New update
The new update is so much better. I’m able to access all 4 business from the same app easily instead of having To sign in on safari
Visibility
Bar/Restaurant industry and we can't see open tabs in the app. This is very shortsighted as we need to understand closed, current and open trends in real time. Every other POS solution we came from and reviewed offers this. Glad to finally have pre-auth, but still missing the mark.
Needs a Push notification
I just added square to my payment processors on my app, I want to know when I make a sale like how stripe notifies you on the push notification, otherwise so far im enjoying the app

I would like to see sales by hour not on a graph.
Kind of misleading and annoying
Why would anyone care about “gross sales” when that’s not how much money you actually made? It only reports “gross sales” which means all the discounts we do aren’t taken into account. We also add and remove locations often and each time I have to delete and re-download the app to get the new location to appear.
Great
This app is great to view your reports instantly no doubt, but can you pls add a clickable button to see what refunds were processed because I get anxious about it because it’s money. Other than that, would recommended this app
Utility vastly diminished
The updated app no longer conveniently shows top 5 item sales on the main page, no longer has a scrolling calendar for dates across months, and is overall poorly organized. It was so well designed before: intuitive and streamlined. Now it’s clunky, counter intuitive, and literally does less. Why? My guess is to funnel people i to their awful ai summaries.
Please allow change to week start
Like the app, works well across all devices but really needs ability to change start of week. I have to custom repost everytime to match my week Monday to Sunday. Also apple watch integration would be perfect to quickly access data. Otherwise works as intended
Only good for short-term reviews
It used to be more user friendly and functional. Cannot select dates easily, difficult to customize reports.
square tap to pay vs use of square reader
latest update changed sale processing …now i cannot use square reader …and all sales must be tap to pay. I need an option for square reader or tap to pay since not all customers have ccds that works on tap to pay!

WIDGET DOESN’T WORK WITH GLASS MODE
Anytime I change to glass mode on my theme the only widget that doesn’t work is this one. Ironically when it shows NA it works but if you’re showing a positive or negative percent it will just be white. 😭😭😭

Barely useful
I mostly would use this for managing staff hours from my phone, and it barely works for that. I can’t delete shifts when a staff member clocks in/out by accident (if it’s zero hours, I should be able to just delete it). I can’t add someone if they forget to clock in because the app forces me to add an end time to any shift being edited or added. So half the time, I still have to leave whatever I’m doing and get on the computer, anyway. A pretty terrible app. (The Teams app doesn’t have any of that functionality, either, since it’s just for employees and not for managing time sheets.)
Widget doesn’t work
I can’t approve time off requests. To access time off requests you have to click the notification bell, but the bell doesn’t indicate that any notifications are there so you would just have to check randomly. Doesn’t make sense. The only app you can approve time off requests through right now is Square Team. Not great having to have Square Team, Square, and now Dashboard just to get everything done.

This is our first POS, so far we have really enjoyed it.
SYSTEM DESIGNED TO FAIL GOOD PEOPLE.
Square held my own deposited money with zero explanation, zero documentation, and zero accountability. Not customer payments my money. Every support channel loops you through scripts, disconnects, and “security reasons” with no actual reason given. Deactivation with no warning, no evidence, and no path to resolution. You’re left stuck while they sit on your funds for months. If you rely on your business to survive, avoid this platform at all costs. The system isn’t broken this is the system.
Works well
Simple but effective app. Would love to have iPhone X support, as well as a more detailed hour by hour breakdown of sales. But overall quite happy with it.
Freezes
The first couple of days I thought the app was fantastic. Then it started freezing up on a page loading screen. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. But it would only work a couple of times and then start doing it again.
Terrible update! You just broke a working app.
What a terrible update. Totally changed the interface so reports are totally different at a glance and can’t look at sales by item anymore so have to guess at units sold. Now it’s too busy for at a glance viewing and you can’t even find critical info. Keep it simple & stop trying to reinvent the wheel when it was working already because now you just broke what didn’t need to be fixed.

Would have preferred these features were included in the square app, but if you get over that this is very helpful
I want to quickly track sales to the previous year, dashboard certainly doesn’t do this!
I want to compare this Saturday to 52 weeks ago not last Saturday or how about yesterday to the 52 weeks prior Friday. This month to last years month to date not last month or last month to last years October. Ideally I could put in a default comparison range. At least though when I hit the arrow to go to yesterday or last month etc I’d like for it to keep my selected 52 weeks prior or last years month. I use this app multiple times a day am driven mad that it doesn’t keep my selection. 😡

UPDATE: Still no fixes, I just want to revert to version before update, waiting…… It was helpful for a quick check of sales comparisons but now it compares my current sales for the day to the entire day’s sales for previous week. Makes it look like we are always far under where we should be. I also have to swipe the app away to get it to refresh. This started happening after the latest upgrade. It was fine before.
Finally able to use
Have never been able to log in, possibly due to having multiple businesses in different countries. Latest update finally gives me access to see all of them - UK, US and Japan included. Can now have rest of the team get on board too!!
A dream for small businesses
I use this every day, multiple times every day in fact. It’s an invaluable tool for me to be able to look at my day. Compare my day to the same day last year. Compare my month to the same month last year and take the pulse of my business at any given moment. The granular detail provided on my phone even when I’m away from the store. It’s just so informative and so important thank you SQUARE.

Why reduce functions?
Used to be great— now they’ve taken away the view that shows Taxes, Tips, and Payments by Source (Cash/Credit/Gift Card)!
Latest update is a step backwards
The removal of the simple graphs is not good. The new graphs are not readable on the iPhone. Hopefully they will fix in a new release. Was 5* now 3*

Does not work any more
I have Iphone12 and the app stopped working just 3 days ago. The new update worked for few days, then all I am getting is UNABLE TO LOAD DATA. It works at the end of the shift day when we end the drawer but nothing during the day to see live sales. The app continues to work on my partner’s mobile (she has a newer iphone). I deleted the app, hard reset the iPhone with no outcome. Looks like I need a new phone to get it working again! Very disappointing. I also agree with few others’ comments that the new update is “trying too hard”. All we need a basic summary with a clear view on our iPhones, not a detailed report at the front interface. I think a new change is required to show the first view as simple as possible and anyone who wants to see more can go to the next page/view to read more data. I am not getting right now the value for money for my mobile app and hope that changes sooner than later. Please fix all the bugs ASAP and consider the heavy users’ feedback.

I don’t like the new update
The old version showed me the how much sales I get every hour. The new update doesn’t allow me to see those values. Very disappointed.
New Update not great
The app has been great up until yesterday’s update. While the new graphs show more info, but its not very user friendly for non-IT users who run a business. The previous bar charts showing the previous days was more useful for biz owners then than the line chart.
Crashing on bigger iPhones
New version is not even opening. Smaller iPhones seemed to be fine, but on the large 16Pro phones crashes upon opening. Need urgent fix!

Comparisons too hard to read
The new ‘comprehensive’ timeframe comparisons have removed the hourly view, and has become too difficult to read when we have a lot of transactions during that time. Please allow users to have the flexibility to go back to the previous experience. Also please allow the iOS widget to have the option to compare to previous week of same weekday.
Doesn’t work anymore with IPhones
This app used to be amazing with live reports & analysis on sales. However for some reason with recent updates. It no longer works on my iPhone & other iPhones. I’m not sure what they have done but I no longer have access to the app. Square I love your products but what’s happening with Dashboard! Please fix this!!

As for square themselves I hate when the machines have to stop in the middle of the day to get a security code. But as for this app, I love being able to watch my different locations during the day and see analytics like the average sale amount and compare to other timeframes. Other processors I’ve tried just don’t even come close.

Last update crashes at start up on iPhone iOS 26.0.1. Deleted app reloaded still crashes
Not liking the latest update!
We used to be able to check our hourly sales at a glance on here to see what kind of day we’re having and to help with future scheduling at our coffee houses. Now it’s just a graph with no real reference points. Other than sales numbers, it’s kind of useless to me now. Disappointing, not sure if they kept the restaurant businesses they serve in mind when making this change.
