Adding Steps Isn’t Innovation
Taking a picture is easy. It’s pretty intuitive. But KPCU doesn’t trust its users to be smart enough to do that, so to cash a check, you need to wait for an AI to fail to take a picture on your behalf before it will even allow you to just use a normal shutter button. The fix is so annoyingly simple. Just do it the old way. Give us back a shutter button so we can take a picture of the check. KPCU is overcomplicating it, wasting customers’ time and battery in the process. This doesn’t serve customers at all. It’s not innovation. It’s arrogance and ego of developers. Sometimes simple is enough. I will continue updating this negative review until we get manual check photos by default. It’s so easy to implement and so stupid not to.
Slow Improvement
The app is better but it still has to reference the ye olde statement website and data. Its the web version of lip filler and stretching skin to make it look “younger”.
Refused to deposit a US Treasury check?
Tried to deposit my tax refund check using the app. Check made out to both of us, same as bank account, but rejected by the app. Really?????
Latest update not so great
The latest update to this app has made all the fonts so gigantic that I can’t see everything and I have to scroll on every page and it’s not adjustable. This is the second time in the last five or six years. They have updated this app by making everything worse.

Terrible App and Even Worse Customer Service: Avoid Keypoint Credit Union!
I tried transferring money from my Keypoint account to another bank through their app, and it was a total disaster. The transfers failed because of some problem on their side, but I didn’t even know until one of their reps called me out of the blue with this super cold attitude. All they said was, “Hey, your transaction didn’t go through, just try it again.” When I asked what happened, they brushed me off like, “We don’t know, but here’s a number for the back office if you want to dig into it.” Come on, that’s ridiculous! Why do I, as the customer, have to call some other department to figure out their mess? The rep couldn’t be bothered to check anything basic, and it left me totally annoyed and clueless. Worst part is, the app didn’t send any notifications or warnings about the failure. I only found out from that random phone call. What if I was paying bills or making a big purchase? These things could just flop without a heads up, and that’s scary. Keypoint’s app is glitchy, their customer service doesn’t care, and the whole thing feels sloppy. Save yourself the headache and go with a different bank. I’ve already jumped ship. If I could give zero stars, I would!
Please return the amount range search option
The latest app remakeover took away the feature where you could search transactions by a range of values (eg $1000-$1100 deposits). I used the transaction value search range feature a lot before it was discontinued. Please reinstate it in the next version of the app, ok?
Bungled update
Testing on IOS should have revealed the challenges in updating one’s password in the iCloud keychain. The new app design makes it impossible to generate a new strong password and have it remembered in the keychain. I must now figure out a way recover my password and then save it in the keychain. Not what I wanted to do today when I just needed to check my balance. Please test this minutiae before you launch and identify these problems. You’re a banking app and this stuff is important.
Crashes in iOS 17.03
Used to be a good app . But It constantly crashes in iOS version 17.03.

Thanks for adding TouchID support! About time. The setting to update mailing address fail and the red error box has no text in it. Fail there. Overall I like the simplicity and the speed of this rewrite of the UI
HATE this update
As of 9/24/24 i HATEEEE this update and how much junk is on my home page now. I hate that i can’t see a running tally of my finances as things are debited from my account. Just a final balance of what i have available. UGH please change it back
Buggy and inconsistent ui
Won’t let me log in because it’s throwing an error. Previously threw same week intermittently on bill pay. Three weeks with problem but no update. Also the UI for dollar entry is different depending on where you are in the app. Sometimes the decimal is assumed and sometimes not. Bill pay and deposits, for example, treat dollar entry differently. For a tech CU I definitely expect better.
The app is getting more and more terrible.
The app crashes when you click on the balance. In the past and on the web, transactions are shown. In the app, it crashes the app. When setting up an internal account transfer and want to schedule it later, you cannot because it does not show a date that you can modify. 4.8 rating is a fraud. This app deserves a 0.0 rating. How long does it take to fix the app?
Cannot Paste Zelle Contacts
The app will not let you paste contact information when sending money using Zelle. I guess KeyPoint thinks they're somehow increasing their app's security by forcing their customers to type contact information by hand, risking mistyping a phone number or email address and then sending money to the wrong person. However small that risk may be, this is ridiculous. Just let your customers copy and paste from a known good contact into the app. You're not helping!
New update is very slow.

Throwing exception Cloudflare software security error partially because of prevention of app to track one’s activities in other apps! Never seen such malicious code….

App is getting worse over time
Keypoint itself is fine credit union. But it is painful having to use their app over the years I bank with them. It use to be a fine app too, felt like an actual mobile app with a nice gui meant for mobile. Stable and easy to do your expected transactions on it. But every overhaul update, it gets more unstable and the interface cruder and uglier by the year. It looks like a web browser than an app, crashes or fails to upload regularly, and can't support more than 2 biometric log in devices (why is that a thing?). Nearly every other CU I bank with have real, better apps that get better with each update. But KPCU gets worse. If they roll the app back 4 years, it be great. Now, its a chore and a bad one at that to use.

The app keeps crashing
The app asks me to choose my phone number to authenticate my identity and as soon as I get the text message, the app crashes.

I’ve been using this app for several years now they continually provide updates which truly do help their customers, bank, online safer, faster, and easier.
Does not even allow to login
The app used to be good but lately it does not even allow logon. After entering username and password, It prompts to send the code to phone and then immediately crashes so at this point it is useless for me.
Easier than ever to use
I especially like how easy it is to see balances and to transfer funds. Zelle is so easy to use. Thank you.
App does not orient to landscape mode…
In this day and age when almost all apps display in both portrait and landscape mode, it’s ridiculous that this app will only display in portrait mode which makes it basically unusable on my iPad…
