Love my credit union
I’ve been with USE and now BluPeak for over 50 years. The service and the benefits have always been great. I have five different accounts with them.
App has several issues
Still can’t use Bill pay even after service tickets submitted;
Missing USE still
BluPeak app isn't friendly. Most times check photos are not available. Bill pay is cumbersome
Bank issues
This is the second time the bank has issues and I can’t withdraw my money from the atm. The only way to get money out is by going to the bank and withdrawing it there. I hope this doesn’t keep on happening because I will be forced to change to another bank.
On again: Off again
Oh joy, each month, I must use my online banking app to transact several Zelle payments and receive confirmastiono of Zelle deposits into my checking account. Too often the app will not accept a correct password. I am forced into Fprgot Password. Then I am told my new passwords are invalid, which means a call to the main office. They then say that I must use an underscore for some unknown reason. Meanwhile, I have wasted a lot of my valuable time due to a poor IT system at BluPeak, an otherwise friendly, pleasant alternative from the horrid NuVision Credit Union where they do not even answer your calls to the main number most of the time.
Widget option?
Question for the developers prior to any of the 8.0 updates they used to be an option to have your bank balance as a widget. Is that by chance coming back anytime soon?
Incorrect balances PLEASE FIX!!
This App cannot make accurate financial calculations. How can I trust an institution with my money that doesn’t know math? The App no longer calculates available balance by deducting pending transactions. This app has gone backwards since BluePeak bought USE Credit Union. Back then even though it was just an old fashioned credit union, they still knew how to do math. Now that it’s shiny new BluePeak, the “Available Balance” is always the same as the “Current Balance”. So pending transactions like interbank transfers and ACH transactions that take days to settle aren’t deducted from “Available Balance” even though they are showing as pending right there in the app. So you have to manually figure out how much money you really have available to spend. Such a big step backward for a financial institution. Maybe they have to spend their money on rebranding instead of hiring app developers who can program basic calculations into the app. Or maybe someone just accidentally deleted that bit of code and no-one at BluePeak has noticed. Sad.
BluPeak app ok in the US - almost useless with VPN abroad.....
The app is ok in the continental US and all functionality like Zelle and bill pay seem to work. I could not get transfers to work to pay my Card. It is almost totally useless abroad when using a VPN. I'm at a five star hotel in Tenerife where the internet is good, however using a VPN (Hot Spot and Tunnel Bear) to the US and the app is useless. I use a VPN on public WiFi for obvious reasons and it's beyond comprehension that a banking institution cannot provide a secure and reliable means to bank while abroad. My friends on Santander and LLoyds have no problem.
Handy for check deposits
Once they worked it out, the deposits have worked. On all my iPhones, I’ve had to take the pictures with the top of the check out of frame in order to get all edges in the pic which is required for deposit. You line up the pic perfectly and when you take it, the pic is shifted. Retake after retake. Pretty embarrassing app. Account access and transfers are easy though, so 2 stars for that.
Stop making me look at my check twice
I’d give I 5 stars, except for the fact that the app forces you to look at the picture of your check twice to verify that it’s correct. It’s an unnecessary waste of my time. The check picture is right.
Helpful
As someone who constantly works and invests my money regularly and responsibly, Blu Peak is as helpful as a regular piggy bank, except kept securely. Transfers are also easy to understand and doesn’t take long when transferring money to another fellow member.
Unresponsive, Doesn’t work with Plaid
Doesn’t work with Plaid “Use your location” Unresponsive, loses documents “Use your location” Scams and phone spoofing External transfers are broken for weeks. Support team does not care about this at all.

Why doesn’t the app show up in iPhone global searches?
New update to app
I love the online banking app but I am not too happy with the new update with the transactions. I liked how it was before when you would see how each date had it’s own headline and then the transactions for that day. And also how the pending transactions always were at the top of the page too so you knew where to look. The new update is just so boring and confusing especially when looking for a specific date. Other than that I love USE Credit Union lol

I wish I could see my account and routing number online. Also, some more design and graphics would be very nice!

Confusing
Your account balance never feels accurate. It’ll say one number, you won’t spend anything and then the number changes. Really hard to gauge finances when the numbers don’t feel reliable. Wouldn’t recommend banking here.
Used to be great but now doesn't work
When I try to login it just has me waiting endlessly...please fix!
Current version is buggy
The app is great in general. But the current version is buggy. It often fails to load. The badge always shows a new notification which is just a message to change your settings. The notice goes away when you read it, but soon pops up again. As I like to zero out my notifications this has me contemplating uninstalling until this is fixed.

For at least two months, once logged into the app no account info is shown. Says 'this information is temporarily unavailable' please fix.
App crashes
I am unable to get my messages. Every time I select it, the app crashes.
BluPeak review
I love the service given at BluPeak. The representatives were ALWAYS helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that the Chula Vista branch is now closed and other branches not as accessible to me (which is why I chose this credit union initially). Still I believe they deserve 5 stars!!!
Mobile banking reset issues
They reset their online banking and this wiped all linked accounts. I went to call to fix the problem, and the wait time was 90 minutes. I tried the chat function and they said try calling. I will be removing my money from this CU
Awesome App
Makes banking easy especially when traveling. Love being able to deposit checks from home.
Zelle issues
I’ve been a member with BluPeak for 20+ years back when they were USE CU. I’m having so many issues with Zelle through their app and website. I’ve tried to get it fixed for the last 3+ months and no dice. I hate writing reviews like this but I’ve had it and most likely leaving this CU cause of that.
Losing stars
Previously I gave it 5 stars, now 1 due to the external account feature and quick balance disappearing from my iPhone. Please fix these issues.
Update ruined locations map
When you’re out and about and need to find an ATM, the 3D map is terrible. The old version was much easier to use.

Latest update completely ruined the app
App used to be decent when it was USECU but ever since Blupeak took over it’s been going steadily downhill. First they broke Face ID, and now they’ve completely redone the UI with an absolutely ridiculous combination of webviews. It’s like stepping into a Time Machine to 15 years ago. It’s not only unusable, but completely useless. You can’t even make transfers in the app anymore! This is enough to make me close my account.
Love the credit building potential with USE credit union!
I’ve built my credit with the easy to set up secured credit cards they offer and the secured loans. Love that all my bank account can be under one online profile with Use credit union. That’s right I can link my union bank, chase , Wells Fargo accounts to this credit union and it makes my financial landscape so much more available at a glance :)
Bad app
Tried numerous times to sign in via the app using the same credentials I always use to no avail. Not sure what the issue is.
