Great but no .fit files
This app is awesome! I just got my trainer (Kickr Core) and have tried a couple different apps. Found this one had a free trial and I’m hooked! It’s crazy to ride and see and feel different parts of the world, almost like I’m there! My only complaint is getting my .fit files to upload to my Garmin. I just finished a ride at 17:00 and it’s now 19:40 and still no sign of the file in my email (even tried the spam and junk folders). If I could figure this out it would definitely be a 5 star app! Even still, love it!
Major flaw in version 7.0.5
Previously downloaded rides are not found by version 7.0.5, yet they remain on the iPad with no way to delete them. This has FulGaz taking up 65% of the space on my iPad. Some report the only way to fix this is to delete the app and reinstall it. Of course you will need to reconfigure all your settings.
Quality Videos - WHEN it works
The quality and variety of the rides in FG is excellent, so many options form all over the world. Unfortunately, problems exist that I can’t overlook. For example, every time, and I mean every time, I go to use the app, it won’t connect to any of my devices (Wahoo, Power Meter, HR Monitor) I have to reboot my MacBook Pro before FG will connect, every time. Note that this is the ONLY app running on the MacBook and no other app has used the Wahoo, PM, HR monitor. This in and of itself is unacceptable. There are some other minor issues I could overlook, and a couple other that seem to be random but are unacceptable (e.g., video freezing, missing links). So I really wanted this app to work but until issues can be addressed, can’t recommend. Once the trial expires, it will be removed from my system and I will revert to another, more reliable app I have previously used
There have been a few issues along the way but overall it's been a great app
2020 I bought my first Kinetic bike trainer since we won’t be going to the gym this winter. I’ve been using Zwift since I got it and while it worked and was ok I just wasn’t supper impressed with the ERG mode as it was made more to follow a certain training workout rather than the terrain and the videos weren’t real. I road the Windsor Great Park ride tonight and I love FulGaz’s HD real videos of real places so you actually get to ride places you may or may not ever get to visit and the ERG mode really seemed to follow the video and displayed grade very well. Also this was the first ride since getting the trainer were my average speed inside matched what I normally average outside. I look forward to more rides to explore different trails! One Con I just realized about FulGaz is it doesn’t upload your rides to their server so you can’t review your past rides on another device as past rides only reside on the device were you were running the app at the time. You can get around this limitation by having it automatically upload your rides to Strava or one of the few other options. 2026 The latest update wiped cleared many of the settings back to default like imperial vs metric and I had to sign back in plus my trainer reacted to hills very differently than it has been lately so I had to adjust some of the trainer feel settings, it also lost all my ride history so I'm glad I had it all going to Strava. Luckily it did retain my favorite ride list.
Not easy to navigate
I tried this app but it did not want to give me choices at the start. It kept asking me to login even after I had created an account. Not worth the effort to get it to work.

It really is good to be able to pick a ride from just about anywhere in the world & ride it, especially with the ride filmed by someone on a bike
Going downhill metaphorically
Used to be pretty good simulation, but lately has been extremely buggy and last update messed with the function. Actively looking for a new simulator.

Way Better!
After a long summer of outdoor riding I’m back on the trainer and super excited to find out FulGaz is a lot better! Had a much smoother experience all around and the video quality is absolutely stunning compared to before.
app doesn't work
Unfortunately, neither the ios app nor the macbook app allow me to log in. I can log into the website just fine. Interestingly, there is a message on the use profile section of the website that says "If you are having trouble logging into the FulGaz App, you can reset the login token." This tells me the company are aware that their apps are buggy. Well, I tried to reset the login token, to no avail. I have to give one star, since I haven't been able to even log in, let alone try a workout.
Best home cycling app
I tried them all, and FulGaz ticks most boxes. Product keeps improving, and support excellent.
Unreliable
This was a great app before the recent update. The ride videos are awesome in quality, the variety of rides available is huge, the POV perspective of real ride videos is a great alternative to a game-like environment. The recent update has changed things. The app is now buggy, with issues ranging from “buttons” that don’t click to videos that just do not run reliably. Before that big update, I would have recommended the app to anyone. After that big update, I cannot recommend the app. Maybe that will change if they ever get around to fixing the issues.
Phased Out 🥺
I’ve been using Fulgaz for nearly 4 years but with this last upgrade, it phased me out. My iPad can no longer support it and I am really sad to have to part. Hoping that I can get some support from another app with real video footage.
FulGaz is great!
I used ZWIFT with my Wahoo KICKR trainer for three years then discovered FulGaz and couldn't be happier. Over 2000 rides, all types of terrain and difficulty, such variety, technically it works really well. I like the real video rather than the computer generated with avatars. The staff at full is hard-working and receptive to ideas and feedback. I have filmed a few rides myself and they are in the process of being turned into actual rides, and it's been fun and interesting. Would highly recommend FulGaz.
ios app buggy, can’t log in
Created account, downloaded the app on my ipad, and couldn’t log in. I changed my password several times, deleted and re-downloaded the app, restarted the ipad, did all the things, but failed to log in. The app waits for about five seconds before telling me they can’t log me in. Seems like some sort of bug. The program looks like a cool idea, too bad I can’t try it out.
Realistic rides
Fulgaz provides realism in the rides as they are filmed by a bike rider. I like the number and variety of rides with a broad spectrum of distance and difficulty. I use an iPad in a holder on my handle bars and I become totally absorbed in the ride. The computer gives comprehensive data ( I am sure my watts reading is way too low!!!) with everything you need to know. My only criticism is the price keeps increasing way ahead of inflation. It is expensive.
Crash mid ride
Two stars for connect ability- strava and wattbike no problems. Managed one ride no issues, second ride FulGaz stopped running then crashed. Then the app went to login failed and I’ve not been able to log back in. Last thing I wanted to be trying while mid workout. Note- full WiFi connection at all times. 👎

It crashes before and after rides - hard to save the rides you’ve done and it glitches throughout the ride as well
Better than Zwift
Road Zwift for years - level 100. Tried Ful Gaz and never went back. Able to ride the courses I do IRL is a huge help. Also found new routes new home.

Would not let me log in my Mac. One big loop asking for my password every time.
Join in feature
It’s a great app, love the real videos relative to the other competitor app. Would be great to have a live global feature though. It’s boring riding alone.
Constant log-in problems
I’ve used FulGaz for four years and have enjoyed it. However, recent and persistent log-in issues for absolutely no reason make it unreliable. Don’t expect to train, because you’ll get prepped and clipped in and it’ll be asking you login again… and when you try, you’ll get the ‘invalid E-mail/password combination’ message. You’ll then find that you can’t get into your account. Once you’ve gone through the plethora of AI bots and help menus, support may come back to you in a few days. Not much good when you’re paying for it and are unable to train. For this reason, I’m switching Apps and cancelling my Direct Debit.
Not sure
There's good and bad. You can do "ergo' style workouts using the videos which I like a lot. But running the system on an Apple TV, I have to download the video first. This undermines the spontaneity of the system. The App is also a bit clunky on Apple TV though perhaps it's because my TV is quite old. It's a shame that you cannot reliably use it on streaming mode. When I've tried this, the video frustratingly freezes after about half an hour, or less.
Fantastic App
I have been using Fulgaz for 7+ years. The improvements to the app over those years have been amazing. The diversity (scenery, length and intensity) of rides from across the world is phenomenal. Unfortunately, age has caught up with me and I’v reached a point where riding on the highways and byways isn’t so safe for me anymore. The reality of the rides on Fulgaz continues to provide a great substitute.
Worked once, then constant crashes
Completed exactly one ride (with a workout loaded) on Apple TV. The next day, crashed on my iPhone 13 w/ iOS 16.6 three times, and several times on the Apple TV! Saving grace was it crashed each time during the warmup, or I would’ve been really mad. Uninstalling from Apple TV & iPhone - not worth wasting time with support because there is ZERO excuse for crashing. I’ve been a programmer for over thirty years - use proper exception/error handling!!
Great realistic rides around the world!
FulGaz is one of my two main riding apps. The realism and excellent videos are what keeps bringing me back. I can’t ride the gamified apps (Zwift etc), which do nothing for keeping me motivated. I love exploring new countries and trails in Fulgaz - I haven’t had any in-ride glitches for a few months now, all stable, though a while back I couldn’t log in until I restarted the iPad, though this hasn’t happened recently. Five stars if the UI was snappier / I never know whether my “click” was registered until 2 seconds later. Support / Clem has been great, responding within a few hours. Using this on a 2018 iPad Pro 12.9, KICKR v6 and Polar H10. No connection issues.
Won’t download
I have used this app for about 7 years. It was always slow to download rides on the app but now it won’t download at all.
Add Reactive in ERG
App is great, but not being able to enable relative mode for an ERG workout without it distorting the interval time is a DEAL BREAKER
Ride the sunny Dolomites in February from snowy Colorado!
For me, it’s simple — FulGaz provides video workouts that are the best simulation of actual rides. Spin classes and interval workouts certainly have their place — who doesn’t enjoy kicking their own butt for an hour — but the reason we ride is…to ride. Every locale has spots that provide the “agony and the ecstasy” to dedicated cyclists, and Colorado is no different. If you want to know what it actually feels like to ride to the mailboxes on Flagstaff Road in Boulder or up Guanella Pass in Georgetown, put your trainer in Reactive Mode and dial those climbs up in FulGaz. I found the app extremely helpful for a week-long trip to cycle the Dolomites last year. Being able to ride the Stelvio and find the spots where it eases a bit (there aren’t many!), or to ride in advance other steep passes or the Sella Ronda, gave me the confidence to ride those in reality then the time came. I have not experience the connection issues that other reviewers have noted, and would only note that the support staff at FulGaz have worked hard at communicating tips and similar to help subscribers experiencing problems. I highly recommend this app — whether you are a recreational rider or logging 100s of miles/week.
This thing crashes every few seconds.
The app tells you it is probably going to crash in a popup. Could be cool app but it is not stable. Not sure how this gets in the App Store.
Chat is a problem
If I select a ride not knowing it has the chat option, I have supposedly disabled chat, I do not want to download it so then try to come out of it but find I can’t do this, which means I can’t click back to the previous page to choose a different ride, so I have to shut down my iPad and restart before I can get out of the “locked” screen. This is a nuisance for me, all I want to do is ride, not waste time shutting down and restarting my device before I can get going again. Otherwise I enjoy the selection of rides and workouts on Fulgaz.
Old buggy
I’ve had this app for a couple years. It no longer loads sessions when done. Archaic, useless interface with dead buttons, no rewind, I’ve unsubscribed.

Update Norton 360 still flags the app as Malware. Dont the developers practice App Sec?
Sightseeing from the Pain Cave
My wife and I really like seeing other parts of the world from the “pleasure” of our pain cave. Fulgaz is also a great alternative to non-reality platforms like Zwift; it’s a quieter experience for those times when you want less sensory overload. The quantity and types of rides available is outstanding and I really like how Fulgaz sources rides from the public. I’ve contributed over a dozen rides myself. Workouts can be layered over existing rides too, making customized workouts more personal. It’s just a great app., especially on Apple TV. Talk about immersive!
Can’t even get set up
After 20 minutes and resetting 3 times, I gave up. Too many glitches.
Good app no gears.
I have been enjoying the App on my Stages trainer hgowever the gears do not work when using. They only work when I am in the Stages App. Is tere a solution ?? Cheers David Peel
Buggy
The Apple TV version of the app regularly forgets or fails to pick up the Bluetooth heat rate monitor chest straps. I’m using Apple TV 4K with a Kickr bike
Support could be better
Unfortunately I have not been able to use the app that much during my free tiral because I could not get it to work on my macbook. It worked the first time I downloaded it but after that I would get a message about "not finding the executable file." I notified Fulgaz support and the person gave me a general response to loosen up my security settings in Vulnerability and Connection. Which I attempted but it did not help at that time. I also deleted the app/restarted computer/reinstalled the app everytime I made a change to norton settings. I then sent another message asking if they could be more specific (because I am not a computer person) but I never heard from them again. Today I decided to turn off my VPN; delete and reinstall the app and it is now opening with no problem. I'm not sure if this was the solution or if the things I changed in Norton finally allowed the app to work. We will see if it was just a fluke or if it will continue to work. My hope is that it continues to work because so far I like the actual app and want to purchase the yearly membership, but my initial experience with the support has thrown me off a bit. I might give another cycling app a try and see if this app continues to work for me and then decide. FYSA this is what I did in norton in case somebody wants to try (I am not that computer savvy by the way): open Norton app-settings-firewall-application blocking I allowed the Fulgaz app access. Also under Norton app-settings-firewall-connection blocking, I allowed Fulgaz app access. Delete app, restart computer and download app again. Like I said this did not help initially but after turning off my VPN it now works. update: just turned my VPN on again and the app is launching as normal so I guess that doesn't matter, it's weird that the norton settings took so long to work or maybe Fulgaz fixed some bugs, who knows.
Absolutely love FulGaz!
My wife and I are long-time users of FulGaz (about 7 years) and have logged hundreds of rides & thousands of miles. The videos are first-rate (well curated) and cover many geographies around the world. The ride choices are wide and varying from very short rides to very long rides (over 100 miles) so you have great choices for levels of challenge. I’ve only had a couple of technical issues, but FulGaz support is rapid, courteous and clear, and my issues have always been resolved quickly. I have periodically tried other cycle training apps and always come back to FulGaz. That’s not to say other apps are bad, but FulGaz appeals to my personal preferences. They have free full-trial period, and once you get it set up properly, you can get a real feel for the app to see if it suits you. I hope it does because I’ve had such great experiences with it. Give it a try.
Spent an hour diagnosing
At this time not friendly user. No where showing avatar option to perform group rides. Spent an hour reading when I should have been riding. Heart rate not working and no where to see if it’s linked up. Though the courses are nice, I won’t be using this and returning to Zwift.
Overall a good application
Overall very good with beautiful recordings and closer to reality than other apps. I have used with my Mac-book pro which was a great experience however the iPad app was freezing constantly. My internet is about 250 Mbps so i think it could be related to processor capacity.
Crashes on IPhone and on Windows
The idea is awesome. Especially since I’m training for a race….But I downloaded the app on my phone and on my computer and I can’t make it more than three miles into a ride before the game crashes. I also tried downloading the ride and the download kept freezing too. If I can’t get a full ride in without it crashing in my free trial then I’ll be going back to Zwift.
Glitchy and Unreliable
When this App works, it’s great. The videos are really well done and there is a bunch of variety. But, today is the third day in a row that I’m kitted up and sitting in the saddle, while the App crashes over and over. I’ve tried deleting it completely (losing all my downloaded rides in the process) only to get the same results. I’m about to go risk my life in the cold rain where I live, because riding is supposed to reduce my stress not add to it. Used to be a fan.
Dropped Zwift, loving FulGaz
I used Zwift for about 2 years. It’s an ok experience but I think did every route in every world and it got pretty boring after that. It’s good for racing which I didn’t do much of. I switched to FulGaz and couldn’t be happier. The video quality is amazing, especially when choosing 4k. And I can ride all over the world and never repeat a route. All the most legendary routes are there. Last year I planned a trip to the Dolomites and so I previewed some of rides around there. It was pretty magical when I rode up the Passo Gardena in real life after having done it on Fulgaz a couple of times. It was like suddenly being inserted into a movie you’ve watched! I think Fulgaz is better for your brain as well. Instead of using a gaming model to trigger your dopamine system with drops/XP/new bikes, it brings you back to the healthy part of riding: challenging yourself physically in beautiful settings all over the world.

Outdoor inside
Generally, a good app that works for ‘real’ training, without the gameified gimmicks of apps like zwift. There are definitely improvements to be made…first, and easiest, pleeeeaaasssee change the horrible computerised voices available for ‘Bernard’, the virtual training partner. In this era, it should also be possible to select a number of parameters for the vtp, like gender, colour etc.I don’t really care, but many do. There should also be many more sessions available in the ‘workout’ menu. Good value for money, especially the annual subscription, because you can add another user for free
Poor execution
So good in theory but execution just not there. The user experience is unacceptably bad. Creators should focus less on adding rides every week--there are more than enough rides. But it does no good if I can't get any one of them to work. They need to test the app and hire a UX designer already. Also now they are introducing videogame style rides like Zwift? Shaking my head... That's not what people are here for. Not at all FulGaz's competitive advantage. Wish someone else would take over this company already because they have a ton of great content but the app has been floundering for years.
Ride history bug not fixed
The recent update version 4.1.12 that was released to fix the ride history ‘event closed’ bug unfortunately hasn’t fixed the issue.
