I'm sure the content is great but wherever it asks you to write something, the 'next' button disappears. I bought this app because I'm in pain but all this app has done is reinforce my belief that nothing works for me.
I really want to use this, but…
The first lesson says it takes 30-45 minutes, the actual lesson is 12mins and then tells you to “go to the brain preparation section next”. Where is this?

Don’t Bother
The explanation on how the app works is 3 videos that last about 10 minutes total where the woman says the same 8 buzz words around 7,936 times. She just repeats herself but rearranges the order of the words so it sounds interesting. It’s “based on science” but gives no scientific data, sources, or even a single example. Don’t waste your time downloaded, it’s 10 minutes I’ll never get back.
Update
Can you please make the Remind button more accessible for IOS. Its hidden under the keyboard and it takes several attempts to tap it to execute, save and move on to the next day.
unable to Register!
When I hit the Register button or the link in the Text (under the Login field) the App crashes immediately! metadata: Latest iOS and App Version 3.0. Also re-installing the App did not help.
Not receiving Notifications App is Crashing
I think the Neurocycle is a great program and it has helped me but the only problem I have is I’m not receiving notifications of my active reach in the Notification Center. All of my settings to allow notifications are on, I reset and updated my phone and the problem still persist. The app crashes when I go to history or edit my profile it crashes. Also think that the mini cycles should count towards the 63 days.
Worth it!
Highly recommend! Anyone willing to put in the work to do the Neurocycle will gain something from it. I’m grateful for the tools and skills I have been learning along this journey. Thank you Dr. Leaf!
3 Day Trial is a lie
I assumed I'd actually get to use the app in some limited form for 3 days to try it out. But no after creating an account i was presented with intro videos that couldn't play. And all functionality is locked behind a subcribe for continued access popup! Hilariously, this subcribe to unlock popup dares claim "first 3 days free". Yes they're free if you don't want to actually do anything! I registered with a different email then my icloud account maybe that's the issue? But if it is, please add a error message for this. I did end up subscribing, which then mentions some 3day free trial 🤯 That's not how a free trial works! The free trial should start after i make an account but before I subscribe otherwise it's a lie.

This technique is really amazing. However after starting a new cycle I can’t go pass through the first steps of writing the 3 toxic thoughts. That’s frustrating!
Sadly I can’t login on the app
Hello, I can’t begin on the app as I’m unable to Login. As soon as I type my password and submit the screen goes blank orange and remains that way. I’ve been trying for hours. A little disappointed but here I am reaching out for help. Please assist. Not sure where else to ask? Thanks
Could be great with a few minor tweaks
The app on iPhone SE 2020 running iOS 15.5 is VERY slow to respond when pressing any button. I also think three day trial is not really enough to help decided whether to purchase a (rather high) subscription.

I started the Neurocycle app after listening to Dr. Leaf’s interview on the Mel Robbins podcast back in December. I was facing some pretty challenging circumstances in my life and found myself getting to a very dark place where I was losing all hope. I started to doubt that I would ever find joy or peace again. I would ruminate constantly… a spiral of negativity I couldn’t seem to stop. I was angry all the time and would be having these mental fights with other people in my mind all day. It felt like I was losing control and didn’t know how to find my way back. The 63 day Neurocycle changed everything. I started seeing where and when these patterns started and why they were suddenly triggered so intensely now. And as I saw these things, everything started to make sense. Even though the emotional and physical reactions in my body still happened for quite awhile, their sting lessened and I started to feel like I was regaining control. Today I have a sense of calm and joy that is unlike anything I’ve ever known before. This process has opened my eyes to other areas in my life where I can apply these methods to find even greater freedom and peace. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Leaf for giving me back …me.
Glitchy app
I was charged $16.04 for an app that doesn’t work properly. I have emailed customer service twice with no response. The app will not allow me to advance past Day 1. The lack of tech support is unacceptable.
A practical guide to changing your brain
The content is insightful and instructive. It is helpful to have a guided process to assist with the discipline of getting control over your thoughts. The app itself could use some improvement as I have never been able to successfully get a notification to work. After the first 20 days or so, the area to edit your active reach is clumsy and I found that consistently frustrating. Content is amazing. App needs some reworking
Disappointed and pseudo-scientific
I suffer from Bipolar Disorder and thought that the neurocycle app would help me in managing my condition. Firstly, I read the book “Clean up your mental mess” before purchasing the app and my suspicions were initially aroused when the author took a very subjective stance against the use of psychotropic medication for treating mental illnesses. This is not only ignorant but also dangerous. Most mental illnesses have a clear physiological component to them and blatantly denying this is both heretical and unscientific. Nonetheless, I then purchased the app but I found the 5 step neurocycle to be confusing and unclear. The hallmark of any creative solution to a problem lies in its simplicity. The 5 step neurocycle seems simple at first glance but it is frustrating and convoluted in practice. I did the first 21 days of the programme but gave up out of frustration because I actually felt worse than before I started the programme. I have gone back to mindfulness meditation which offers a much better solution to managing mental health challenges. There is also infinitely more peer reviewed scientific evidence supporting mindfulness than the 5 step neurocycle process. I am sure Dr. Leaf’s work will resonate with many people but in my experience, this is pseudo-science.

NOT A FREE APP
They don’t tell you how much the use of the app is until after you go through the process to download it. You’re unable to access the resources until you “subscribe” agreeing to a monthly charge. Very misleading and ironic given that it’s advertised as help for your anxiety. Having to navigate all the deceptive practices on-line is anxiety provoking, so great job Neurocycle
Finally unstuck & now transformed
After more than a decade of routine protocol for mental health/illness recovery, I found myself trudging around a familiar mountain - feeling more discouraged and stuck than ever. It was divine timing that brought Dr. Caroline Leaf and her 63-day Neurocycle process into my life. In short order the toxic roots of my thoughts were uncovered & processed - the app was a vessel that completely changed the trajectory of my demise. I now feel in control of my thoughts & am no longer stuck in the trenches of negative spiraling. I have hope again and have learned valuable lifelong skills that no other program or course has ever offered me. I feel heard, seen and valued. It has been almost one year since I competed my first 63-day cycle and there is no turning back. The app became a welcome tool in my daily life, filled with easy to follow guidance and resources. There were a few hiccups with the app along the way - which is why I gave it a 4 star rating - however there have been many updates since then. I’m eager to try another cycle soon.
So frustrating
The content of this app is absolutely brilliant, and has really helped me make some changes and understand myself BUT but the app itself is so annoying. It’s clunky and unintuitive, as well as being expensive. The design is linear so it’s hard to go back and review things. The first 21 days is ok, but after that you can’t fill in a text boxes because it’s obscured by the iPhone keyboard! The daily reminders don’t work. You’re never sure whether you are on the right day or not because it automatically advances you to tomorrow immediately after you click done. Such a shame because I just love the work and the practice.

Can’t register
Every time I touch the register button the app crashes.
Very Helpful but Metacog Example Needed
During a difficult period in my life, Caroline Leaf’s Neurocycle App was helpful & encouraging to help re-focus my thoughts and provide understanding and direction on our complex way of thinking that can affect us so much when negativity and confusion consumes us. While the information was extremely helpful, the setting out of the metacogs have been very confusing to me. An example of a 21 day metacog would be extremely helpful.
New update has lost all my progress.
I was really loving this app but the new update a day or so ago has lost all my progress and it keeps making me start my neurocycle from Day 1 even though I was up to Day 10. It’s a bit tedious having to click next through 6+ videos for each day to get back to wherever I was up to.
Payment not made clear!
I started the program, and was always confused about when I would have to start paying. It seemed like perhaps this would be after day 21. So I spent the time going through the first few days, only to try to get to day 3 and all of a sudden I couldn’t access it. Initially I thought there must be a fault with the app, but no it seems like you get 3 days access and then you have to pay. The $69 a year isn’t really an issue, but it’s the fact it’s not communicated to you first. The content itself is promising.

I really want to try this app because I already finished reading the book and every time I try to register the app crashes. And there is no way around it. Please fix so I can become a happy customer!
Mind changing app
I’ve done two cycles and each time I got to the root of those limiting beliefs and feel like my life experience has changed for the better.
Awesome and aweful at the same time
Dr Leaf 5-step method is awesome and I love the content. It’s really helpful and learning. However, the app is terrible since it keeps crashing, hanging up, loose data/history, which makes it impossible to get continuity, which in turn is the fundamental principle of this method. Such a shame for such a great content.
Liked the online versions better
I feel the first 21 day detox on line was better than the app. Dr. Leaf moves to slow and gives more information which takes away from doing the actual steps. Which is very annoying if you are already family with using the first program before. The videos were better than just the audio and I often don’t know if she is done speaking as she is talking so slow. This is going to be my second attempt with the 21 day program and I hope I can go through it again without feeling the app is making me go slower than necessary.
The only thing that has worked for me.
For decades now, I have tried different modalities, without sustained success. The guidance from Dr.Leaf is uncanny. As I have gone through the first 21 days, which has actually taken me about three months, I have been astounded by what she is saying correlating exactly with what I am feeling that day. I am in my mid 60s and this has been incredibly life altering and joy giving for me.

This app is so easy to follow, I only ran into problems with my own mind and finding it a bit overwhelming to process everything but will keep trying! Would be nice to see some prompts should you get stuck in the process.
Really frustrating to follow
The steps are explained way to quick, it’s hard to follow them in your mind as a beginner, and the time given is to short, it stressed me out more than it helped me. Especially the selecting of the thoughts which wasn’t clear what this thought might be. Also the questions that you are supposed to ask yourself didn’t work with the thought I had in mind. All in all super frustrating for me.

Worth it
If you’re tired of being tired take a chance on this app. I can notice a dip in my mental health when I take a couple days off of doing this neurocycle. I plan on doing it again just to really see what kind of difference I can make in my self. Just finished day 21 and the kintsugi metaphor really hit home for me. The art of mending broken vases with gold. That’s what this app is doing for my mind

Decent
Great introduction and self help app. I felt it goes a bit quick at times. Which is why I gave it four stars. It’s a bit annoying to pause and constantly rewind but I find it did help me for a bit, just need to stay on top of things. I find once you do get to a certain point it just goes to “do it yourself” with no guided audio and that’s where I got fully disengaged. Wish there was a bit more in that department to help me stay on track more
Content good but functionality terrible
Content is really good but the speed which she talks at is unbearable. I just want to be able to speed it up so step one doesn’t take 15 minutes (it ends up taking an hour which I was told it was 15 mins max a day). There is no fastforward (I can’t stand how slow the talking is)
Confusing
I would agree with the previous poster - it is not too clear what to do after trying day 1. I guess we’re meant to assume that we now pay? But it could be clearer. I think it’s a bit of a shame because the app is promoted as if it’s the easiest thing in the world to use... but so far that’s at least two people looking to improve their mental health... who have stumbled at the first hurdle. I see now that when you press ‘start programme’ it takes you to the subscription page. What you need is something encouraging to start day two or pick up where you left off. Depressed people already feel alienated and confused and persecuted. C’mon guys!!! If you want to design an accessible app, make it actually accessible, not confusing. I enjoyed day one so I’m giving it three stars.
Hard But Worth It
I have had the Neurocycle for about 3 months now. Within my first few days I was able to see patterns, recognize triggers, and identify lies I had believed. It felt like putting together a puzzle and helped to bring closure in ways I didn’t know I needed. It is time consuming…and hard…but healing is hard and trauma is time consuming and hard rather you deal with it or suppress it. And the Dr. Leaf creates a safe and loving environment on this app. I would find it super helpful if there was a Lifetime one time payment option…I would love to become a Neurocycle user for life. ❤️ Thank you to everyone to helped to put this app together!
App has permanently kicked me out
I love the Neurocycle. Unfortunately tho the app logged me out and will not allow me to log back in. When I log in it takes me to a blank orange screen. I have try’d different things to correct this along with emailing them for help but no resolve . I pay’d for 1 year but only got to use 2 months. I have no problems with any other apps . Hopefully you can fix the glitch in your system.
Buggy App
Purchased the one month subscription. It won’t let me access any information. It keeps showing up as “The promo code field is required when subscription id is not present” I have no idea what this means.
Can’t access
I downloaded this app and could get a thought for the day. It then told me I needed to log in again. Now it won’t let me do that. I deleted and reinstalled, still get same error message.
Just signed up for 3 month but can’t even log in!!
The app is a bit buggy. For example i can’t change my password within it. So if i get signed out i have to rest my password. The content us is amazing though. I am thankful for Dr. Leaf.
