Just what I wanted
I have 3 DSLRs so for the times I don’t have them md need a little manual control once in a while this app is perfect. Has everything. Happy to donate as soon as I’m done writing this review. Don’t hesitate to download comes with so many controls and options
Major Zoom Bug
I used this app on my iPhone 14 and now iPhone 16e but I could never get the zoom feature to work consistently, neither the pinch or slide setting. Made the app unusable unfortunately.

Confusing!
With all the bells and whistles, this bad boy is confusing ASF! Trying to select a photo from iphone is a nightmare, can't select individual photos easily, importing doesn't seem to be a thing, and I'm not really seeing much improvement with saturation or contrast between the basic, iphone camera and when I use this app.
Film recipes please!
Still needs film recipes, otherwise amazing alternative when without a typical point and shoot camera
Can you give me a chance to test before making decision?
I have just downloaded this app since it was highly recommended by a professional photographer website. Once it is downloaded, wanted to test before making decision to buy. NO! The app keeps asking me to make the decision for the subscription. I don’t even have amy chance to explore the features. One click, it jumps to the subscription screen. Yes, the company offers 7 days free trail with subscription, if this is not the app that fits my needs, why bother to make the subscription and cancel it later. Sorry! I have already uninstalled it and will not consider apps like this not letting me a chance to try out before purchasing.

So this app is pretty sick. I really do enjoy it. But unfortunately, I have an issue. I am using an iPhone 16 pro max. I have an external ssd attached to my iPhone. The app will not recognize the ssd there for I cannot shoot in log. So that is a dealbreaker for me. If I didn’t need that feature, it would have a 5.

A solid camera app
This app has been around a long time. I’ve had it installed on my iPhone for years. I fooled around with it a few times here and there, but never gave it a serious look until I recently upgraded from my old iPhone 12 Pro to the 17 Pro. As I now have a much better camera system, I thought I should give it another try. The first thing I noticed when I opened the app is that it was just upgraded to work with iOS 26 and the new iPhone 17 models. For an app I think I originally got for something like $.99 that doesn't require a subscription, this was a refreshing surprise. The developer is a rare breed in this day and age, and you can see that he takes pride in his work. There is enough documentation available through the app to learn how to operate the various controls, but the best way to figure it all out is to just start using it. Practice makes perfect. Keep in mind that the primary purpose of the app is to give you the ability to manually control your smartphone camera settings as if you were using a full-featured DSLR camera. It does not include any post photo editing capabilities. The photos you take using Proshot are stored in the same photo library as the ones you take when using the native camera app on your smartphone. In short, this is not some pricey overbloated camera app that attempts to do everything. It is just a more capable alternative to the regular camera app that came with your smartphone. I do hope the developer continues to support this app in the future.
The app works sometimes
It doesn’t always work. Sometimes, when I try to take pictures it looks like it’s taking them, and then they never appear in my gallery, not sure why. My device is the iPad Pro (9.7-inch).
Love the app!!
I use both Android & iOS versions! The frustrating thing s they both have different functions! On Android, you can shoot with log or flat profile to color grade later. It seems the Android version is more film dedicated. On the iOS version, you can snap photos in black & white as it seems more photo dedicated. So I wish both had video log/flat options. Also I would love to be able to shoot raw/proraw photos in black & white. That would be a game changer for me. Also different video aspect ratio option would be great. Sometimes I wish ProShot could shoot video in 3:4. I usually prefer the oldschool boxed look. Another con is the auto exposure lock only locks on auto setting. That’s a bit frustrating. It should lock on manual. Anyways, Eddie keep up the awesome work. This app has come such a long way from it’s inception.

this is my favorite camera app
this is my favorite camera app. i like the interface the most out of all the ones i downloaded. it makes sense in my brain more than many other camera app interfaces. i wish it had zebra stripes for exposure like how it has the visual focus peaking in manual mode, maybe the dev will see this review and add it, either way it is my favorite app to shoot in raw on my phone.
Waste of money
The GUI is more awkward to use than Apple's and will not let you use one of the volume-control buttons as a shutter button.
Wishlist
Burst mode More programming (shutter/iso) flexibility on 48 megapixel setting Remote/Apple Watch shutter (Apple Watch complication/app). Better Video than native iPhone camera (C’mon guys).

My favorite of the pro style camera apps
ProShot gives access to all the controls you’d want that the stock camera app doesn’t allow. I really love the UX and design. Everything is easily accessible, but still looks stylish. The only request I’d like to see is a tint control option. I notice a green tint depending on the color balance. This can fixed in post, but it would be nice to have the option in app.
Seriously?
Whichever way I turn my iPad, part of the UI does not rotate the right way and the text is sideways. I have no intention to get a stiff neck every time I use it. Deleted until fixed.
This app is so good, but a few bugs need ironing out
This is such a great app for iPhone photography! But sometimes the viewfinder screen freezes randomly. If this error is fixed, this app would be so much more reliable!

I have no idea how to turn off the automatic enhancement
I downloaded this app because Reddit recommended it, they said that this app doesn’t have the automatic enhancement that Apple installed in their iPhone, but unfortunately it’s still there, I don’t know if there’s a way to turn it off in the app or not, but I hope there is because Reddit raised my hopes up :)

Had this app since almost day one. It was not as robust or configurable back then, but at that point in time, nothing was, and it was STILL light years beyond all THE other photographic apps, and has kept up and is now. That is my main point. They are constantly upgrading and updating this app, and not milking its customers every one or two years with a new app whilst discontinuing the current version. They have stayed with this app contributing to its fantastic ability to be configured. Of any other photographic apps in the App Store (I’ve had them all) this is still my favorite! Visit their tip jar!
One big issue
You can’t edit all settings when taking a 48mp still, so it is fairly useless for me.
Excellent. What about Cinematic Mode Support?
This would replace Apple’s Camera app for me if cinematic mode was supported. Please add! Love the app. RAW photos come out of this much better than Apples RAW versions. Not sure what algorithm you have here but it’s 3x smaller file size and somehow looks 3x better.
Keeps crashing
I just bought this app really upset everyone i try to take a photo it crashes. Can I get I refund or get this fixed.
Mov/Photo Information is recorded wrong.
Google photo app recognizes wrong date and time, and missed geo information of photos/movies captured by this app. I ruined my timeline of travel pictures in google photo.
The best camera app I’ve ever found
The developer has clearly put a lot of thought into this app. I love how much it feels like my DSLR, everything is so easy to access, it all just makes sense. So happy I found this and can’t wait to use it more!

Excellent photography app, just one issue
Ditched my DSLR. iPhone 14 Pro + ProShot is bliss. Love the many options for manual configuration of my shot. Hope to see some editing/filter options and even further improvements to app launch time in the future. Only thing I dislike is that the app adjusts my volume every time I open it. I keep my volume at 0%, but opening the app bumps it to ~25%. I’d rather the app not inexplicably mess with my volume.
Keeps crashing for me
I was really excited to use this but it keeps crashing when I try to take a photo. I have an iPhone 6s but haven’t had problems with other apps. Can I please get a refund or help me fix this? It does have a beautiful interface and I’m sure it’ll be great if it works for your phone.

Continues to be the absolute best of the best of the best
I got this app a long time ago and have been using it for everything other than the quick snapshot. The software is one of a kind for the iPhone. There are quite a few somewhat impressive apps on Android that offer similar functionality, but in the iOS world, you will not find anything that even comes close to the quality of performance, feature set, or reliability as this. The developer is very evidently a dedicated, skilled programmer who accepts nothing but the very best from his work, as it shows so clearly when you spend some time using this app for your most challenging and creative photographic projects. Sir you are an artist and an innovator.
Customer support contact please
Can I have someone contact me. Every time I use this app it crashes. I just took an entire product photography shoot, every time I took a picture it showed the thumbnail (because I just took that picture) - I just went to put everything on my computer and 10 of the 60 pictures I just took are actually there. The other 50 images literally disappeared into thin air. I want a refund.
Error in saving video caused me a whole shot?
Edit after a week: developer reached out seeking for system info, and was able to source the issue and provided a fix with a version update, all done within 3 days time. Quite impressive. Hopefully no issue of such severity would occur again. So after a two minute take, the app game me “Error in saving video”, and the whole take disappeared. App error caused user a whole shot? So much for a “‘Pro’Shot”. Not trustworthy to the minimum.
Poor UI - crashes
My old iPhone runs well, and I've got loads of free storage, but it still froze then crashed within moments of beginning to tweak settings. Plus, the UI on a 4" screen requires tiny elf fingers. Sorry to give a low rating, but it's an honest perspective.

It have a weird problem where the camera is still working but the screen freezes quth the last picture i took after i use bulb mode or large exposures

Feature missing - see update below
I’ve been going through the tutorial and the lens chooser feature is mentioned, as it is in the general description of the app features, but where the button is indicated to be is a flash on/off button on my app. I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro Max which has multiple lens but this feature seems to be missing. I’ve updated all my apps and even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Pro Sot but I still see the flash selector instead of lens selector. UPDATE - very pleased to receive a response from the developer explaining the repositioning of the lens selector. Haven’t used the app as yet but have experimented with the settings and am looking forward to using the app. soon.
Crashing more
App is ingenious and been useful. I have find it crashing a lot recently however. I think it's doing this far more than before.
Great App, Very Bad Update
This is a really great app, the best of its type that I have tried to, and I’ve probably tried them all. The main reason I called at the best is because of its interface, very clean, logical, and most importantly, highly intuitive. This is very important for people that don’t use every single function all the time, and every once in a while, need to change something, and want an app that makes it easy and intuitive to find an make that change. Though this app does use quite a variety of styles of pop up menu or selection, they are all consistent in that you get exactly that, a clear indication from one touch of exactly what all the options are, and what your selection is. This update seems to totally ignore that design vision, and introduces a cycle button, one of the most annoying and unintuitive selection interfaces that exists. For example, imagine those flashlights, you really hate to use, the ones where you have a single button, and every time you push it, it changes to a different mode; you have to keep pushing through all the cycles simply to turn it off, and you have to remember the sequence of modes, otherwise you often over shoot when you’re in a hurry, and worse, unless you cycle through all the options every time, you never know what all the options even are (unless you memorize them). The AE cycle button is a perfect example of the type of interface control that should never be used in an app/camera-device of this type. I hope the developer decides to keep a more consistent interface, and present the various options just like the button directly next to it does. I also hope they remember that the choice of metering mode should also be completely independent of whether or not exposure can be locked; the inappropriate choice of control interface in this update, makes that impossible This was a very poor and discouraging update in that regard.
A real camera
You can adjust white balance, shutter speed, etc. Not an AI montage, but a single photo with blemishes.

Great photo and Video app
After using this for a while I still stand by my first review: This is a really great little app. The interface is slick and pretty, and the controls are easy to use. I’m a little disappointed that I’ve found there is no option to film in 21:9, and no auto focus or auto exposure lock. The light painting and light trails settings are great, you can get some pretty sweet photos using that! Looking forward to the February app update to see what’s new! Will re-review after testing it out!

Freezes when changing from photo to video mode on iPhone 5 iOS 8.2

I bought this because I needed an App that can do long exposure for time lapse but just like the other app which was free by the way… this one only does 1/3 of a second when set the time lapse and I need closer to 1 to 6 seconds exposures 😒
