Nice but…
Good app, but Check deposits are very frustrating. The “green box” does not find the corners of the check even when on totally different color and texture surfaces. Fix this asap please
App update
Definitely not a fan of this new layout. Confusing and hard to read and even when a payment goes a day past its due date it doesn’t highlight it purple anymore. Go back to the old layout :)

App Constantly Down
The app is constantly down or not working. In the middle of the day it will be down or things like transaction history will be unavailable. They do not have Zelle pay. Things like balances do not update after making transfers to connected accounts such as a savings account.

I do not like the new app at all. It is terrible!!

Working with RCU is like working with your best friends! Great people, super helpful, always available and local. What more can you ask for? Great return on my high yield savings account, great return on my CD, an optional fixed rate money market that I can transfer money into immediately online and a credit card with fantastic benefits, all in one place! We love RCU!

Impossible to navigate
RCU is great & all, but this app is terrible to navigate. I can’t find the receipts of my non-Royal account-> Royal loan payments. External transfers to non-Royal accounts are incredibly hard to initiate. You have to click way too many things to get to basic functions. Not a good app at all.
SSL Errors
Fairly constant SSL errors preventing most functions from working properly. Usually when accessing credit card info or paying from an external account. (This has been for over a year!)

I’ve had royal credit union for over 15 years. The people are great, the app is great, the fraud prevention is great, everything is great. If you have questions, you can call and talk to a real human from the United States in just a few minutes and they will know exactly how to help you. I don’t plan on leaving royal credit union anytime soon. They have half my mortgage, several car loans, and personal loans. They always come in quick with the best interest rates. No early pay off fees on most if not all of their loans by the way… 100% recommend.

This app makes it very difficult to set up a payment. You have to search too much just to try to set up a scheduled payment.
Useful, but check deposit needs improvement.
Generally a useful app. I use it for personal and business checking and I like that I can navigate between accounts and account types easily. Unfortunately, a recent update made it so the deposit instructions are shown and have to be dismissed for the front and back photo of each check you want to deposit. This has caused check deposit to take much longer, especially when I’m regularly depositing multiple checks at a time. Please make the instructions optional or only show them on the first check deposited in a series.

The new layout sucks
RCU for the win!
RCU has been terrific so far! So much better than my last bank!
Go back to the OLD APP layout. Fire whoever updated it to this slop.
So the app before this modern update WAS 5 stars. Now it is generic garbage. New Complaints: 1. Lots more clicking to see info now. Have to keep clicking “load more” to see any transaction older than 1 month. 2. Was able to see CD/ mortgage rates easy through the app previously, as well as text chat an AI associate. I think this stuff is gone now. 3. I did an internal transfer and NOW the transfer doesn’t show up immediately. So if you are doing multiple internal transfers you have to log out and back in to see them. 4. You used to be able to see your accounts and transfers in a selected account at the same time. Lots of easy to access data. Now you have to choose one or the other. Both are not open at the same time. The APP used to be excellent, lots of data on screen without digging for it. Now it’s more like Huntington Banks app, which I thought was inferior to the old RCU one. Now I think Huntington Banks app is superior. Why did you make the App actively worse? Is it worse switching to another bank that has a better app now? Yes.

I have been with RCU for many years. I moved out of state in 2021 and I have noticed a definite. In customer, responsiveness and general attitude. It has gone from feeling like a small town credit union that is the customers to a larger regional credit union that is not as responsive. I have stuck with RCU in part because I’m out of state and it would be hard to change banks and because I hope that RCU can get back to its past glory. Finally, I’m rather frustrated that every time I log into the online app I get a survey. Every time! It’s too much!!

Great app. Easy to use.
Bad interface
I don’t like the change to the interface. The new update to the app is less user friendly and it doesn’t work properly. When I transfer from different accounts and hit “view accounts” it just goes back to the transfer menu and I have to restart the app just to get to the home page.
