Great!
A great meditation app, unlike any other. Jon Kabat-Zinn is the best. I love his monthly live meditations …i learn so much. I highly recommend this app and I am so grateful for it.
Cannot access meditations
Support for this App is terrible. I’ve reported problems many times and unable to resolve. Only thing that works is the Silence with Bells which is basically a timer. Too expensive for just that. I was eventually able to access the app with support from others (not the developer). The use of a third party platform and confusion on user name and password stymied my attempts to resolve access problems. Although now resolved, I do not credit the app support with this. They were not helpful.
Highly recommend
I spent a long time looking for recorded meditations to assist me in developing a practice. This app is by far the best. It is basic, and that is its beauty. It maintains the focus on the meditation. No attempt at selling you more. Just meditate
Superb content - bad app
This app is poorly built. Someone has to say it or it won’t get better. Love everyone’s intention attached to this project but you are failing on execution. 1. Downloading for offline listening works sporadically, buggy, and frequently then just doesn’t playback after it is supposedly downloaded. Not sure if you are trying to save bandwidth but the user experience is poor. Perhaps simply add a button where you can download all the audio files to make sure they’re on your phone because right now it’s unclear if they are or are not downloading. 2. Core function is playback and this frequently stops half way through. This is silly because there are long stretches of silence during the recordings so am I in a stretch of silence or has the app broken? I don’t want the feeling of now having to look at the app to check that takes me out of it being mindful. 3. For a monthly subscription, the above is not fair. I pay the monthly subscription to support JKZ, MBSR, and the global sangha. But it would be cheaper and more convenient for me to just rebuy all the recordings and put them on my phone. 4. The payment processing and account management are a mess. If you pay for the subscription on Apple that should immediately start working - other reviews have brought this up. Instead there are common issues with the payment somehow not registering for the account you have. Your account and payment logic is broken. Love that this app exists and love the intention to bring JKZ’s work to the world in this format. The periodic web calls are also phenomenal. I really appreciate the team who proactively reached out to Jon to build this. But you are letting Jon’s body of work down with your execution. Please do better in 2026.
App needs polish, basic features are buggy
I subscribed to this app to follow along as I read Full Catastrophe Living. I think the app is a nicer convenience than downloading the meditations from the website (yes you can buy them individually for a one time cost from the website instead! You don’t have to pay this monthly subscription) because they are easy to find and pull up this way. But. But. Sometimes the play/pause button gets stuck in one state or the other, and sometimes the 10s forward/rewind buttons are unresponsive, and when I tried to submit feedback I felt like I got the runaround the first couple messages (try resinstalling the app, it’s normal behavior, etc) and when it seems like an app can’t reliably fulfill the basic functions of an audio player, why should it cost a monthly subscription? I expect some amount of that cost to go toward maintenance and I’m just not seeing it, I don’t think this app is polished enough for more than 3 stars. The meditations are good though.
Best App by one of the best teachers
Use it everyday and it’s one the best app out there. Thank you Jon
Not suitable for Europeans
This app offered FAQs with Jon Kabat-Zinn, an invaluable experience. However, with the proposed shift Europeans can watch the FAQs at 3am in the morning, meaning that this app has lost all appeal. Other apps offer the same meditations cheaper, the USP is gone, at least for this continent. Good night and good luck to this app. Subscription cancelled.
In german language?
Hi dear developement team, is there any chance to get the app in german soon? Id really appriceate. Best regards
Subscription woes
The customer representative really tried to help out as much as they could but nevertheless I wasn’t able to subscribe. There was a problem with the app and they said that the developer indicated the issue has been fixed but no matter what I do I cannot subscribe. So the app may not be l accessible to everyone and the reasons are some bug that is hard to fix
Content Great, Technology A Catastrophe
Frustrating. Jon Kabst-Zinn is so idealist as judged by his excellent writing, but there is a disconnect with the app dies not work. Keeps asking ne to restore my purchase then agsin asks me to signup!
Just This.
JKZ App has everything you need if you use it as directed. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. The recorded Live sessions going back almost 5 years have insight after insight if you watch them all; then repeat! Incredible value for a very small price. All my gratitude to Jon and his incredible team that have made this available to everyone.
Subscription Doesn’t Work
I paid for a subscription to access all the locked content. Yet, the content remained locked. The app support is weak at best and not responsive.
keeps requiring Restore every few days
After Ive listened 2 ir 3 separate times, the APP says to restore. When it says restore, it has to be deleted and then downloaded and reinstalled. I’ve mailed the app for help but was just told to do what Ive already done. I paid for the subscription and would like my user experience to be smoother. Please fix the App.
Not worth paying for
I tried this app as an accompaniment to his book, Full Catastrophe Living. I did not find it to be the accompaniment I hoped for (just not as inclusive). I feel meditations from Insight Timer are just as good and free. I also found the staff supporting the app to be not very helpful. Very challenging to actually cancel my subscription to the app. Would not recommend this app.
Good resource but very clunky playback
This is a nice centralized source for Jon’s medications. However, the playback interface needs a lot of work. Tracks play under the wrong name, don’t skip properly, etc. please fix!
Jon Kabat-Zinn taught me how to meditate
I've been learning meditation from Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn since 2010. He gave me my first experience of satori and I've been hooked ever since. He truly changes lives with his books and meditations
App doesn’t work
I tried this app a few months ago and it didn’t work. It did well with taking my money, but did not unlock access to the meditations. Now, it said there was an “update”, but after subscribing, it did well with taking my money, but terrible at unlocking access to the meditations. Please update the app or remove it since it’s not being maintained. It’s misleading to say reinstall the app if one can’t access the meditations after subscribing and that doesn’t work.
Lovely! Please add to Apple Health
Fantastic. Thank you for this! Could you please add the meditations to Apple Health “meditation minutes”? It helps to build a meditation habit.
Please update app!
I love the app and all it has to offer. I recently purchased it! I bought a new iPhone 15 pro max and it’s not working on here. It crashes out and won’t let me restore my purchase
App launch FAILS
v2.31 app update (“minor fix”?!): more like, “MAJOR failure added” - launches with white screen. Where’s the quality assurance before release? Not even a simple regression test suite? Or how about - just open the app and try it? Why am I paying a subscription fee for an app that’s not there when I need it?!
Not able to use Silence with Bells
I appreciate this app and all its meditations. My only complaint is on my iphone I am unable to use the Silence with Bells part of the app. It won't let me set a time and start the session.
Please keep the bells in the audio guided meditations. App extremely helpful.
I found this app helpful and irreplaceable for me. Please keep the bells in the guided meditations and adding more meditations when you can as you have done with adding the ones for beginners and pain relief. I found the yoga and body scan very helpful. MBSR helps me manage severe anxiety without medication. I do the 45 minute versions once a week and have so for 7 years.
won’t let you cancel sub
i cannot cancel my subscription. super frustrating
Perfect!
I was looking for some additional guided meditations to supplement others I use periodically. I do a combination of self guided meditations and those guided by others. I was reading Kabat-Zinn’s book (Full Castrophe Living) and decided to try his meditations. This is exactly what I was looking for in an app. This is a reasonably priced app with some excellent guided meditations, a beginners review of meditation and some guided yogas. The biggest surprise is that I was not expecting to find the yogas so helpful. The only feedback I have for the developers of the app is that I don’t like the bells at the beginning and end of each meditation, and I think its amusing that JKZ says on the other side of the “tape.” The tape reference I am presuming is because he has used some of this material over the years with his patients in the hospital setting.
Blank screen
I opened the app this evening to do a 20 minute meditation and there was just a white screen. The app has in effect disappeared. What happened?
Powerful and one of the very few apps I use every day
This app is my go-to as I practice a curriculum that is life changing and life giving. I really look forward to ingraining the current content, learning new content, and attending live sessions in 2022. Thank you for this app.
App has stopped working
Loads with a blank white screen on iPhone 13 / iOS 15
Jon Kabat-Zinn MBSR changed my life
I love this App. It’s simple and gets the job done. After I look the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course (MBSR) developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn and reading Full Catastrophe Living, by Jon, my whole relationship to myself and the world changed for the better. Meditation takes consistent practice and also an understanding of what Awareness and being in the moment means. I love the mindfulness reminders that I can set throughout the day. And I love all of the different MBSR meditation sessions. You also get exclusive live videos and the recordings. I reached out to their help desk because I wasn’t able to see the videos at first. They helped me solve the problem.
Stops playing
Technical issue: tried several meditations and each one stops playing within minutes on iPhone 12 Pro
Bliss
I utilize this app daily for meditation also to review the amazing video content that has been posted monthly. This app is solid gold. Mindfulness is a way of life a way of being, as Jon would say it’s wakefulness.Customer service with this app is immediate and prompt and the content is beyond exceeds all my expectations.
Love JKZ…but not this app
I never could get it to work right. The meditations would automatically restart half way through when I was on trial subscription. App is unusable in current state.
