Stick with Seat Geek
I’m normally a Seat Geek Guy, but today I wanted to give Vivid Seats a shot. Very last minute game but there were plenty of options on Vivid. I decided to buy tickets right around game time. Once I made my purchase I was told to wait (normally 15 minutes). At the 15 minute mark I revived a call that the seller backed out. Missed a few innings while I worked out a deal with Brewers ticket office (they felt bad). Long story short…use Seat Geek instead of Vivid.
Pricing
I looked at prices on the app and tickets on the app versus the email that I got. They were two different prices and two different sections of seats. I didn’t understand that.

Very confusing
I was trying to buy tickets for a concert tonight and accidentally chose bid seats over a normal ticketing agency. This has been horribly confusing and using lots of apps and lots of different communications. I opened the vivid app, but the tickets don’t come there they come through Ticketmaster and then that is off of some other old email. You can’t talk to anybody and they won’t tell you where your tickets are. Very confusing very frustrating and not a straightforward experience whatsoever.

After I used this service, which was great btw, my credit card information was compromised. $50 at Wingstop. Luckily my bank caught it in time. I wouldn’t have made the connection to this app except that I just got a text message from the venue I’m going to with their contact information. I didn’t give permission to hand out or sell my phone number so it makes me think vivid is sloppy with their data. Proceed with caution

No Apple wallet support
Prices were fair but I dislike that you cannot add tickets to Apple wallet for offline/ bad cell service that happens at many venues or waiting for the sign in email/verification code when you are at the venue.

Buyer beware
I didn’t think that this was a resell website and since receiving 1 ticket it’s has been a constant battle with them to figure it out the issue, multiple phone calls. Will never be using vivid seats after the event I go to
Wrong section
The app is great and easy to navigate, but I ordered tickets 7 months ago for the Scotland vs Brazil game, specifically paid a bit more for category 3 (behind the goals). I’ve Been sent tickets 7 months later in category 4 in the nosebleeds, (wrong category and we’re going cheaper than what I paid) in the corner on the side of the ground. I’m happy to be going to the game but been absolutely stitched up with the ticket location, I’m trying to speak to someone and just get nowhere. Not happy at all.

There is no ability to turn off notifications. I don’t need to know about upcoming events that I might be interested in, so please change your app to let me turn them off!

Tickets Not Delivered
Ordered tickets days in advance, drove to the ballpark, Vivid Seats couldn’t deliver the tickets and then cancelled the order minutes before the game started. Just because Vivid Seats charges your credit card, that doesn’t mean that you have tickets. I’ve used Seat Geek and Stub Hub many times before without issues. Plan to remove the Vivid Seats app and close out the account. ——— [Edit includes text below in response to Vivid Seats reply of September 2, 2026.] Just so it’s perfectly clear, Vivid Seats customer service team did nothing more than 1) inform me that they couldn’t deliver the tickets, 2) cancel my order minutes before the game and 3) offer to refund the charge for the tickets. People can judge for themselves if that’s a “proper resolution.” As a further note, I had also purchased parking for the event through Vivid Seats, so if unable to attend because of Vivid Seats failure to deliver on the game tickets they were happy to keep the parking fee paid for the event. I would also encourage potential customers to look at the RECENT reviews at the Apple App Store. Overall review score looks pretty good, but recent reviews are not good. A person working at the game said that they heard that another customer was also having issues with Vivid Seats. Apparently this is not an isolated issue.
Not internationally literate
The app was easy to use in most regards; however I am booking tickets from Australia. The app wouldn't recognise the + sign for my mobile number which is used preceding the country code of 61. I was left unsure that I was legitimately booking tickets; I hope it works!!

Customer service saves the day
Okay so my last review was really mean cause I was angry, justifiably angry, the seller was a complete let down and was being completely unresponsive. After a while of weaving my way through the automated services I finally got in contact with a customer service lady I'd only heard about in myths and legends. She profusely apologised for what had happened and tried getting in touch with the seller themselves to no avail. She then was even more sorry so immediately emailed me over tickets that were better than the ones I'd originally ordered. Still don't fully trust them to use them a second time but I'm now happy that I finally have my tickets, customer service lady, you've made my day

Didn’t realize they were scalpers. Spent $300+ on tickets, only to find out they wouldn’t transfer at the event. They “internally investigated” and found that couldn’t give a refund. Had to file with the credit to get my money back. Hard pass!

100% scam! why does it take to the last minute to get your ticket even though they take your money right when you buy it!?!? BECAUSE THEY DO NOT OWN THE TICKETS YOURE BUYING and there is no recourse if the seller won't forward you the ticket ... and vivid doesn't care b/c they got their money already and will keep a portion of it even if they have to refund you yours. and you don't gets actual refunds, they'll give you a credit, which you have to spend on site! total f'n scam!! the customer service is garbage DO NOT USE!!!

Vivid is a scam. They pose as official but are resellers.
What the developer response doesn’t tell you, is that they do everything they can to make sure you don’t know it’s a reseller until after they have your money. Somehow, this company has managed to get listed by sports companies like ESPN. Being linked from ESPNs matchup, I thought I was being directed to the ticket seller, not a reseller.

Yesterday 8/29/26, I had one of the most frustrating experiences with this company. I HIGHLY recommend using a different ticket outlet. I transferred two of my 3 tickets to family and they never got them. We had to buy two new tickets at the game. They will not even consider working with you in any way. Support is non existent with script readers. Just absolutely terrible!
