Centering Prayer
My husband and I have practiced Centering Prayer for over a decade. It is a wonderful way to find peace and a closeness to God. We highly recommend this practice. ✝️
Horrible
The sound doesn’t work, there’s no settings to adapt for the prayers or music to be heard. Other than the bongs.
Love it but desire one new feature
Like my silent prayer practice itself, I have used this app often for a long time, but more recently started using it every day. It’s wonderful! I love everything about it except for its inability to let me write in anything speaking to my heart for the opening and closing prayers, including my sacred word, my own prayers or scripture selections. I so wish and pray for that improvement, but otherwise everything about the app is perfect for me. Thank you so much for this wonderful blessing! 🙏🏼
A Blessing with Room to Grow
I really enjoy using this app; it’s been such a blessing, and I find myself using it often. To make the experience even better, I’d love to see two improvements: • It would be wonderful if the opening and closing thoughts could be read aloud, so I can keep my eyes closed and fully reflect. • It would also help if the text size could be increased, since the current font feels quite small. These changes would make the app even more accessible and enriching.
My Anchor
The app is easy to use, basic enough that it’s not overwhelming, and serves it’s purpose well. I’ve been using it for my centering prayer sessions for years now.
Gratitude
I express my gratitude for the way this app has been set up, allowing me to choose readings and prayers as I prepare for, participate in and conclude time in contemplative prayer. It’s inviting and provides a simple structure and process to be with God and God’s creation. Blessings on all who participate in Centering Prayer and the earth community that is touched by those who meditate. 🙏
Nearly perfect
I like the minimalist format; the timer and tone options; and the overall function. It is very helpful. The one thing I would like added is background options that are plain and dark, to allow for better contrast in reading the prayers. I find no way to turn off the available backgrounds.
Go to each day!!! (Twice!)
This app is so personal—offering individual settings and beautiful choices. Prayers are Universal and Creative. Designed for use by individuals and groups. Able to be carried wherever and whenever the moment comes for enriching my intention to RE-Mind myself.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!
This app is not a Christian app, this is new agism guising itself as Christian!
Needs upgrade
I am using the app daily and enjoying it, however, it is in need of an upgrade to allow user customization. I have favourite opening closing prayers that I would like to add to the app, but the app does not allow this.
Love it!
Simple and functional prayer app based on the writings of Thomas Keating. It helps me engage with the Lord each day.
Contemplative Outreach
A good program and a great app. My one minor complaint is that meditation periods do not show on the Apple Health App.
Centering Prayer App
This App does help me to make Centering Prayer a daily prayer practice. So many of the Beginning and Closing prayers inspire me that I rotate them periodically. There are days when I need to adjust the time interval. I am grateful for the gift of this App and the leadership of all the contemplative souls who contribute to our access.
Very Good Centering Prayer App
Thank you for this new app! The length of the songs for intro and ending are just right for me, not too short & not too long. However the selection is a little wanting ... something softer & more melodic such as Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" would be perfect. With this enhancement I can give it 5 stars ❤️
Each day
If my day starts in a flurry and I don’t take this time to BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD my day just doesn’t go right.
Encouraging
Helps me to focus and stay on track
Simple and Inspiring
This app provides basic guidance and helps me pray and meditate daily. I love that you can pick quotes from the scripture to begin and end.
A transformative tool!
This app has been the perfect aid to begin a personal journey into meditation. It's not complex or robust, but it's elegant, straight forward, and free. I appreciate the basic instructions, the calming bowls to start and end the sessions, and the ability to set any duration.
Great app, has all the features I need
This app is wonderful- it’s got audio cues to let you know when to begin and end your practice. It also allows you to pause in case you need to stop for any reason. The app also stays on, so if you are worried about the phone turning off and then you’re just sitting in silence for too long - that won’t happen! I love all the audio cues and the fact you can add scripture or psalms or even quotes from saints before and after your practice. This is a must-have app for all centering prayer folks! I’m using it twice a day this Lenten season and loving it.
Practical and Helpful
Using this app has helped me stay on track. I could use a few more options for prayers but overall the best meditation app for me. I've tried others and I like the options for this. Would recommends or anyone wanting a faith-based meditation or prayer app.
Great resource
I like the choices this Ap provides for starting and ending sounds, for starting and ending reflections, and even for screen background theme.
Meditation tool
Thank you for creating such a useful tool. I use it everyday.
Focus on what matters
This app helps me feel closer to God. I combine the practice with a few more apps and helps make the week way less stressful
Good new addition
This app is both beautiful and works well. The readings are a nice addition to this meditation timer. One helpful addition would be the option to automatically rotate through the readings.
