What people like
- Clean, simple, and beautiful design.
- Works great on Apple Watch.
- Small app size with no ads.
- Easy to read at a glance.
What they complain about

- Premium features don't work outside the US.
- No option to switch to Celsius.
- Annoying subscription pop-ups keep appearing.
No bad for a first attempt
Update March 2017. Latest update much better. Still one or two problems with the "this week" view. Tapping anywhere fives a word description, but not dates etc. Ans STILL no estimates of actual amounts of rain, only percentage expectation. ----------------------------- Update. See we now have Celsius, but why no way to choose thermometer and distance separately ? I want Celsius/miles, NOT Fahrenheit/miles nor Celsius/km. ----------------------------- But why is there no choice for Fahrenheit or Celsius display ? Would have thought that was a simple thing to provide - and certainly needed by me. Ah, of course. More difficult to display negative numbers ? Also percentage rainfall expectation is OK, but what about the actual estimated amount ? ---------‒----------- Update October 2025 Brilliant update. So much more detail. Lots of graphs, particularly if using Ach weather as your course provider. I can now say, without reservation, this isnow probably one of the bet whether app.

Where is the Lifetime Buy Option?
Now less useful
At some point in the past year, this app got much slower - forgivable, considering the switch of programming lang - but also considerably less accurate. Source: I am standing under a rooftop waiting for torrential rain to stop. Hello Weather said there was no rain coming, I checked different sources and the precip map. Now my options are to wait for as long as the rain takes or get ABSOLUTELY soaked. Previously I’ve paid for this app as it worked. Now? Eh. We’ll see.
Rain radar
After the last update rain radar isn’t working anymore in the UK
Genuinely useful weather forecasts
I’ve been using this weather app for a long time now and am a fully paid-up subscriber. The way it shows the weather in a simple to understand, glanceable way is worth every penny. Here in the UK the weather basically consists of three questions “Will it rain?”, “Will I burn?”, “Is it shorts or trousers today?”. This app provides the answer to those three questions immediately with its beautifully rendered graphics.

Almost perfect
I’ve been through most of the weather apps on iOS at this stage. They all pretty much do the same, more or less. But then, every now and again an app crosses your path that it just better in some way. ‘Hello Weather’ just floored me when I saw it. As a product designer how something looks is just as important as how it works. HW does both really really well. It’s incredibly well thought-out, and looks excellent. I’d love to give it 5 Stars, but can only muster a pitiful 4.5, due to the design of the weather alerts. The choice of a simple button with the text of the alert seems a strange one. Maybe an alert icon, to show that it’s an alert, might help making it distinct from just being a button. Also maybe re-colour the button to the color of the alert might also help drive home the severity. But apart from that, this is such a great app
Always wrong
This app is all the time wrong
Stop with the PRO suggestions
The app itself is nice, but the constant asking if I want to subscribe and pay for the upgraded version made me delete it. I’ve said no several times and it just didn’t care. A weather app is checked quickly to see what’s going on in the sky in the next few hours - I don’t need additional pop ups EVERY TIME trying to sell me something. Otherwise it’s a good app.
Best weather app out there
Simply put a masterpiece of design and coding. Minimalistic yet full of info. Simple yet beautiful. It's got everything you need, nothing you don't need, and it's a pure joy to use. Developers are awesome too.. dedicated, responsive and open to suggestions. If there was an Oscar for lifetime achievement in the field of weather apps these guys should get it. Without a contest.
New update forces me to pay to use my Apple Watch complication. ?
I would not have updated the app on my iPhone if I knew I couldn’t use the Hello Weather app on my watch without paying… not great communication !
Good

Not that reliable
Sadly weather monitors are based along the seashore. We don't get the correct inland weather. Always best to have your own weather station or thermometer outside.
A glance is enough.
I can take in today’s weather in a glance and, if I need to, linger a second longer after flicking the page up to a weekly forecast, such is the very clean well thought out user interface. It really is good even if your time is not precious.
Not reliable.
Doesn't show the correct weather compared to the data from bureau of meteorology.
Hello Weather
A clean look. I like it!
Latest update, Hello .. Goodbye
With Apple as the default Weatherprovider, there is no use to use this app anymore. Ok fair enough, The interface is better! But I bought this app, and now not able to switch or try one of the other providers.. but first have to buy a subscription… naaah. So Hello, Goodbye!
Much to like, but…
There is much to like in this app. But too much of it the pro version only works in the US (despite data being available for Europe) and some obvious metrics (eg wind speed) aren’t included in widgets and watch complications. I’ll keep looking in to see if these omissions are rectified, and if they are, I’ll subscribe.
Beautifully readable
Legible, attractive, multiple weather services, it’s great.
Doesn’t work anymore
Unfortunately the app doesn’t work anymore. An urgent update is needed.
Accurate and easy to use
Lovely app, very easy on the eye. Excellent local forecast from Dark Skies. Clean and simple, lightweight app that just does its job so well. Will give 5 stars if/when Weather Alerts arrive
Widget slow to update
Lately the widget is really slow to update. It’s still showing the weather from the previous day 🤷🏻♂️
The best weather app by far
I have tried them all and quite simply this is by far the best weather app. Great layout, in depth data of your need it, and a wide choice of data providers. All the information I need is there in a very straightforward structure. Just like Apple these developers have succeeded in making the complex very intuitive and easy to access. Looking forward to future developments.
Edit - the app sucks
Very nice looking app, but I found it very inaccurate. I appreciate the fact that there is no ads but I can't rely on this app.
UV Index soon please...
I will keep this review short & sweet which is very unlike me! 😂 After what I decided was an adequate length of time to appraise what promised to be a very good app, my opinion is 100% positive regarding how good it is and it has now become my go to weather app on my iPhone 11 and Apple Watch 5 44mm Cellular, it looks great on my watch’s screen! But one little niggle has stopped me from awarding it 5 stars, no UV Index forecast which means I have to rely on another source of daily UV Index Index information. Please excuse me if that is already there and I haven’t found it yet but if it isn’t please add it soon in an update. I’ll end by saying again how much I enjoy using this fantastic app and how good I think it’s UI is... I’ve put a tip in your jar, one that made the app smile! 😂
Please French !
I’m not speak english please get french this app !
Beste Wetter App
Best designed weather app around
Such a great refined experience all round, on iPhone, iPad and Watch. Love the simplicity of the design, and how succinct the weather summaries are. Widgets are clean and just right for a glance. Surprised this app isn’t the top of the Weather category.
Good app
Not a bad app...the only issue I have is having to keep getting into the app on my watch to get the most recent weather, there’s no option for it to automatically refresh! Other than it’s easy to work and has all the information you need👍
L’ho disinstallata.
Watch Complication Doesn’t Update
This is an excellent weather app, especially on the Watch where it gives very well presented and detailed info. However, the watch face complication does not auto update to show the current weather temp until it is tapped to open the app, which makes it pointless. Please fix this.
It’s great
I’ve tried numerous weather apps and none presents information better than Happy Weather.
Great UI but useless
Unfortunately, it doesn’t feature weather data from the Bureau of Meteorology, which is the most accurate weather source for Australians. Probably excellent for other parts of the world. Sorry devs. :(
Wasted Screen Space On iPad
Great app on my iPhone and just installed on iPad - I was a little disappointed to see the layout doesn’t use the screen realestate properly especially in landscape. There’s a lot of wasted space on the screen, if it was used better we probably wouldn’t have to scroll down for more info. Otherwise love it :)
Poor in Europe
Good weather app but most premium features are unavailable in Europe and it becomes clear only after subscribing.
Good looks but UI flaws and no Radar trial
The app looks nice but I decided not to go with the paid subscription for several reasons. First, there is no way to trial the radar (I need to know how the feature feels). Second, there are some UI flaws. You can't seamlessly scroll through the hour forecast, e.g. to share the relevant hours as a screenshot. Switching between tabs (e.g. forecast and locations) feels cumbersome to me. The slide-up animations make it feel like I'm leaving the app and the button placement makes closing tabs overly complicated.
Apple Watch
A top class App on Apple Watch!
Rubbish
I’ve emailed you 3 times and sent you a tweet over a week ago about this app but you haven’t replied to me. The location doesn’t work it’s saying I’m streets away the other side of the village, the radar doesn’t work and the accuracy is poor. I want a refund.
Simple and clean, keeps in line with Apple design language
This app immediately caught my eye because I'm a sucker for well-designed apps that use Apple's design language. All the information you need is on the Forecast page, and its presented neatly and clearly. I would like to see an option for text size adjustment, as the text is slightly too big for my tastes. Also iffy about the colour scheme for dark mode. It's not exactly easy on the eyes, especially when in a dark area. Great work overall though, looking forward to seeing where this extremely underrated app goes!
US Centric
If you don't happen to be located in the US then that radar button on the main navigation is going to be utterly useless to you. It's a shame they couldn't adapt the UI and hide or replace it, because the rest of the app is great. But I can't look past that big useless button I'm afraid...
Still waiting for Apple Watch support
Dev stated that Apple Watch support would be coming .....believe it when we see it ...
Easy on the eye
Got this because it has a small footprint, unlike some bloated weather apps. Thus far it has been pretty accurate and seeing all the info in one screen makes it easy to digest. We all want different things from our weather apps it would appear - I want simplicity, no ads, and small but worth using. This ticks all the boxes. If I want wind gusts I’ll check the Met Office on line. My only issue is that it shows a “between” wind speed ie between two figures. You could argue that a guess might be as effective but I can live with the variable. Besides a glance out of the window conveys the probable speed. Overall it works well.
23 degrees?!
No way to change to Celsius as far as I can tell. Which feels pretty egregious for a weather app.
Simple and clean
Really lovely, simple weather app. So much easier to read than many others. (I have five!) wish it had BOM data and temp as a badge but have still trashed my other apps. Great work guys.
Paniekerig appje
Crashes
This app has the makings of a very good weather app! But it keeps crashing when I click on the share tab 👍🏻please fix.
