Obvious Jewel
I purchased this app years ago and used to a bit, but I didn’t have the technology at the time to really make it work. Now I have headphones that don’t interrupt my sleeping. this has enabled me to get tons out of the app. As I said, I purchased this app years ago long before it expanded into what it is today. My only wishes that I could turn off all of the other things, and just use the classic product which I purchased. Well it is possible to do that, what I’m asking for is the ability to turn off all the reminders and screens that I have to remember to click through so that I can just use the sleep and Knapp classic products which I purchased so long ago. I don’t like subscriptions. The other option is offer another lifetime.
Crashes immediately after opening

Used to be brilliant
Now constantly crashing under ios26. Please fix
Paid for a year and only got halfway through before my account got deactivated.
I liked the sounds of the app but it deactivated my account halfway through my annual period. Can’t get it working without buying it again. It says on my account it’s still active but it won’t let me into the app.
No updates
It’s such a shame that what was a good app is now falling short compared to others. It always used to be my number one for relaxation and falling asleep. I was invited to joined the Facebook group some years ago and I posted several times about this but there has been no updates. If I recall too I was told most of the interaction is now in Instagram which not all of us use. My subscription is due in October and sadly I have already cancelled so it will then expire. Not what I wanted but the app has badly needed refreshing a long time ago due to competition.
Crashes on iOS 26
UPDATE: This was fixed within the first week of iOS 26 release. I got a response from the developer that they’re committed to updating the app. So happy to be able to update my review and give them the 5 stars they deserve. This is a must-have app for power napping. Hoping in the future they’ll watch for instability during the public beta period. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I love this app and have used it for power naps for years. I hope they’re still supporting it because it’s currently unusable and immediately crashes upon opening.
Used to be great. Not anymore
(TLDR; charges you without providing anything. Sad because it used to be good.) First used this years ago. It was really helpful, but eventually I didn't need it anymore. Got out of the habit of using. Recent events and illness have impacted my sleep, so I thought this would be a pleasant and nostalgic return to something that helped in the past. Nope. The app begs for money now. Thought "sure, why not, I'll buy a year. It's a good app." Nope. Took my money without giving me any access to any of the paid features. The begging for subscription looks pretty... that was important to someone in development. Too bad the actual delivery of content to paying users wasn't of similar priority.
Great app that keeps getting better.
What is one good night of sleep worth to you? I wish everything I like was free or really cheap. Unfortunately, none of it is... This app is great for helping me with sleep. The developer is constantly making it better. That is important for me as require it to be different at times. I love how this app keeps going for as long as I want. Many competing products last a few minutes... useless. It is wonderful we have options. I hope everyone finds a sleep app that works for them. I find this app to be a very reasonable price for what I receive. Keep up the great work guys. This newest update is amazing!
Initially quite good, now poor
The app developers appear to have gone out of business according to recent news reports. Any attempts at contacting customer service go unanswered. Save your money.
No Updated sounds or stories
Why have there not been any new stories released? The latest is The Lost Sock & that was almost a year ago. If there’s no consistent updates to the content, then what are our subscriptions paying for?

The playback keeps switching to my iPhone
I am using this app for the first time, it keeps randomly switching the playback from my headset (both Powerbeats and AirPods Pro) to my iPhone. Completely negating the whole point of the app! Fix this please
Unique and effective
It really is a great app. I have never had any technical problems with it. It introduced me to a very ingenious and healthy way to handle bouts of insomnia. Also how to nap properly. Just long enough to wake up refreshed and energized. Unfortunately the subscription costs are now out of my price range. That’s basically the way it goes with almost anything. Especially with technology. So it’s great stuff. A really good app. If you subscribe then it won’t be too long until you have your butler install it on all your smartphones

Beautifully executed concept that is besmirched by sharing and/or selling user data to Facebook/Meta. Pzizz gets a big rating drop from me but Apple privacy reporting gets 5/5 stars!
Getting Dated

Love it except can’t get in it.
I’m putting 5 stars because I do really like it, when I could have it. but it will not let me in the app. Which I have tried everything to get back in. I can’t pay to have the premium and can’t pay for the trial. I think it’s basically kicked me out. I mean I press the app and whenever I try to sleep nap focus or anything, it goes to the payment page. This is really hard and disappointing if not fixed. Please please please, developers please fix it! Please respond! I am jobless and don’t have money, I need the sleep and it’s helped me so so so much. I keep on trying, if this keeps up where you give them a week to have it and then make them pay…I know so many apps and company’s that have done that and have gotten sued a lot. Please don’t MAKE ME PAY. It says my app status is FREE! Then why isn’t it free? Please developer, I’m begging.

Pretty good for just sounds.
I like the app. Even the free version, which is limited to two sound tracks, is able to get me to sleep on those odd nights when it doesn’t happen naturally. The app is kind of at a disatvantage when it comes to rarings, in that it’s only used when people want to go to sleep and the last thing they want to do is take the time to rate an app, I’ve had pzizz for several years and I’m finally getting around to lettting them and you know that it’s pretty good.
Too much talking.
After seeing all the 5 star reviews i downloaded for my husband. We previewed the sounds and found one he liked. The. The guy started talking. He wouldn’t stop. Had to turn it off for it was annoying both of us. We just want sound no talk.
Started out great… they seem to have stopped development.
They have quit development as far as I can tell. It started out strong many years ago but basically have done no further creating of content for sleep.
Best sleep for International Flight Attendants
I have to make myself go to sleep at weird times when I travel all over the world and I don’t know what I would do without this app. It puts me to sleep in five minutes. I also play it with all three grandchildren and they fall asleep within minutes. It’s the best I’ve ever tried and I’ve tried them all! Love love love this app!!!
Poor content on free version
This app is not easy to use. I wanted to try the free version before spending any more on sleep. All I get is the same narration every night and no dreamscapes. When I try to select something different a subscription flag appears. I am not going to subscribe until I experience a bit more choice.
Still great app. Still subscription
Update oct 2022 The following (below) still applies.. unfortunately the annual cost is still too high as I now don’t use frequently, so I stick with the free offering. If the cost were more reasonable I would be paying and contributing to pzizz bottom line ===== I have been using Pzizz on and off since its first release on iOS and have found it to be great. If you just try a little bit with it and allow yourself to tune into the process it works really well both for sleep and naps. I can’t fault the app itself. I have to give it 4* but would be 5* if not for the subscription model I hate subscriptions and so have had to back out of full functions and revert to the paired back subscription free option due to having to prioritise each year which apps I subscribe to as the aggregate cost of them all has become too high. Maybe in a few years time Pzizz will get its turn again It’s a real shame but I guess just the unpleasant way the world is turning … ultimately where we all end up paying but owning nothing.
Volume
It’s a good app if you have lots of money and don’t mind music that’s too loud to hear the narration properly when quiet enough to fall asleep to. The narration is high quality and calming and nice to be able to choose your favourite voice. But the music is too loud compared to the narration and makes me more stressed than relaxed. Would be better to be able to tweak the difference between music and voice. The cost is also too high for a yearly thing with so few music choices and different options. It’s about half the price of tidal for a year and that has millions of albums. Nit sure what the 3d voice is meant to be. I expected it to be layered maybe like in Paul McKenna hypnosis tracks or something but it just kicked from one ear to the other and isn’t 3d or anything special.
I enjoyed it at first
I liked using the app, I don’t like the talking or music so I picked out one of the free sounds “rain on a tent” and I’d play that every night, I liked the alarm feature too. However, now they’ve made it so none of the sounds are free to download and they want £7 a month. I’m not going to pay £7 a month for a sound bite of rain so now I’ve uninstalled the app and I’ll just need to stick to YouTube.
Phenomenal App
I use it almost every day at work to keep me focused. I don’t sleep a lot (pain issues) and the “Focus” movement music keeps me on task vs. putting me to sleep. I’ve no idea how one writes purpose-driven music, especially the Focus aspect without either making it obnoxious or inadvertently putting me to sleep, but they pulled it off in spades.
After a week app breaks and wants $50
Garbage. Only moderately functional anyway. Then demands $50/yr. 0/5 stars.
New version is crashing
I really love Pzizz! But the new version is crashing. Every time I go back to the app when my meditation is playing, the app crashes every time. Please fix this crashing issue.

What a calming and guiding voice (and sounds). Now, the cadre of vocal guides don’t impart calm or sleep. I won’t subscribe again. 🥲

I LOVE THIS APP
I’ve actually used this app for over 10 years? I want to say? I don’t know but it’s been a looong time. I LOVE Abbe’s voice, and Anna’s hypnosis; The journeys and the myths. One of my favorites is “the wardrobe of your feelings” where I pick out clothes (in my mind) that will make me feel my most confident 💁🏽♀️ I fall asleep thinking about the best version of myself and after all these years I’m actually turning into that person day by day and I credit Pzizz with a lot of that (not to be dramatic). Other favs include An Inca Journey With an Alpaca, and The Rockabye Railway. Who doesn’t want to fall asleep on a soothing train ride? By the time Abbe gets to the part about hot cocoa I’m usually out lol. I use it for sleep at night, meditations during the day and when I started I didn’t have kids but now I have two daughters and they also know when it’s a Pzizz kind of night. It’s not a punishment of any kind! It’s a treat! They’re only 5 & 6 but they know it works. They love Daughters of The Air, Alice Underground, Petite Snow White and many others. My fav soundscape is still Classic Pzizz Sleep - the binaural beats are top notch. Thank you Pzizz for an app that is stress free to use (this part is so important - can’t stress this enough), the wonderful stories, and the voices that I’ve come to associate with coziness and calm. It’s perfection or I wouldn’t still be here 10+ years later. I check the “new” list all the time and I’m delighted anytime there’s anything new because I know it’s going to be awesome.

For what it cost, it’s really not worth the money. There are better apps out there for sleep. This one is overpriced, and doesn’t have a lot of options.

Not working anymore!
I fully paid for this app when it first came out. I even paid the apps for when it was sold as Sleep and Nap separately for my other apple product. Now the original app does nothing. I deleted and downloaded the app. Of course now it asked for sign-in and subscription. I skipped all of that. I get to the SLEEP, NAP, FOCUS screen. I selected nap and the desired length of time. I clicked the check mark and NO AUDIO. I can see something running because I see bar graph moving (raising/lowering). Similar thing is happening on my other apple product. As per Apple requirement, developer’s can eventually upgrade to subscription but the for the ORIGINAL purchasers get grandfathered in providing only all the features as the original. One thing still working, the ALARM. It sounds off when the selected time lapsed. So please fix it!!!
Excellent program overall
Whether it is sleep, nap or helping to focus during my work, Pzizz is excellent. I really like the sleepy history series as well as the mindfulness and meditation tracks but appreciate the variety of types of sleep tracks offered and ability to adjust voice and music/background volumes separately. I do see some areas where improvements could help, though. 1) I would appreciate other options for ways to pay than yearly subscriptions. This is an app I would like to use for years, so being able to flat out purchase it, with the option of purchasing additional track bundles rather than only the subscription options would be appreciated. The developer response did not address this. 2. I also wish there were more variety in speakers available for nap tracks: most options only have a single female voice available. Having more options for male voices voices would be appreciated. The developers state they are working on this. 3. I would really appreciate the ability to mark the few backgrounds or vocals that I dislike. There aren’t many, but it would be nice to use the randomization feature without it picking a few of the tracks that don’t well for me. There’s one main one I can think of where the sound comes on intermittently enough that it tends to disrupt my sleep every time the sound kicks in unless i specifically choose what soundscape to play. The developer response stated there is a dislike option but maybe that is android phone only as I have the latest iPhone version and my only options are to delete it or mark it as a favorite. One thing I have enjoyed over subscribing the last year is how much the program has expanded the different narratives available.
Disappointed
The first couple times I used the app for napping were phenomenal. Then the audio changed to a different track a few days later and I found it very difficult to use. Something about the new speaker jerks me awake multiple times during the 20 minute recording. Not having a subscription, there’s nothing I can do about this. I get that the company needs to make money, but in my case, they’ve rendered the app unusable. Guess I’m napping the old fashioned way for now
It’s ok, but…
I downloaded this app so I could sleep better. After a few days I got a pop-up saying I had to purchase the subscription to change anything. Why is changing your settings for the sounds locked behind a paywall? I mean, I know you have to make money somehow but locking any customization is a bit far in my opinion. Now I’m not able to sleep well with it because I can’t customize any of my sounds. It’s truly annoying. If you will even take my review into consideration, I have an idea. Let people customize their sounds but make it slightly gated. What I mean by this is let people choose the categories they want a random sound from and if they want to choose a specific sound, that can be gated. It makes it so it’s not too much behind a paywall but enough that users are able to actually use the app well after their free trial ended. If you take my idea into consideration, maybe I’ll consider re-downloading the app.
Pzizz is PERFECT!
At times I just need a cat nap and don’t have all the time. This gives me a hour rest in 15-30 minutes.
Worst app ever, scam do not buy
Downloaded the app thinking it would be free and somehow out of nowhere I see that £59.99 has been taken out my bank account! I emailed on multiple occasions to many people and didn’t even receive a reply, biggest scam !!!!
Great app but shouldn’t have to pay
I love this app! It always helps me get to sleep or relax but I’d prefer if I could choose which narrator I’d like without having to pay. Great work.

The app only gives you 1 track free and the rest needs a subscription. Would have liked a few songs free, I am low income so I can't afford it
Subscription stuff makes me mad
So I love this app helps me to sleep ever day!! And I like changing it and I use to be able too like I would be like I want Bethany voice ok I’ll change it or I don’t feel this sound today I feel like a snowy sound and now it’s making me get a subscription to change everything!!! Like it’s making me mad might delete cause it’s annoying cause the ad I’m pretty sure said you can do this for free and that only some stuff can be money if u want premium but the things I’m doing and HAVE done before are now making automatically try and get a subscription super annoying but the app is good relaxing voice and yeah!! Really good for people with anxiety and can’t sleep <3 but the subscription thing UGHH!!!

I’ve had Pzizz since 2014 and it’s the best of it’s kind in the App Store. I’ve downloaded and deleted many like apps over the years, but this one has been a keeper since day one. Two big thumbs up!!
Not really a sleep app
If you like Muzak then you will probably like this app. As a keen musician I found the “soundscapes “ extremely irritating with no way to turn them off. I did not sign up but see from other reviews that people have often been charged even when they thought they were using the free app. I trust this will not happen in this case. I am deleting the app immediately.
Love & dislike
I really enjoy this app it sends me to sleep in minutes can’t fault it at all in terms of sending me to sleep. The only issue I have is I turned the narrator off for one night (it said the classic Pzizz is available for all users free or subscribers) and now I can’t have the narration back which I’m gutted about as that got me to sleep even quicker! Would definitely recommend & even send it to all my friends who suffer with insomnia like me.

I’ve used the free version for a week and it’s worked well after downloading via an NHS link. Obviously the creators aware trying to push you into paying which I get but this is a pretty disingenuous way of going about it. Poor behaviour, A Cheapskate-Insomniac. Update following feedback. The free sleep module was initially a different recording, I did not enter into a trial and selected the default free sleep option. This then changed to a different free default option. I hope that has clarified what I have experienced. Astounded that the NHS are pushing this tbh.
Losing interest.
Initially I really liked this App and found Bethany’s voice so calming. But after several months I realise I am listening to the same sleep meditations, letting go and drifting off, and rest for the weary hearted , and not much else. The reason is that no new meditations of this sort have been added. For the expense of the App this is a shame as so much more could be included particularly subject matter dealing with anxiety and an overworked / repetitive mind. That’s what keeps most of us awake. So yes it’s a good app but my sense is that the developers have been sitting on their laurels. Check out tenpercent if you want an example of how new content should be added.
