Great personal assistant!!
Having more data points to put into your daily health diary only improves your ongoing knowledge of how your body is functioning. This is one of the positive contributions from AI. I can only imagine what future Ring models will provide!
Random calorie recording
Everything was fine before but since 2 weeks ago the calorie recording became random and unusable. There are times when I didn’t move; it would record hundreds of calories while noting that there is no distance moved
Bueno

Blood oxygen metrics inadequate
Oura’s documentation says that blood oxygen is measured “continuously” during sleep. If that is the case, why can’t Oura provide statistics such as “percent of time below 90% blood oxygen saturation”, “percent of time below 85%”, etc.? Or instead of percent of time, maybe cumulative seconds or minutes at those levels during sleep. This would be far more useful than the graphics that are currently the norm for Oura.
Location tracking off
I love my ring, have had it for a year and the only complaint I have is that the app does not continuously track where my ring is at during the day. I’ve lost it a couple times and when I check the app to see its location it will tell me the location from hours ago despite me having the ring on the whole day(bedsides when it got lost) considering how much the ring cost you’d think the tracking would be more accurate
Unbelievable
I was diagnosed with heart failure almost 2 years ago. My wife bought my Oura ring to help track my health and it’s unbelievable how accurate the data has helped me. I highly recommen an Oura ring!
My Oura ring is dying super fast and they refused to replace it
I have the warranty but they refuse to honor it. The Oura customer service is literally just a robot that tells you your ring is charging fine despite it dying every day. It’s advertised as something that lasts 4 days yet can’t last a single day
Great Product
Great product, has really allowed me to track confirm and plan a lifestyle that helps me meet my goals. I only have one. Wish and that is the the homepage with result summaries, had the ability to provide more real time information, or easier to locate maybe a better way of putting it. I’m a person that likes to see where I’m at while performing my activities.
Battery doesn’t last a week.
I got my ring end of spring and for the first couple of months it definitely lasted a full week in a full charge. But recently like u fully charged it lat Thursday and in Saturday the ring showed only 35%. That by EOD on Sunday it will have less than 10%. At the moment I am looking into what to do to contact support and what resolution they will offer.
Sleep rating
Comparing reading with other reading it appears any hour
Life changed
This is a game changer . If this ring can add 10 years to my life or even 5 it’s a steal . I have a buddy who works at best buy and he stated “ no one ever returns this ring “ . I’ve always been skeptical but going from 286 to 229 I am a fan and will never ever try anything but a oura product …
Waste of money don’t work
Trash
Ultimately Good
The only problem I’ve had is it’s not accurately reading my steps. I put my Fitbit back on and it’s about 1000 steps off. They said it’s a problem with the iOS app.
Gets stuck in terminal load mode for updates.
I love the ring and the app but getting the damn thing to update from the App Store is a pita! Every single time I’ve had to update it goes into spin mode on the screen and it sometimes updates and other times it just stops updating and tells me an update is available… damned annoying.
Extra fees
Don’t love that you have to pay a subscription. Feels like paying twice for the device
My OURA
This has really changed my life in the ways it supports my good habits and helps me track what I can improve.
Rigid Onboarding Data Lock - AMATEUR UX DESIGN
I can’t fathom with a $500 product wouldn’t allow the ability to correct the information inputted during onboarding. If someone makes a mistake, it’s just locked ? This disproportionately affects women and cycle tracking. This is basic UX design - all the cycle tracking apps allow for editing for historical data to provide an accurate view. Fix it and then maybe women would have a better experience on this app.
Love the data
I really love the data that the ring provides. I’m a huge data nerd so I love having charts and graphs and that it’s exportable. However, the ring doesn’t count for biphasic sleep. So my sleep score isn’t actually accurate because if the “ nap” is greater than four hours. It doesn’t count it toward your sleep score. Other than that, I’m loving what it provides. I also wish there was more details on why somebody is in a critical zone but that wouldn’t really matter if it’s not counting for sleep.
Requires credit card to use👎🏻
You have to give them your credit card info to even use the app??? I hate that so much🤬
Biometrics is not great
I have had numerous situations where my sleep tracking and HR has been very off. The ring saying I was asleep when I was very much awake. The HR monitoring being very off. Feeling my pulse and looking at my Apple Watch for a HR of 170 and the ring says my HR is 135. I just haven’t been impressed for the price you pay.
Excellent
Excellent product and product support. I love my Oura ring and the data it provides.
Signing up sucks
Sad
Good but...
Can you add Russian language? Please!
GPS location tracking is back
I ran 3 miles and it said I ran 1.4 miles. It is extremely off which pokes wholes in all its data for me.
It’s okay
Like a lot of people, I got this ring thinking it would help me out. I soon found out I didn’t wear it much after buying it. First of all, the battery didn’t last long. I also quickly learned that this thing stresses me out a lot. I felt “judged” lol. I read this was a common problem with this ring. There is a feature where you can take a break but that’s supposed to be for events like after surgery. I want to still know all my information but without feeling judged. I also wanted to check my heart rate often but had trouble finding where to look. There are so many bells and whistles on this thing yet, I just don’t find the information to be helpful to me. As far as young women go, this will track your menstrual cycle etc. but for us perimenopausal women it doesn’t really seem to have much to offer. Maybe I’ll try again and get used to it. But for now it’s more of a headache
Highly recommend!!!
This is my second Oura ring. I am an RN in the ED and this ring helps me manage stress and monitor sleep during the most difficult of days!!! Highly recommend!!!!
Freezes
App freezes up
Love it … 2 suggestions I would love (Selfish)
I do really love how the ring is developing a good knowledge of me and so comfortable.. I’m slowly realising this is for health not necessarily weight loss focused which I do like. Could we have a tab to log fluids though.. as a shift worker when I’m nights I often forget to drink and it would be good to be able too. Leading into next request actually … according to Office of National statistics 20-25% of the Genpop are shift workers and even though it asks you on set up there is no way to log night work (or have I missed something) but I think it could be such good info to link nights to circadian rhythms and things like liver function and analysis of post nights sleep and activity behaviour - love all shift workers but do it for the nurses 🙏🏽
Ring great. Ai slop, less so
I like the ring and feel it gives good insights but the ai slop bolt on for the advisor is garbage. It pings non-issues multiple times at once and then loses track. Very much a “give us investment money because we do AI”
Dies quickly
Battery dies fast. Only had this 2 months.
Oura did help with my sleep
In the past 1.5 years I uploaded the reports every morning. These reports help me to understand my sleep patterns and gave me information on how to improve the situation.
I don’t know
The accuracy seems off to me. Everytime it says I’m stressed I’m Not and when I am stressed it’s now showing … plus it keeps saying I’m Dancing rather than other things. Just doesn’t seem accurate. Plus my first one just stopped working now i am on my second one.
It’s not letting me update app
It keeps prompting me to update the app and I have been trying to update the app for the last 5 days and it just won’t update. Why is that happening?
Good function, broken app
App consistently crashes and often will not open at all- taking 5 or 6 attempts to open without a crash. Makes product extremely frustrating and nearly unusable
Languages
It is marketed as being translated into other languages, but 100% of the features are available only in English; usage in other languages doesn't even reach 30%.
Good updates
Thanks for fixing the tag entry portion of the app with this update
Absolutely atrocious connectivity for the 4 after the 5 came out.
Your app sucks for previous rings. I work out every single day, I have utilized everything this app offered, and what do I get out of it? I get an outdated Oura ring 4 once the 5 came out that barely syncs and no longer even records my sleep data. I literally work out for 2.5-3 hours a day and for an app to charge money on top of a 400 ring, I expect it to perform even for past models. It’s an epic fail, shame on you. I’d give you 0 stars if I could.
Step Count Issue
There is an ongoing known issue with the step count that Ours are yet to fix. The count will freeze at a point throughout the day, sometimes unfreezing, sometimes not. Disappointing that for an app which requires a monthly subscription, this issue has not yet been addressed when step count is such a key feature.
Cool at first, but then went down hill…
I’ve had my Oura Ring for over a year now. Everything was easy and seamless up to a couple of weeks ago. For some reason it had been become so much more difficult to use. It keeps losing connection overnight. I thought it was maybe having private relay, VPN’s, low power mode, which were all active prior to the last couple week up until now. Even with all of those things off, it’s still disconnecting while I sleep. Coincidence that this is starting after Oura Ring 5 was released? Maybe, but it’s hard to believe in that being a coincidence. It just sucks that this starts within the 60 days that I actually start to use the app more seriously and after I had already recommended Oura to someone else that was interested.
Great concept but poor integration
Love the look and simplicity of the Oura ring 5. Great battery life, easily a week. However, it’s not intuitively connected with Apple Health ie you set up its integration upon set up but you have to confirm each activity within the Oura app otherwise the data isn’t recorded. Hope this situation improves
Great
I really enjoy Oura, great tool, key to improve and to learn about my sleep and general well being as well as contrast my routine activities with my metrics
Oura Ring is awful for night shift workers
I can’t even use my ring for its main purpose, to track my sleep. It used to be available the same day. The score would be slightly lower but it would still at least work. With this last update they did though my sleep doesn’t update until almost 2 days later. Everything is inaccurate now and I have no purpose for the ring
Good app except for…
… the way the app handles Tags is so irritatingly confusing and counterintuitive. It’s especially frustrating when you need to edit a recurring tag. Are the developers going to improve this?!
Updates
Why does it always glitch on every update? It’s the only app I use that does that every single time
Great but needs work.
I really like the concept of Oura and there are definitely things it does well. I love the insights it provides around sleep, recovery, and overall wellbeing. The app interface is also a big positive it’s clean, easy to use, and simple to understand, which makes tracking my health feel effortless. That said, I do think there are areas that need improvement. It doesn’t track any of my naps, which is disappointing as they are a big part of my sleep as a new mum. Most of my walks are with my baby in the pram, and the ring doesn’t detect them at all. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to get fit after having a baby and want to see your progress reflected in the app, but those activities aren’t being recognised. I was also disappointed with the quality of the gold Oura Ring 4. Mine started to tarnish within six months, which I don’t feel is acceptable given the price. For a premium product, I expected better durability and for the ring to maintain its finish for much longer. Overall, I love the idea behind Oura and the insights it provides, but for the price point, I feel the activity tracking and ring quality need to improve to make it feel like a worthwhile investment.
Most comprehensive health monitor
I like Oura ring and I just love its app. It provides such an intuitive experience about health readings and insights. I find it’s so amazing how app provides so much inbdepath health insights
Oura Ring 4 excessive problems
My wife, myself and a friend all got the Oura ring 4 and all of us needed to exchange our rings due to problems with the battery life. My wife is now on her third ring, I had to exchange mine once and a friend had to exchange his once as well. Each time aura had responded by saying there is a hardware issue specific to the ring and then resent a new ring which is very kind of them however, ultimately I wish I had asked for a refund within the warranty period because clearly the hardware is faulty overall and not specifically my ring. 5 of the 7 rings that I am personally aware of have had “hardware issues.” Replacing one faulty ring with another is bad business. Oura made no effort to exchange the ring with a better version or offering to refund my money. They simply kept replacing it with equally poor hardware. I gave up trying after my second ring started to malfunction, and the Oura rings AI tests indicated it was within their permissible guidelines. However, none of their products have lasted a year without having noticeable changes to the rings performance. I highly discourage anyone from buying this product as it is faulty.
Been using oura for 3 months
Like using the oura ring and app. Find it interesting the information it provides. I would like to know if oura is going to add more nutritional information from logging the food in meal adding.
I expected more from the price tag
The ring does not differ from any of the cheap wrist watches in fact it is terrible in counting and calculating activity and steps. Apart from the aesthetics I would not buy it again. Disappointing
Sleep tracker needs improvement
It’s great but it will tell me I’ve gone to bed at 5.30pm when I’m sitting watching tv. If I’m on the phone it thinks I’ve gone for a nap. Having to manually adjust every day. Naps need to be adjustable too because it will say I’ve had a 3 hour nap when it’s actually 40 mins, so have to delete nap altogether. It will confirm a nap then later it’ll add 3 more hours to nap. Also needs to be an option for “n/a”when answering menopause questions because not every person is in a relationship. So had to invent answers to complete.
