports page, some political reporting and absolutely no opinion pieces. Every once and a while, I read an opinion piece and it is liberal and contains few facts.
Not my newspaper
Bring back the old format that looks like the real newspaper. After seeing new format I won’t download it!
Go back please
Please go back to previous version. Obituarys split up now
NOT USER FRIENDLY
I have a digital subscription to the EVV C&P but the updated app will not allow me to sign into the e-newspaper. Deleted app and added it back. Didn’t work. Reset password. Didn’t work. Restarted phone. Didn’t work. Ridiculous that I’m paying $99.99/yr and can’t access my data!!! Not a happy camper
Love the hometown news
Like reading the articles that areBoth investigative and hometown oriented. Helps me keep up-to-date on what’s going on.
C&P app
So far I’m not impressed by this app. It’s cumbersome to sign in! I’m sick of media boxes with pictures of bicycles, crosswalks, etc!
Ok
Seems to be getting better.
