I was a fan of Wim Hoff and used to have his android app which had unlimited breathing exercises. I was upset that besides that it was all things that you had to pay for and was very disappointed when using this app I found that you only get five breathing exercises a month. To the Wim Hof company: If you ever rethink your policies about how you treat the less fortunate maybe I will respect your business. Darkness.

Guided breathing used to be free
Very sad to see that the guided breathing which used to be free is behind a paywall. I understand that it costs money to keep everything running but I believe it’s in Wim’s interest to have the most basic exercise available for as many people as possible. I was a regular practitioner on the app and even reached a retention time of past 4 minutes. After basically everything was made unavailable unless you buy into a subscription (which is probably where our society is headed now) I stopped doing it. Very sad to see how greed even reached this movement.
I do like this app and the WHM
I think it inspires a lot of people and helps a lot of people. I have done the breath work most days for a couple of years now. What I do is a couple of rounds to get the breath into the body then use a different app for a more relaxing and deep breathing exercise as I believe the deeper, slower breathing that is more conscious and paced is much more healing and really gets into many levels of your being! I think the WHM breathing is good for charging the body up but not necessarily for relaxing. Perhaps you could introduce some relaxing breathing exercises to the app too?

Hello all!!! I’ve been following Wim for 3+ yrs now and this app keeps me motivated to keeping doing my cold therapy, breathing and push ups!!! I love being able to see my progress!!

Good But Missing 1 thing
I love Wim and have been doing the 3,4,5 rounders on YouYube for years. All this app needs is an easy to select ,4,5 rounders without all the customization. I don’t want to have to tap my phone to go through phases.
Leider sehr fehlerhaft
Leider kann ich diese App nicht empfehlen. Ich habe diese nun seit einem Jahr und bin zwar nur ein unregelmäßiger Nutzer, allerdings hat diese App immer wieder Probleme. Immer wieder kommt es zu abstürzen oder fehlerhaften Funktionen. Trotz der regelmäßigen Updates habe ich nicht das Gefühl, dass es besser wird. Sehr sehr schade, da ich die Übungen eigentlich sehr schätze.
Good app, buying a breathing program doesn’t mean getting free access to tools that belongs to it
The app looks good, it is appealing, very functional and easy to use. But since the new update I have to buy a subscription for the Guided Breathing tool. Getting money out of it, that could be a topic to talk about. However what I don’t like is that I also bought the breathing program and still have to pay for it, although we can get 5 free guided breathing turns each month, for me it is doing to much. So 3 stars is more a subjective opinion than an objective one

Would love a cheaper tier I just use the guided breathing with the retention timer I really enjoy the music and wims voice
Lied about free trial
I chose to do the week free trial and be charged the yearly subscription after the week was over but instead was charged the full year immediately. I’ve contacted their support email but haven’t heard anything yet. The app really doesn’t offer anything besides a few videos from Wim Hof.
Great, but a little pricey for something so basic
I enjoy the practice but the fee is quite expensive for what it is.
The good and bad
I’ve been using the app for almost 3 years. Love the entire Wim Hof experience. I haven’t missed a day of breath work in almost a year. Mediation, cold showered and ice dips, the learning classes, love it all! Now the bad. The app has proved unreliable for tracking progress. As of now it has stopped populating my streaks in the breath hold. It has lost all my bagged. This is the third time it’s happened over almost 3 years. I have contacted support but so far no resolution. I gave it 2 stars because an average app 3 stars probably wouldn’t keep loosing my history.

The best
This is one of the best apps ever created. I started using it during the pandemic and noticed a huge difference in my breathing and overall mood. The cold showers are awesome as well. With proper breathing control, you can really learn how to stay calm, control your breathing, and handle stress much better.
Rapid Decline
I’ve been a subscriber for a good few years and use the app daily. Sadly, with every update the user experience declines. The latest update seems to have completely throttled the performance to the point it’s becoming unusable. The loading screen now takes ages and it seems to be hit or miss if the results update. The streaks don’t register (there’s no need for the gamification anyway) consistently. Doubt I’ll be renewing again if it stays this way. Strip out all the unnecessary stuff (streaks, badges etc) and get back to what the app was all about, breathing, exercise guides and access to the e-learning.
Main techniques chargeable
The basic main breathing techniques is chargeable after 5 uses. That’s a bit disappointing.
Schlechter geworden
Sobald ich die Lautstärke der Musik für die Retentionsphase verändere, übersteuert die Musik komplett. Nur eine Neuinstallation der App macht diese wieder nutzbar. Wenn sich das nicht bessert, kündige ich mein Abo und sehe mich nach Alternativen um.
Needs tweaking
Retention timer is great but the Reset & Save buttons areTOO BIG👉Accidental touches mess up my session & the only way to save a record of it is to run the timer again, that is, if I noted my times B4 they were lost. Please shrink these buttons & make a way to add in times without having to run the timer again

Pretty much all paywalled
Downloaded this after watching WHM youtube videos that advertised free resources and breathwork on the app. Most things are only accessible if you pay, most importantly the guided breathwork sessions/timer; you only get five sessions a month(?!). This really should be a free feature if you want people to use the app and even consider subscribing in future. I have now deleted and may as well just stick to youtube for free.

I used to do this when I was bored in highschool; pretty effective for a cheap high. Thanks WimHoff!

The new update has the same issue. It wasn’t fixed. When logging exercises you still can’t log anything via the calendar. Just need the ‘Log Exercise’ tab to be put back into the individual calendar days so you can log multiple exercises for that date. Currently, you have to do it through the exercise and change the date every single time.

The stats don’t update properly
I do my breathing exercises every morning, and I enjoy the App but the stats, including the bar chart don’t update regularly and there are gaps.
Great app, not well implemented quite Buggy
Love this app, love the concept, gamification, personal challenges and functionality. Let down by application, quite a few bugs, glitchy and clumsy in operation which is a shame.
Disappointed
The guided breathing was free. Now only available through a monthly subscription. I think a one time fee is more appropriate

Since I have started to use the Wim Hof Method app I have had noticeable improvement in my mood, sleep, focus, concentration, and overall feeling of wellness! I am a family medicine physician and have recommended this app to many of my patients as a tool to improve their health.

Great app but!
It’s a great app, Wim, but by updating it I lost all my previous year’s data. All the hours of retention, personal records, etc. So sad.
Fehlerhaft
Ich benutze die App seit über 2 Jahren. Für die Atemübung ganz praktisch aber die aktuelle Version speichert die Übungen nicht korrekt und dem Support ist das egal. Toll ist die App nicht, ziemlich langweilig… 👎
A little sad
I am so heartbroken the guided breathing exercise now has to be paid for. I have loved this app for so many years but am so sad I don’t have access to this simple aspect of the app anymore :(
Healing
Starts working day 1. I can literally feel the oxygen going to the places in my body that needs the healing the most. The best thing is just about anyone can do this method no matter what condition your body is in.
Poor UI and UX
The app has got progressively worse over the years. Keep it simple, ditch all the gamification, hire a decent designer and focus on the key feature - guided breathing - that is the only thing worth paying for.
Wish guided breathing was fully free
Only a few per month and it was the only reason I got this app although they are fully customizable

Bei den begleitenden Atmenübungen sind die Übergänge abrupt. Keine Vorankündigung was kommt. Auch keine Anleitung wenn es los geht. Das gleiche nach dem Eisbad. Plötzlich hört das Programm auf, obwohl man noch nicht fertig ist. Mir gefällt die App daher nicht
Latest Update interface a step back
Been doing Wim Hof breathing exercise for 3 years now. I love it. However, the update I just got overnight is a step back for the app. I use the retention timer daily. Now the ‘start’ and ‘stop’ buttons are tiny it makes it really hard. When you’ve been holding your breath for 3 minutes it really helps to have a nice big button like it was in the previous version. Maybe the developer is Amy actually using it as that would explain it.

Update Screwup
I have been a subscriber for about 5 years. The latest (Jul 25) update to the app is a mess - I am very annoyed.
New Content
I just purchased the premium for this app. I like all the exercises and challenges being offered. Just wondering if I should be expecting new content (i.e., more meditations, podcasts, exercises etc.) because I found I was able to explore all the premium offerings rather quickly. I was surprised to see only one meditation. That being said, I will continue to remain subscribed. I love some of the features offered. Would also like to suggest if it’d be possible to customize the exercise schedule feature. Rather than only having set challenge schedules, it would be nice to make daily challenge schedules with customized routines based on the individual. Thank you.
New Update introduced lots of bugs
Sync to Apple Health looks strange. Duration of meditation looks weird - it’s just too short. Heart rate used to be aligned with breathing cycle now it looks odds. Wims voice is out of snyc with breathing cycle. Pls fix.
Good app, but even if you subscribe you don’t get all!
I purchased the full course and now I can’t use the guided breathing, it needs an annual subscription… a shame that everything is so commercial. Far away from the WH spirit…
