Needs iOS app
I purchased an OBD links MX plus to do proxy alignment on my Chrysler 200 with the alpha app, but I had to use my android tablet to actually connect to the modules with the alpha app this OBD links app sync up perfectly to show me everything else though it’s like having one of those big fancy scanners just on my phone it did everything I needed to do couldn’t have asked for anything else
Very unintuitive
Very unintuitive, just a note if users create a graph they most likely want to export it as a csv as well. Makes no sense why they show us a tiny graph that you can’t export. Also hire a real UI designer.
CarPlay
Would love to see this app available for CarPlay.
Unable to clear trouble codes
It used to be able to do this, but now for some it reason it cannot. On the exact same vehicle, with the exact same trouble codes. I physically fixed the problem (it was a dead spark plug, but I cannot fix the code—the app just hangs.
Still Missing Advanced Diagnostics for BMW and VW
One of the better OBD apps but it’s missing crucial Advanced Diagnostics for BMW Group and VW Group vehicles so can’t recommend. Also the route tracking it’s very buggy and broken. Performance measurements are a cool feature though.
Great Value
I needed additional parameter monitoring for an intermittent engine problem I was having that my basic OBD scanner couldn’t provide. Exceeded my expectations. Love it! I had a question I sent to product support and got a super fast response as well. Thanks!
Useless
Incredible useless app, spent 150 dollars on their obd adaptor just to be able to do nothing with it through their app. I will return the device!
Gages
Works just right excellent app. The only problem is it is difficult to get the gauges you want all on the same page.
Only 11 bit PID IDs are supported
Only supports 11 bit PID IDs. So won’t work with any EV’s or any other vehicles other than the standard SAE PIDs. Does Support some manufacturer specific PID’s, check the website to see if yours is on the list.
Good app needs improvement
This is a functional and capable app. It’s great for pulling and clearing trouble codes. Where it’s lacking is when you want to display real time engine data. You will only get the gauges displayed on your phone. You can not get it to display on your head unit because this app does not support Apple CarPlay. For an app you only use in your car to not support Apple CarPlay is completely missing the mark.

Nice app
Garbage for Hyundais
I’m trying to use this app alongside my OBDLink MX+ to read ATF temps in order to make sure the level is correct per Hyundais directions, but even with advanced diagnostics for Hyundais enabled I can’t find it after searching for 20+ minutes. Installed Car Scanner and was able to find the value within 3 minutes.
Mode 6 Data is not Sorted Correctly
Overall, I like the reliable Bluetooth connection and chart selection and customization ability. You can realistically display 8 small charts on your screen (you can add more smaller charts, but it may be too small to view). However, the On-Board tab (Mode 6) of the Monitors section is very hard to read because of the way it is sorted. The data is sorted by Component ID (CID) instead of Test ID (TID) or Monitor ID (MID). Depending on the vehicle, CID is a subset of both TID and MID.
NO OBDLink LX support
Very sad they don’t support all their own products on the iPhone!
Really great Adapter and software - lacks Volvo SPA mode 22 add on
Really great and reliable stuff folks. The lack of a Volvo hybrid SPA platform mode 22 add on is extremely disappointing. Would be a HUGE value add for arguably the best selling overall platform in history.
Great app
Great app, does everything I wanted it to do + more. Still getting to understand it, but it shows metrics and fault codes. I use it in conjunction with ChatGPT to understand better and be more prepared when bringing it to a mechanic if there are any issues.
Terrible OBD2 Reader, good for bidirectional use
Bought this because its bidirectional, does that job just fine. This OBD2 is not reliable to tell me what the codes are on my ram1500. im looking at lit a lit up dashboard of alarms and the app is saying theres no active codes. Brought out my other, old cheap, obd2 reader and it immediately told me theres 4 active codes. Mx+ is trash obd2 reader. not reliable and only good for bidirectional, not diagnostics. Shame.
Just learning how to use this OBDII tool
Had it for 2 hours and played with it on 3 vehicles so far, the live data is awesome, should’ve gone wireless a long time ago!
Paired once on IOS then stopped connecting.
Paired the first time I tried on iPhone but wouldn’t reconnect. Had to delete app, delete adapter from Bluetooth connections in iOS settings, restart phone, reinstall app, then pair adapter again.
Alarm
There is an alarm at 55 mph and I can’t turned off.
Great gaget
It’s been a pretty good scan tool at this point you can see a lot of the things you need to see out of such a simple device. This is a very handy tool. I used to have to buy an expensive scope to do what this does gray tool.
Won’t Connect
Won’t connect to Windows laptops or computers. Tried everything and wasted a lot of time and money. Connects to iPhone just fine, but you can’t do anything of significance with it.
Fonts
Would love the ability to use custom fonts for dashboards so they closely match OEM gauges
Update is garbage
Since the update this app is so buggy and loses connectivity.
Great code reader/ scanner but missing functions
This is a great app for reading and clearing codes and even live data. Unfortunately with cars today, you really need the ability to do special functions such as ABS brake bleeding, KOEO/KOEO tests, electronic e-brake, reset functions, KAM clearing and more. Will these abilities be available in the future (even at a cost for a pro version)?

Great unit
Great unit but for has additional app that I still need to download to unit. The Bluetooth system is great no problems with IOS running program. Amazon did not mention it has the ability to do 0-60 time 1/4 mile times it was like a great bonus all in one.
No reported fixes 😥
I bought the OBD Link MX+ to upgrade from my bluedriver device, but unfortunately no frequently reported fixes are available like the bluedriver device. If this feature was available it would definitely be superior.
CarPlay
To echo other reviewers, please add CarPlay support. It would greatly increase the usefulness of this app to be able to view gauges on your head unit.
Obdlink mx + is amazing
Thanks to this machine and app it is helping me diagnose all the electrical problems on my jeep. This has been a bigger helped than the other OBD scanners I’ve had.

Powerful and stable
Great app! There are a ton of options for organizing and changing the look of live data, and the app has always been stable for me. It connects and typically stays connected, with just the occasional hiccup. I enjoy the feature where you can set the ranges and enable alerts outside of a given range. This is an excellent option for a live data dashboard on your phone.
Keeps disconnecting
I've had zero issues with this app for years. All of a sudden this past weekend it will work for a while then disconnect for no reason! I've deleted and reinstalled the app and completely erased the pairing between the phone and the dongle and it's still doing it! Might be time for something else....that works consistently!
Needs CarPlay support
The app is really powerful and well designed. I only have 2 issues: 1) it seems to have a difficult time connecting sometimes whereas the Car Scanner app connects every time, and 2) there’s no CarPlay support yet.
Does not stay connected
I very rarely give a bad review. However, I must write my first. I was very excited to buy my dongle for an outrages price of $99. When others are much cheaper. Then I paid $15 for the Pro version of dash command. So, needless to say I was very excited to try it all out. It hooked up in a matter of minutes with no issues. Ran my tests no problem. Then I launched the free version of OBD2 Link and Dash Command, Separately of course. The best I can get is maybe five minutes at a time before it disconnects. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. It is very annoying as when I'm driving around trying to monitor my gauges, speedometer and stuff like that it just disconnects. And then does not reconnect unless I go back and click on the Wi-Fi signal again. Then go back into the app and click on connect and wait most times I have to do it two or three times. Stupid me, was so excited I picked up a used tablet just so I could have a decorative display for inside my car. The form is riddled with reports of connection issues. For me I am very disappointed not only in the app as it is not customizable but also in mostly for the product itself. My only hope along with others is that at some point this will be resolved. It would also be nice to be able to create an actual hotspot that my phone could then read from but if I'm using the dongle I am limited to that Wi-Fi signal only which prevents me from using some other apps at the same time while driving This concludes my review

Not working fully
Has worked for years… but recently, can seem to get oil temp and rpm… I use the app for a Ford 6.0 where we need to monitor the delta (difference) between oil temp and water temp, so oil temp is kinda important. I must say their customer service is pretty good though because I suggested having another gauge that calculates the difference between oil temp and water temp and displays the difference in degrees… we did communicate back and forth for a while, but nothing came of it… but it seemed like they were trying.
Wish it were a CarPlay app
Over the last decade I’ve used quite a few OBDII apps. Some, like this and Carista are for use with their own Bluetooth dongle. Others work with any OBDII reader. This is one of my favorites. Given the dashboard of gauges they provide, this would be great as a CarPlay app. I’m not sure if the decision to not make this a CarPlay app lies with the developer or with Apple’s CarPlay program.
Some what disappointed
As an iO user, I'm somewhat disappointed in the connectivity between the app and the OBD MX wifi. Hope they find a fix, seeing they are reportedly been working on a fix for a year, I don't like my chances.
Initial set up complicated
The initial set up is cumbersome as it requires internet access after connecting to the MX Wifi SID for registration. Setting preferences to show dashboard has default page also shows a programatic error message about missing object instance references. Software works as expected otherwise.

STILL - Latest Update Causes Random Disconnects
Hoped the latest update would make OBDLink reliable again, but still loses link regularly. Sometimes have to reboot everything to get connected again. Using with an iPad Mini 5, has been very reliable for years but the latest update causes random disconnects from the OBDLink MX+. Will bump to when that is fixed.
Enable App on Carplay
Great App! Would love to have access to these gauges on my Carplay system in the Truck! Possible update for the near future?

Si je donne seulement un 3 étoiles c’est parce que l’application est un peu compliquer a comprendre mais c’est surtout dû au fait que la traduction est souvent mauvaise. Des fois les menus sont en espagnole ou e anglais alors que je veux avoir le tout en français mais si on exclue tout sa c’est une bonne application et c’est problème risque, je l’espère, de disparaitre dans les prochaines mise a jours.
