What people like
- Great for sharing with doctors
- Shows clear long-term trends
- Easy to see daily goals
- Helpful graphs for averages
What they complain about
- Keeps logging you out constantly
- Support calls never solve problems
- Reports are slow and clunky
- App fails to show new data
Love the app to get historical data
Use it to pull my Stelo reader data. It provides a clearer picture of my glucose.
DON’T TRUST THIS PRODUCT
Go with the Abbott competitor over this. The sensors are highly prone to failure and product support is very poor.
Unsure
I’ve used this app since being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2021 but it hasn’t updated or recorded my levels since last year (2025) I’m not sure why
Failing to update
Had the app for years and now I got temporarily signed out now all I can see is a reading from 3 years ago and nothing will update
Useful, but…
This would not be difficult to add to the Follow app, so that you don’t have to open separate apps to see all the information you might want to access. As a parent of a T1D, initially he used Libre and all the information was available in one app. This would be much appreciated. T1D is hard enough, the apps and support should be made as stress free to use as possible.
4 days without data
Hi. Is anything happening with the app? 4 days that the app is showing Not Enough Data Available.
Broken app
The hourly reports will generate only the first Report and continue to show the same details until you uninstall and reinstall the app. After that it will create the next permanent hourly report.
Good App BUT
Where is your data going?
Dexcom has been Horrible
This app is a total disgrace! After spending $500/month for these horrible sensors, the performance of this app is very poor. It will beep loud and you can only turn off alerts for a certain period of time. Lack of features. A children’s game have more reliability and rich in features then this app. The sensors randomly fail on iPhone. Good luck getting the sensor to link with Apple Watch. CVS will no replace the defective sensors and the Dexcom support gives you a very hard time to replace the defective sensors. Did I mention that the app is horrible? Over two years using this product and highly unsatisfied. I’ve seen next to no improvements in these two years, used it on iPhone 14, 15, 16, and 17 Pro Max. Ridiculous app, shame on these developers. Something is definitely wrong with the executives who lead these developers. ZERO VISION! ZERO LEADERSHIP! I DO NOT recommend DEXCOM. I wish a better company replaces their marketshare.
Mixed Doses????
ok you have the fast dose and the long dose where is the MIXED doses if i see it on there why not add it on there???
Thankful
Everyone who invented worked hard created produced and affordably marketed deservs appreciation and. a thankful heart
Not functional.
This app is unstable. While the Dexcom G6 is working, and all permissions on my iPhone 16 are on, and the data is being send and recorded. Clarity cannot provide any reports, even though it once could. A waste of electrons.
sensor cover
Additional cover patches should be included as the the cover included doesn’t always stick well.
Something wrong with clarity
Clarity used to record all my blood sugars normally, now it’s sending me back to the log in part and no matter how many times I sign in, it either send me straight back to the login part or says 504 error. My internet is fine, I’ve tried shutting off and turning on my phone, and removing and reinstalling the app but it keeps happening. I have an appointment in three days and my doctors not going to be able to see the results. What’s going on?
Dates are not Flexible
The data provided is great. It would be nice if on the daily report you got the average glucose for each day and long with the events. But my biggest gripe is you can’t go back in time. You should be able to pick a date and then get a report based on that date. I would like to be able to go back in time and run a weekly report for each week. It seems crummy to have to remember to run the report each week and save it so I can go back and look at my progress. For what you pay for the device you shouldn’t have pay for a separate app to get this kind of flexibility.
Keeps me HONEST
Seeing my numbers reminds me how good or bad I’m doing!!
Will make you feel terrible about yourself
The “tImE iN rAnGe” has never been so off don’t listen to it
Can’t use offline
This app is the best for relaying results to my doctor, but there’s no internet in the office so it’s useless because you have to be online for authentication. I had to use the apple health app to show my doctor my numbers and charts.
Alerts do not work
I get an error to connect to the internet but I am. I tried removing and reinstalling and it does not fix the alerts issues. The Stelo app alerts also do not work. And this has no widgets or other useful integrations with the OS.
Multiple accounts
I really liked tracking and seeing the reports and feedback, but when a second child was diagnosed I found it it is NOT easy to switch between accounts. I have to log off and then log back in with the same account just to switch to a different child. make this easier please.
Goals
I like the way the app provides me a way to follow how I can reach my goals of staying in range.
Constant login Issues - Very Disappointed
Very disappointed with the Clarity app. It constantly logs me out, and when I try to log back in it says my ID or password isn’t recognized—even though nothing has changed. It’s extremely annoying to keep resetting or changing my login just to access the app. This really needs to be fixed.
Great app, except for sharing data
The clarity app is very well thought through and does almost everything one would expect it to do, and then some. Its reports are very thorough, customizable, and easy to share with doctors without you having to send the doctors periodic reports– the doctor will give you a code to put in the system, and then they can access data whenever they would like. My only complaint is that while this app can share its data with Apple health, it does not have a two way share with SNAQ, which is a very popular app for diabetics for tracking insulin, food, and exercise. It does share the insulin data, but not other data. A two way share with this popular app would make both apps stronger as well as enable doctors to have a better way to see all data. While Dexcom enables one to input foods, it is not as easy to do as with SNAQ, so until this happens, we need the two way Interface. I hope that Dexcom will consider doing this in a future enhancement.
Not Good
The info is great, but the app itself is subpar. Every single time I want to log in to pull data I have to reset my password. It has potential, but right now it’s garbage.
Not all data shows up
I have been using the clarity app for 3.5 years. The problem I have is that when accessing data for the past 90 days it only shows 60 percent of the days. That makes it hard to know what my true numbers are. Is this a known error or am I doing something wrong?
Dexcom Clarity
I love the graphics are used to show blood averages. The complete program. Thanks you.
F off and stop
I don’t care for the forcing of my having a lock on my iPhone in order to turn my alarm into a vibration. As I don’t lock my phone jerks. MY PHONE MY RULES so I can’t control that I just shut the app if it keeps bugging me I then just delete the app so F off again my phone my choice you don’t get to decide if or when or how I lock my phone
Great but needs more data
Even though I’m sharing work out data, none of it appears as an indicator on the reports. The app I use is Gentler Streak and the health app shows that its data is being shared with Clarity. Tried unsharing and resharing.. nothing. The rest of the app and reports are great.
Sensors stop working and error on a couple and I can't find the way to report and get a return
I've already lost 2 sensors G7 just today, one last one day, and the other doesn't even start connecting.
Alerts going back to defaults
App was working great until about a week ago, now the alerts I have set for low and high blood sugars keep changing back to default settings. Have spoken to Dexcom and they had no record of this so have made a note. My sister is using this app too and is having the same issue.
I love this app!
Clarity allows me to set my personal blood sugar goals and monitor how I’m doing. I love the morning notification that I met my previous day’s goal. It’s so easy to use.
Maddening app
Endured a 3 HOUR support call to try and figure out why the device won’t pair and why my wife and I can’t get on to see our daughters numbers and had to hang up with no solution. The person on the phone, of course, is not American so she barely understands what I’m even saying. Worst experience with a product maybe ever.
Not updated
This app has not been updated to mesh well with iOS 18.5
Not user friendly
Please improve. I downloaded the app 10 minutes ago and have already given up using it. You have to “generate a report” ??? And if you ever so slightly touch the screen the wrong way, the report collapses and you have to re-generate the same report. The reports themselves are just pdf’s? No interactive piece at all. Very difficult to gain any insights. Please we are begging you to improve the tech ecosystem around your products.
iPad version
It’s very surprising that the application does not support an iPad landscape mode. it would be great to see all the date in the iPad landscape mode.
Eye Opener
I should have done this years ago. I’ve gotten some real insight into my diabetes & I’m making decisions in real time about my care. It’s been a real eye opener. Plus, everything I need to know is right there & very easy to decipher.
Annoying
The app constantly logs me out and then tells me my information is wrong when I try to log back in. I’m not using it anymore until that is fixed!
Data entry
When I enter the amount of insulin I have to go to HOME before I can enter the dosage of the second kind of insulin or the carbs. Also there is no way I can enter additional information. For example I enter HEALTH:ALCOHOL for Ozempic but I can’t enter the dosage.
Poor user experience
In order to see the data, you have to load one or more reports. This is a slow process. Frankly, I should be able to see high level trends in the Dexcom sensor app, rather than have to navigate to another app, load a bunch of reports, decide my dosage and navigate BACK to the other Dexcom app to enter my insulin amount. Dexcom needs to integrate some of the Clarity functionality with the sensor app, then trash Clarity altogether. Horrible UX design and CX.
Disheartening
The day to day recording is okay, but I find it frustrating that an above goal reading at midnight is 10% lower by morning. This means that a high overnight affects the previous day’s performance as well as the current one. Why can’t the readings be finalised at midnight every day? This drop overnight can be the difference between exceeding or failing to achieve his daily goals and is very disheartening when it’s the lattter. Trying to encourage a teenager to manage his bloods is hard enough without the system you’re using making it harder. The app won’t show any data for the current day until at least early evening anyway so it obviously cuts off at some point, why not at the end of the day, I.e. midnight?
Benefits of Dexcom clarity data summaries
Provide a summary of daily weekly information on one page for comparing information that before I could only obtain over a 24 hour, or by taking pictures of each day and saving them. VAGP allows me to. Trend and swings from day today over a multi day. It helps by providing a record of where your blood sugars have trended or varied over a long period of time. This is very helpful in being able to analyze trends or things that mask, trends and lead to bad control. It takes a lot of work out of how I used to have to do this. It is easy to use and provide some analytical tools to help even further.. Thank you.
Non functional
Worthless.
Still doesn’t work in Canada
It says unrecognized username/ password; works well on the browser
Settings...
App looks good beside the fact it thinks the year is 2029 and since there is no date and time setting WITHIN the app, there is no way to change it. The app isn’t really at fault here though, it’s the fact that Dexcom Clarity on the web also defaults to it and I can’t change it on either platforms. Great job Dexcom, can’t wait for you to overlook this flaw and make the thousands we spend on your decent equipment go to waste :)
Reports generated in different language
The information that you can get using this app is super helpful, but when I tried generating the reports, they were all in a different language than English. I cannot figure out any way to fix this.
Great app!
I use this with the G7 and it’s been a great addition to my other Dexcom app. My best friend is a nurse and I can send her reports which has been a BIG help! Thanks Dexcom!
Patient
Does not share data with my doctors and doesn’t show data’s since June 2025 it’s ridiculous
Easier Login?
App and functionality is great but any chance of having a touch/fingerprint login or the app auto remembers username?
Frustrating
App is very helpful for diabetes management WHEN IT WORKS!! I’ve had this app for months now and I have yet to be able to successfully login in on the first attempt!! Dexcom, why is this such an ongoing issue??
Problem with new update
Since the new update, I get each time I open the app a warning that I got network problems and I’m not sure if it’s real.
