I use it for cycling and it’s a great way to get focused and engaged! I love the guided & coached tours. My only complaint is that I wish there were more coached cycling tours since I’ve completed them all. But overall VERY GOOD APP! **please add more/new guided rides then I can rate 5 out of 5**

Wurde als Alternative zu Kinomap installiert. Abo abgeschlossen und letztlich doch nicht die Erwartungen erfüllt. Viele Videos sind meiner Meinung nach mehr für das Laufband und bis auf ein paar wenige aber gute Videos, zum Radfahren geeignet. Die Videos in sehr guter Qualität mit teilweise sehr informativen Beiträgen. Vielleicht kommen ja im laufe eines Jahres noch ein paar erweiterte Videos dazu. Trotzdem ein paar Sterne. Die Qualität ist gut und für den Lauf- Wasser - und Radfahrer , mit Sicherheit eine sehr gute Wahl. Update nach gut 2 Monaten Leider , leider nicht mehr zufrieden. Viele der Videos scheinen KI generiert. Es wird durch Menschen, Gegenstände hindurchgefahren, was den Schluss zulässt, dass die Aufnahmen nicht echt sind. Habe einige Touren auf YouTube verglichen und da bewege ich mich als Radfahrer auf echten Touren. Das Abo wird auf jeden Fall gekündigt. 14. April 2026. Heute eine Mail bekommen bezüglich der Rezension. Danke für die Info. Wenn BitGym mit einer hoch professionellen Software arbeitet, dann sollte doch der Versuch unternommen werden, eine realistische Tour zu bekommen. Die Aufnahmen sind zu Flüssig! Ruderer fahren übrigens Rückwärts und nicht vorwärts in die Szene Auf einer gängigen online Plattform kann ich Radtouren abfahren die keine Super Filmqualität haben aber sehr authentisch sind. BitGym ist ein sehr gutes Programm aber teilweise nicht sehr realistisch.

Like the app and all the choices for scenery. Please figure out the buffering to make airplay better on a TV. Right now it’s very stop and start which is frustrating.

Good! If only could disable coaching
I like the overall quality very much. It would be 5-star if you could disable coaching & allow nature sounds on those workouts . Ideally the coaching video as well, but even just substituting nature sounds for coach-speak would be good. There are a lot of gorgeous looking nature trips that are only coached.

Leider hängen sich die Strecken beim Training oftmals auf, was ziemlich nervt. Wünschenswert wäre auch motivierende Musik zu den Strecken fürs Training. Werde wohl kein Abo abschließen
Could have been great
The quality of the videos is terrific and I would give that 5 stars. I also like that I can follow along the suggested RPE and manually adjust my treadmill. However I cannot immerse myself in the trails because these are not continuous - rather several sites from a location are stitched together. When it jumps to a new scene it is extremely jarring. As an example, I just did a Vancouver one for 35 minutes- had 6 different sites not even contiguous. Jumps from city to park and back again. I have tried 5 other videos and they all do the same thing. I cancelled my free trail for this reason. That is also the reason I can only give the overall rating of 3 stars despite the high quality of the video. As another aside I don’t like that I can’t search particular locations without just scrolling down a list (I.e. can’t search for Greece let’s say have to go down total list to find any). Most other fitness apps have better search function.

This makes me look forward to the treadmill! Please, please, please add more Cardio Coach workouts. I’ve done them so many times that I say Sean’s words before he does! Lol. Please make more. :-)

Beaucoup de potentiel
L’app est vraiment cool pour les gens qui ne veulent pas acheter beaucoup d’équipement ou accessoires juste pour avoir un follow up de tes activités physiques. J’utilise le vélo intérieur pas cher 200$ et avec cette app . Je n’ai pas besoin d’acheter un sensor ou cadencé de vitesse pour savoir la vitesse de ma cadence. Alors cette app me permet de courir dans un univers tranquille . Le seul défaut ce que des fois il se stop lui même ou il ne suit pas vraiment la réalité. Donc , je crois que si on donne le temps au développeur à optimiser cette application. Elle peut être excellente.

Horizon GR7 Spin Bike Problem
Thanks for the new update with additional connection functions… looks great. The manual setting of rpm for video speed is working fine. However on my Horizon GR7 spin bike the sensor does not now connect (recognise) the rider’s peddle rpm. This was working fine on the previous app version…. just wondering if you could review and correct. Many thanks.
Good app, wish they had unguided runs.
The runs are fine, I love that it can tell your speed with the camera. I just dont need a coach talking at me, I want to pleasantly run. Great variety. I use nature sounds on my iPhone but the coach is still distracting.
Great but needs more content
The technology work’s really well on my exercise bike but there are two key issues for me firstly there’s only limited coached activities... needs much more content to be value for money

Update: 6/9 Today I tried again & was able to complete a workout, but still A lot of buffering….. I re-subscribed to this app on 6/30 and got in a few short Workouts..then did update a day or so after and now everything Is terrible….freezing, buffering, tours won’t load, HOWEVER, Free tours without signing in work just fine…so I guess I spent $13.99 for nothing….so disappointing…. I won’t renew unless Something changes.
Elliptical Run
This program has changed my entire run!! I run 4 miles EVERY day, I’m blown away with BitGym!! Incredible a million times!!!❤️
Hmmm....
I found this app and put it on my tablet and phone as the free version looked amazing. The first ride I took was around Paris and tried half the ride. Since then all the rides I have tried have completely frozen my devices, one after only 1 1/2 mins! My tablet is playing the sounds but no movement and it won’t close! Sadly if I can close my tablet I will be removing the app and looking for a different one. I don’t want to as the rides look amazing. Just pleased I didn’t pay.
Nearly Perfect!
I’m not a super-athlete and I’m not very competitive, but I do want to develop a consistent exercise habit. I get bored easily, so when I bought my exercise-bike, I wanted an app that would let me ride in exotic places all over the world, as if I was really there. This app does exactly that! I’ve tried 3 rides so far, and they’ve all been gorgeous. I keep going long past the point where I would have gotten bored and stopped if I was just watching TV. I find this kind of “sightseeing” very motivating and enjoyable. I now look forward to my nightly ride There are a few things missing though. I would like the ability to mark certain rides as favorites, so I can easily find them and do them again. I would like the ability to search the available tours by location, and by how long they are. For example: “show routes in Japan that are 30 minutes or less”. Etc. And I’d like the ability to rate each tour after I’m done, and to see other users’ ratings when I’m choosing my next ride. I hope these features get added in the future, but I still love this app. The HD video and real sound recorded on location are totally immersive. Project onto your TV and you’re riding through an adventure movie! I look forward to even more and better choices with future updates.
Bad music
I’ve just done the guided dinosaur tour and the music almost annoyed me off my bike. I’ve read that “The music is part of the guided tour” but you can’t tell me the “band” recorded in the same room as the tour guide meaning being recorded separate we should be able to turn the crap music off! Other than that I’d love the app. But not being able to get rid of that noise may force me to unsubscribe. As people who are paying you money, we should at least have that option.
price increase problematic
I do think the app works well, not quite as good as more comprehensive fitness apps , but it works. But now, with the price increase, it just doesn’t seem to be something I will use as there are other choices for the same price or cheaper. I have been using BitGym for years and it was always something I would use if I wanted guided exercise. But, alas I will have to rethink my use of the app.
Great for rebounder 'running'
Works great for trail running on a rebounder. All of the gorgeous scenery, none of the joint pain :)
Scam
I subscribed months ago, didn’t enjoy the app & only used it once or twice. They keep taking the subscription money each month from my account & I see no options to unsubscribe (the app has no unsubscribe button).
Watch
All this time, and still no Watch app… I’ve been using this app since 2017, (wow… makes me feel “old” 😝), participated in the beta program during the huge transition to the current layout, and it still baffles me that there is STILL no Watch app. I was so ecstatic when the tv app was released as I was thinking/hoping a watch companion was coming along with it… but, alas, years later, and still nothing. I really love the VERY well-designed, beautifully-made programs and constant updates (which I why I still feel this is the best app over others in this category), but it can get pretty annoying trying to get things syncing precisely. When traveling—and using hotel, or other gym equipment—trying to start your iPhone/iPad, the treadmill, elliptical, etc., AND your watch all at the same time is a feat of acrobatics. Another this I have NEVER been able to get the app to sync with gym equipment either because it’s not compatible, or the location has disabled features to prevent certain functionality… which even more of a reason to have a watch app. I’m not sure what it is with workout apps not making a Watch companion. And, many of the ones that do, half 🍑 it. This is why I love Crunchy Bagel (makers of the ‘Streaks Workout’ app): they have an app for Watch, iPhone, iPad, and tv, and—no matter what device you use—once you open the watch app, it recognizes your other device, you tap on the button to sync, and (during your workout) all your metrics are shown on your watch. When you’re done, everything is synced to the Activity/Fitness and Health apps on any compatible devices. They’ve been doing this since the release of their app years ago (even before Apple introduced the new features when they released Fitness+) and I’m just wondering why no one else is doing it. I really hope this is the year BitGym makes my dreams come true. *[and, hopefully, when I finally get the Apple Vision (Pro), this app’ll be waiting for me there, too!]
Could be great but too expensive
Wow £9.99 a month now ! what a joke . I’ll have to stick with the 10 min free version, shame if it was sensible pricing I would do it makes exercise biking interesting.
Good start
It's a good start but would like to see more. Developers should be able to use Google Map to incorporate me being able to create my own run. Sounds weird but would like to use my own neighbourhood so when I do get outside (after winter) I can really se my progress with time and pace.
Upside down
The app is wonderful but has started open upside down and won’t detect motion without the camera. Can no longer use the app as it opens upside down and won’t reorient correctly 8/25/25 I submitted a ticket to Bit Gym. Aside from Amazon, this is one of the most responsive customer service support I have seen. They have been working on a fix and will have it on the App Store within a day of my initial ticket. Great app, with phenomenal support

Somewhat boring hikes
I thought I would like the quiet of the BitGym trails vs iFIT. With the latter you have nearly continuous banter that is very repetitive and not that informative. In the end, I liked iFIT better BUT I won’t go back until they start adding new hiking trails
App keeps crashing
Oceans ok, but keeps crashing the moment I pay the video. I have yet to hear back from support. Aipad pro App is up to date, iOS up to date 6 videos downloaded. Please please fix
How do I say this...
Awesome concept! Great videos! Two issues I had... it didn't work well with my treadmill setup; I couldn't get the camera to see me properly. Second issue that just happened is that I just got a bill for a subscription, when I only had the free membership. That made me more than unimpressed. Watch your bank statements and receipts from iTunes... FYI, Apple Support was awesome! Thank you!

This app could truly revolutionise the way people loose weight and get fit but the pricing is simply ridiculous, charging practically the same as a well known steaming, free delivery etc etc service is just plain wrong. If it was £1 a month fair enough but £5.99 no thanks. Next.
Great, but with room for improvement!
I really enjoy this app. The locations are amazing and are beautifully filmed. It’s nice to feel that I am walking or cycling in a real location, and this motivates me to exercise. Especially great for when I want to take a relaxing walk and enjoy the scenery! Room for improvement: 1) It would be really helpful to have the app track the distance (in miles and/or km) that I have walked or cycled, or at least tell me the total distance of the trail that I’m on. There’s no information on this, even though it is tracking my time and speed. I don’t want to do math at the end of my walk, and would also love to easily view the distance I walked when I check my history. 2) I would like to be able to filter trails by distance/time. I know there are check points, so I could technically stop whenever and pick it back up. However, I like the satisfaction of being able to complete a trail! The time estimate also hasn’t been accurate for me, and you can imagine that the time would not be the same if I was cycling vs. walking a particular trail. I feel it would be a big improvement if it was sorted by miles and km. 3) When I try to mirror the app onto the TV, it lags a lot. Other apps work fine when mirrored, so I don’t think the issue is on my end. I’ve had to stick to using my iPad for BitGym, but would love to see the beautiful views on a bigger screen! I wonder if the issue has to do with the app pausing on the iPad when it mirrors onto the TV? Most apps will continue to run on both devices at the same time, so I can look at either the iPad or the TV. 4) BitGym says it will connect to Apple Health and gives an option to turn this on under “Profile”. I’ve done this, but data isn’t transferring like it does from other apps. I would also love to be able to connect to Strava and Garmin Connect. This is where I track most of my workouts. 5) I would love a section in the app that shows which trails I have started, but not completed. This way, if I do want to pick up at a checkpoint, I can easily find the trails that are partway finished. (I also would like seeing a section in the app for completed trails, in case I want to more easily find a trail I have already done before! It’s also satisfying to view what I have accomplished!!) I hope some of this feedback is helpful, and I hope it doesn’t seem too critical. I just notice things that could improve my experience, and that I imagine other users could also appreciate! Thank you for this app and for making it available to those of us who don’t have super fancy equipment!! Best wishes! :)
Incessantly initialises
Graphics are great but I can never finish a course as it always stops part way through to initialise but never resumes. For the amount spent I am NOT happy with this app.

Good way to pass the time on a rainy day
Not a fan of the price for a peloton and other similar apps. I can’t say that I am a big fan of the stationary bike. When I can’t get outside in nature for a run, walk, or ride, this is my go-to app. The coach mode really helps me push my level and encourages me to get in a real workout. Without it, I think I would not push myself nearly as hard. Camera sensor does an ok job of tracking my pace but not required. I like to mirror my phone to the tv so I can see nature on the larger screen. It almost feels like I am riding outside. I like how they keep adding more scenes but would like to see more! If you need help taking shots of the great outdoors, give me a call! Would love to have a way to upload my own scenes.
Keeps freezing at about the 16 minute mark
I've had this app for about 6 months. At over $10 a month, you would expect a stable, reliable program. For the past couple of weeks, the app keeps freezing at about the 16 minute mark....very frustrating. If not resolved soon, I will be cancelling my subscription.

I LIKE it!
Getting bored looking at the wall while I’m sweating it out on my old Schwinn recumbent, so I tried Fitness+. Meh. Onscreen stats are cool, but the urban warehouse/gym with trainers yelling at me constantly isn’t my thing. Peloton app looks to be more of the same. Tried BitGym - NOW we’re talking! I miss my Apple Watch stats, but riding through virtual outdoor locations with only occasional trainer prompts (which are sometimes actually helpful) is right up my alley. I was skeptical about the app getting my rpm’s via the iPad camera but SURPRISE! They’re solid and within 1 or 2 rpms of the on-bike readout. I’d give it 4.5 stars - My wishlist: a way to see my Watch stats onscreen, a way to rate individual workouts (just for me) so I could build a list of places to revisit or avoid.

Best of the indoor cycle apps I’ve tried (3)
I’ve tried 3 different indoor cycle apps and so far this is the best. The real outdoor scenery, the background music, and most importantly the quality of the real time coaching are all superb. One minor gripe: I had to deduct one star because the coach referenced disgraced cheater Lance (yellow jersey, you know who I’m talking about) as a motivational tool at one point, and I’m sorry but in that moment it just galled me rather than inspired me. Otherwise, I do find the coaching excellent and the app’s ability to utilize my tablet’s camera to monitor me eliminates the need for extra add ons. Extra add ons to connect to the app may provide more accurate feedback, I don’t know, but, in my estimation the app is doing at least a fairly (if not wholly) accurate job tracking my effort, just accessing my camera.
Great app but pricey
It motivates you to keep going and challenges you to be a better biker but unfortunately I find it too expensive. The monthly fee is too high for me to justify using the app right now. There needs to be something in between.
Requires wifi to start
This app relies on Wifi connection to get started which is tricky if your gym doesn't have wifi. Best to set it up at home and download offline some of the tours.
