EXACTLY WHAT I’VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR!
I was feeling discouraged trying to find an app that fit what I was looking for. I had almost given up until I came across this app! I am trying to get back into shape and I am an avid meditation person. I needed an app that combine both meditation, slight movement and breath work. I decided to start with the Bed Yoga Meditations and I am beyond thrilled! The library of exercises and meditations is wonderful. I don’t think I’ve loved an app this much in a very long time. This is definitely one I am going to pay for and keep for a very long time! Thank you for creating such an amazing app!
Doesn’t work
I used this app years ago but stopped when my babies were born. Now that they’re a little older I wanted to start using it again, but every time I try to open the app it crashes. I can’t even get into the app at all.
Great workouts and instructors.
I’ve used this app for years, and really enjoy the routines. I don’t use the wake up feature. Instead I set my alarm and just play the wake up afterwards. One issue that I have had is with customer support. Recently I was unable to log in, and unable to restore my subscription. It took two days to get back my account. This only happened once in the many years that I’ve been using this app, but still, it was really annoying having the app tell me that I don’t have a subscription, and I do. Wish it worked
I used this app years ago and loved it. Started paying for the full version and it started out well. Then it stopped working. It would say there was an error initializing the alarm. Its a shame-I really liked it when it worked!
Nice but needs a backup
I really, really like this app when it works, but it also frequently doesn’t. About once a week I’ll wake up to my backup alarm and a message like “file error”, or a failure message reminding me to keep the app open, which I always do. About 85% of the time it does work, but it’s frustrating that it isn’t consistent.
Best app!
I use this app every morning. Wake up yoga has the meditation to wake you up or yoga to wake you up with it’s a great app to have and I highly recommend it.
Alarm stopped working
I used this for about a month every morning and loved it but it stopped working. I reset it and still the alarm does not go off although the app says it did. Total waste of money.
Seems to have improved a lot
I originally left a 2-star review after experiencing a lot of problems with the app, but I’m editing that now since those problems appear to have been corrected. The biggest problem was that the alarm wouldn’t go off reliably, even when I made sure to leave the app open (something I’ve never had to do for another alarm app). I kept using yoga wake-up, but had to make sure to always set a backup alarm. Recently, I realized that it’s been several weeks since I got any error messages or missed wake-ups, so I wanted to update my review. It really helps me to actually want to get out of bed, not just reach for my phone. I still took off a star because based on my past experience I don’t think it’s completely trustworthy as an alarm app.

Update: I did not renew my subscription after several attempts with customer service to fix the alarm not going off. I love love love waking up to Samora’s “Motivational Morning” but the app is unreliable as an alarm. So disappointing and frustrating. When it works there is no better way to start my day. When it doesn’t, by the time I wake up enough to realize the alarm didn’t go off, calculate whether I have enough time to do the practice and if so, start it myself, the moment is ruined.
Used for many years now, best app ever.

Alarm won’t go off
I really hoped this was going to be a game changer for me, and on the mornings that it actually worked, I thought it might be. But the app is just too glitchy and unreliable to actually use. I watched the “how to set the alarm” video a bunch of times to see what I was doing wrong, and the answer was I was doing nothing wrong. Before going to bed I opened the app and made sure it said “silent ambiance is playing,” then in the morning it would say “you didn’t open the app last night so your alarm couldn’t go off.” Super frustrating and disappointing.
Great content but too inconsistent to keep paying for.
The sequences and meditations are lovely and uplifting, when the app actually works, but unfortunately, as some other reviewers have also said: this app is like a dice roll. Too often it will send me a notification that says, "You had an alarm set for this time, but the app is not running. Next time, please open the app at bedtime for the alarm to work." Which I DO, every night, but this entire past week it will only send the notification and not play the wakeup. Last night I even left the app open and just powered the screen off, and even though the app was open the wakeup would not play UNTIL I picked up the phone and unlocked the screen, and THEN it started immediately! I agree with what another reviewer said that if this app can be programmed to send a push notification at the time I have an alarm set for, WHY can it not just PLAY the alarm itself? The problems I have mentioned so far have been mentioned by several other reviewers going at least as far as two to three years back. Like other users, I also have to use another alarm app, one that works CONSISTENTLY without having to open it and HOPE that it may work (it's the standard iphone clock app), and then have YogaWakeup set to HOPEFULLY go off five minutes later. Two years ago, the developer responded to another reviewer saying (direct quote) "we are working on a new version that will allow us to run in the background," but that was TWO YEARS ago. The quality of the app content is great, but its lack of consistency to actually WORK even when you do as instructed with it means that I will likely not renew my payment subscription for it. I cannot justify paying for something that does not deliver what I payed for in a consistent manner, to the point that I'm already using a different alarm to wake me up anyway and just hoping that YogaWakeup will give me the nice end to "five more minutes, mom" in bed.
Stopped working & no response from support
I loved this app for several years. Then various updates made it glitchy. Finally it stopped working for me altogether. Anytime I try to set and alarm I wake up to error message saying that it was canceled because another alarm was set. This happens when I have no other alarms on any other apps set. I reached out via email and chat for support and received no response. If it worked still I would be using it every day and give it 5 stars but an alarm app that doesn’t sound is worthless even if the content of the alarms is great.
Alarm didn’t work
I just downloaded the app yesterday and the alarm did not wake me up this morning. I had it set and opened. Following the directions to the T, and it still didn’t work. Kind of disappointing when it’s your first time. I’ll give it another go and hope it works tomorrow morning.
So cool and unique
I am so grateful for this app. I wanted an alarm that would wake me up with a meditation to save me from the extra step of scrolling for meditations groggy when it’s already hard to create a new habit of meditating. I’ve had file glitched so far but customer service is exceptional, fast and responsive so five stars as they figure out the glitches! Grateful for the updates and free version!
Unreliable
The app must be open for it to work, but even when I make sure it is open, the wake up does not always happen. Can’t rely on the wake up. Very frustrating, so I’m deleting. Loved the idea, but the execution doesn’t work.
Feature missing: connecting to AirPods
I love this app, I love the feeling of waking up to yoga in bed! Unfortunately, I am unable to use the app with AirPods. The AirPods actually turn off once the app is opened. This would be a useful feature for me so I do not disturb my husband when doing early morning wake ups.
Clashes with other apps
I have enjoyed a couple of the yoga lessons but I have had to start them all myself. I believe that the app has turned itself off because I have been using sleep timer on the Books app or on Audible. I went to sleep last night with Yoga Wake Up on the screen (didn’t even lock it, just in case). This morning I wake up 45 minutes late with a notification that the app wasn’t active. It’s clearly possible to integrate apps, so it’s a shame that this is happening.
Best wake up
I love waking up to these yoga exercises every morning, however every couple of weeks all the files become corrupted and won’t play until I redownload them which means they don’t go off in the morning which is really frustrating. Hopefully that bug can be fixed!

Can’t be relied on for wake up
This app has to be open constantly in order to work. It crashes even if it’s open. Fine if you like the yoga but it cannot be relied on!!!

The morning yoga alarm didn’t work for me and I don’t like the American accent
Great concept, app needs work
I love this app when it’s working properly - unfortunately it doesn’t go off as an alarm about 50% of the time I set it. The app requires you to be playing silent or ambient noise from the app in order to wake you up at your designated time. The problem is, if I open up any other apps in between setting the yoga alarm/ turning on the “silent noise” and my desired wake up time, it often interferes and my yoga alarm won’t go off. I listen to meditations from other apps to go to sleep and need a couple different alarms to wake myself up in the morning so it doesn’t work for me to only use this app and nothing else from the time I go to sleep until I wake up to do yoga. That said, when it works I love this app. The meditations and breathing exercises that start from the bed and lead to yoga poses on my mat is the perfect transition and helps get me out of bed when I’m really feeling resistant to that. I really hope the tech improves so it’s easier to use this app as a reliable alarm.

Non-Functional, Frustrating, Anti-Peaceful, Anti-Yoga
I have tried so many times to use this app and it fails every time. So frustrating. Stay away! First off : you will not get woken up if the app is not on before you go to bed. This is really not helpful and sounds doable. The fact is that I am not ok with changing my lifestyle, just for a piece of tech. Second: if you do load the app before bed it still does not work. Every time I try, I get an error in the morning - the file was corrupt and needs a new download. I download it and I get the same error the next day. So, no wake up, no yoga and confusion. If you want some nice meditations then this might be ok for you. You can get the same stuff without a subscription on other apps. As a “wake up” app, it’s TERRIBLE. DO NOT PAY. If you do, make sure you don’t pay full price.
Works great, even for hardcore snoozers!
I always had big problems waking up and am a hardcore snoozer, but this app seems to be the solution! In stead of waking up with a screaming alarm, this app helps you to wake up in a more natural way with a calming but motivating voice coming into reality step by step ;) Only downside is that you need to have the app running for the alarm to work, but the background mode is under development i understood. All in all: No other app or alarm - I have tried a million - worked this well for me!
Good idea but useless
Tried using it for a few days now. You have to remember to leave it open otherwise it simply won't work. I set my phone's volume to the highest setting and did the same in the app, the phone was next to the bed and still didn't hear it. Overslept twice.
Almost love it but few tech fails
This is life changing app for me but I’ve never got the wake up alarm to work consistently. Also lacks a pause and rewind button which is really frustrating when you get interrupted and need to reset Maybe I haven’t updated but there’s not a lot of fresh sessions being added?
The way to wake happy!
I love this app! I only wish the developers would partner with a good sunrise alarm clock company to pair this wake up with hi-lux morning light.
Just download YouTube; Misleading/Another Scam Subscription App
Don’t even bother downloading this. Just use YouTube & search ‘love & kindness meditation’ or ‘your focus’ meditation if you want quality audio. Or, check out ‘waking up’ on the App Store: it has educational resources so you can better understand why meditation helps your physiology. Add this to the long list of clickbait mental health apps that seem to be circulating. I couldn’t even get through the setup session before it randomly cut off during a session to inform me that the app was actually subscription based app. Which makes me feel poorly for the people on here leaving amazing reviews since you can literally find these types of meditations for free on YouTube that are waaaaay better quality (the woman they hired for the session I heard was not exactly calming voice wise; I assume it’s probably just whatever chick started the app since that seems to be an ego-thing with a lot of these app developers). And there was no actual yoga involved in any of this (unless it was paid for, but seriously change the name of your app if you’re gonna make your focus still-meditation) which is extremely misleading given the title of the app. The setup of the app looks like it was copy and pasted from a number of other apps; really nothing special that’s worth paying to access fully. It’s really obvious that someone who can afford good therapy just took what they learned from their therapist & turned around to profit off of the fact that mental health help is hard to come by. All I was looking for was a super mild yoga for my chronic pain & instead I had to be reminded of the greedy pop-meditation experts trying to profit off of something that’s been free for so long. I hope the app developers reevaluate their intentions with this app & grow as people. It’s really heartbreaking to see stuff that’s supposed to help people being twisted into another way to make a profit.

Most awesome app in history
Unreliable
Actual app is fantastic, however I have been late to work a few mornings because it just doesn’t work some mornings for some unknown reason. I set it up the exact same way every night following their instructions so unsure why it works sometimes but doesn’t other times. I now always use a back up alarm because I don’t trust it.
Joyful Wake Up
I chronically have a very hard time getting out of bed, starting my day miserably and rushing to work. I used this app, and oh my gosh what a joyful way to wake up!!! The voices are so calm and soothing. I am stretching and easing my way out of bed. I highly recommend this app, and thank you to the developers!
Lost paid downloads
With this update all my downloaded wake-ups that I paid for are gone. Now it makes me buy a subscription. Total scam!

The music is distracting and I find the American accent doesn’t help me to relax.
This app has improved my wake ups!
I received a free trial as part of my FabFitFun box with the Accupillow. I loved it so much that I am now a lifelong member! I don’t hit snooze anymore, I wake up earlier and wake up more refreshed. The wakeups help me ease into the day and actually enjoy waking up!
Doesn’t work
When the alarms/meditations play, I guess theres a sound glitch...they’re totally silent and so it doesn’t even make a sound. Can’t hear the meditations unless I manually go in the app and play them. Otherwise, I leave it open all night for more silence in the morning. I thought it just wasn’t playing the alarms..I got on and checked and it WAS playing, but no sound coming from the app anyway. I pulled up YouTube and it played fine. Must be the app.

Love this app for work breaks
I started using this app to wake up and now I use it for movement and meditation breaks throughout my work day. I was having back issues from sitting at my computer so much and I’ve now incorporated short 5-15 min sessions in my calendar. It’s great to break up my day with movement. I love how I can choose more energizing sessions or more calming sessions based on what I’m feeling (or wearing). Or I choose short guided meditations when my brain is feeling overloaded. Beyond my body, the sessions help me stay focused and I look forward to the little breaks. I appreciate the selection of the instructors and enjoy having music with the sessions, feels like tiny retreats.

Absolutely awful! 10/10 would not recommend getting this app since you can't even SIGN UP! Why would you make an app if your viewers aren't even allowed past the log in page? The verification emails don't send, it won't let you sign in with apple, and the keyboard goes away multiple times so you have to restart the whole process multiple times without even getting an email. It's terrible!
Good concept, but needs work
Is there no way to have the app running in the background? Leaving the phone on with the light on all night seems a bit counteractive to me.
