App and weather critique
First, I want to say that I am a big fan of 14 news and weather coverage. I have been watching since Marsha Yockey was on black and white television. I have feedback about what my 14 First Alert weather app shows me versus what I see on the TV broadcast, the difference between the radar on TV and the app, and not being able to comment on either of your apps! My radar was 15 minutes behind actual time and didn’t match what was on the live TV coverage.
Worst News App
News reels take TOO LONG to load, time waster
Ads
I would rate the site a zero if that option was available. And that rating is deserved primarily because the Ads are awful, offensively loud.
Current Status
The revised app only accomplishes one thing, additional revenue. Could you make it anymore user unfriendly? 14 News USED to be the local leader, but this is what happens when quicker profits champion excellence. I am certain the former and quite possibly some of the current personnel are disappointed at the direction of not ashamed. 14 is no longer any better than the rest. How long before you are in the same position as 44?

Streaming news
Leading station in Evansville. All their News and sports programs are available for free streaming live and archive. The other station in market does not stream their news.
Worst live for severe weather
When severe weather hits and you try to watch live it makes you watch advertisements first and every time you open it. Way to think about your wallets instead of lives!!!
Annoying videos
The app used to be great. Not any more. As soon as you tap it, the video starts playing. Or rather, an ad starts playing. Even after turning it off, it continues to play, by way of a pop-up.
Way too many alerts
This app sends way too many alerts despite opting for only specific alerts. I only want to know about severe weather/take shelter type warnings. Despite selecting what type of notifications I want to receive, it still notifies me about so many other things that are not of interest to me. I deleted the app for this reason.
New 14 News app
Great edition of this app. I’m so glad that there is finally a good streaming feature, such that I can just click on it and see the newscasts for the day. I can’t always arrange to see the news when it airs on TV. This is a GREAT feature.
14 WFIE NEWS
The new app. is so bad I am delete it. WEHT is much better.
Autoplay videos are not needed to read news
Should have a way to turn off autoplay videos
Ads
Too many ads.
HS Baseball
Terrible coverage
Update horrible!
The newest update on the app is not good. When you open a news story the video player automatically starts playing and it’s not the story you want. So far no story and video have matched. It’s very frustrating. Most of the time silencing the video isn’t an option.
Seemingly an Unfortunate Money Grab
With the new app update Gray’s boardroom has decided they will force you to watch an ad by locking your screen and not allowing you to scroll past. They don’t get to make that choice on my device. Neither 44 nor 25 are so greedy. I for one will not allow this. I have bailed on 14 News.
14 news
Why do just cover Kentucky and Evansville, poor coverage for calling yourself the tri-state
New format
I don’t like the new layout at all, way too many ads makes it pain to use.
Yikes
You need to have someone proofreading before publishing.
Tired of the automatic ads and reels playing
Tired of these automatic ads and reels playing when I open a news story to read. I just want to read the story, not get slowed down by this other stuff. Really persuades me to stop using the app.
Notification links don’t work properly
It’s awful! Clicking on a news notification takes me to a video that has nothing to do with the story notification. The app is riddled with too much junk & ads. Just the news please! Maybe take a look at the AP app or even Apple News outlines to better construct this app.
Where’s the St Louis Cardinals game?
Downloaded this app just to watch over the air StL ballgame. Can’t find it anywhere on this app. Boo.
Needs improvement
Please get rid of the advertising and make news stories in list form for easy viewing
Please fix this app
New update is terrible Can’t stop the video player from launching and it’s now overflowing with ads boo👎👎👎
Late
Your news is at best late and not well done Very local amateur
Sucks now
Blah
