Docs
I love it!
It’s called Lake Ontario
Software is adequate. The company is morally bankrupt.
Operates well
Works well across devices. Few issues here and there but overall ok.
So slow
Why is it so slow? I can’t even type. Takes longer and longer with every word.
huh
my fics just disappeared
Ok
Ok
Stupid
You are supposed to make it easy to write save and share. You don’t. I’m angry with you. I know you will say I’m stupid at the software. Maybe I am. It’s your job to make that easy
Phone app limitations
Maybe it’s more complicated for a mobile app but I didn’t see the option to include a header for my cover letter.
Support
Google needs phone support. I need help with the drive and there are no answers for the syncing problem I’m having
The app is not stable on iPhone 15 TV
You cannot copy and paste, nor does the app format a document properly
Google Docs Supremacy
This is the best app i own. Period. The features are amazingly easy to use, the organizational tools are downright heavenly, and it is so easy to use on mobile. You can just sit down in between tasks or rounds in a video game and just right a bit of lore for a world your making. Its downright amazing.
Ugh
Too hard to open!!!!
Words
Practically speaking perfect, writing a book, maybe, writing a song, more than likely. Having a bunch of pages that amount to rants basically. Hoping to find the right doc yup. At the same time looking for the perfect format for what I need, it’s all present and prevalent, just having to pick and choose is like looking at the first one ne and thinking it’s perfect than deciding they were all exactly what I need for my format. How do I count the ways of what not to do. NEVER change the format of a doc or you will loose it like last years email password. But if you like charts go on and chart away. Excellent format, word and then some. Well worth my time and helps with my written rants and book which I will probably never finish. Never wrote a book before figured might as well.
Cut and paste
Seriously cannot understand why Google cannot “paste” with the usual method used by every other piece of software in the universe, but rather have to “Cntrl””V” on desktop PC
Love the convenience except when it’s not
If docs could work and transfer over to word without formatting issues. 5 star app. I use this when on the road to make quick modifications. Update a resume, whatever I may need. Then, everyone else is using Microsoft word. So all the formatting, paragraphs, spacing, etc is ALL messed up. I can’t even begin to describe how badly this operates with the Microsoft Office monopoly of word processing and business tools.
I'd 100% recommend!
no notes. easy to use, free, no ads, real minimalistic i think is the right word?. it's not super showy or trying to promote anything and it's genuinely useful. if you're looking for something to just keep your thoughts organized to even writing a book, google docs is a great thing to use to do so.
My whole book got deleted. No backup features
I got this on my phone and I wrote almost my entire book on it and then one day I came to work on it some more and it was completely deleted. I will forever be devastated and sad because of this and they need a way to go back and find it again. 😞😞😞😞😔😔 always make a backup because they won’t do it for you…..
nice
I mean, it’s alright, the lack of phone support isn’t very nice, but it does function like intended usually.
Access
I don’t like that it is so easy to hack by third parties to have access to my documents. People around the world can alter and erase my documents unlike word where they have to work a little harder
No zoom options?
Love Google Docs but why cant I zoom out on my I phone app? Cant hardly see anything it’s so close and very frustrating to scroll across and back. Zoomed like 200 percent it feels. This would be a good feature
Lifesaving Saver
Google Docs is an excellent app that is simple to use. You don’t need to subscribe or worry about your saved content being deleted because you didn’t pay for space. I especially love the different formats I can utilize for saving files. Thank you Google for this app! I will definitely use it for all my written projects and tasks!
I hate genAI
Give users the option to not let this company train their data with our work for free.
Email and Docs
My only quibble with Docs is I find using it as an email tool could be more straightforward than navigating the document sharing functions.
Very disappointed
I’ve used google Docs for years now and really enjoyed it, but I just found out that they feed everything you write to an AI software to train it so I’ve had to stop using it. I don’t want my work to be plagiarised by a job stealing algorithm
Great app but lack features with modern iPad OS
This app really needs to support two or more google docs side by side. It is killing productivity and makes something which should be simple very frustrating.
I love it! Convenient!
Annoying
Stop asking for a review
Very good
It is very useful and all the tools are extremely good. I have been using it for a while and the app helps a lot. The designs are kind of plain though. Could use some more detail. A long with sheets and slides. Besides that great app!
so hard to use oh my god
i’m a student and recently switched from a laptop to an ipad for ease of use and oh my god this app is impossible to navigate on the ipad. i can’t even use the web browser version cause it tells me i need to download the stupid app. there’s no tools tab i need to switch the settings so i’m screwed, moving images around is impossible, everything is too close i need to zoom out but i can’t, new lines don’t autocapitalize, i keep needing to turn on print preview so i can see where the page ends cause it turns in to an endless page for some reason. genuinely the least user friendly thing i’ve ever used. let me use the web version i beg of you! i love google docs i don’t know why the app is so horrible!
Pages on mobile
Most things are pretty good, but I would like to ask if you could add pages to the mobile google docs app. I am writing a book on my phone and Ipad but I never know how many pages I wrote because it is always pageless. I tried to go to the settings and turn off pageless to see it was already pageless.
Usable
Great - quick access, accessible & it works
Never works
Never works. Not intuitive
dont eat google docs i dont rccomend it
itt didnt tastethst good!!!!!!! it tasted like. bad,,,,, tasted like a brick and i would know from experinece. oh the app works fine though just dont eat it yea
Storage
Unable to access any of my documents ie: resumes and work projects because of storage deleted everything I was able to and it still will not let me.
Handy
Useful I’m just a little bit confused using it.
Download it!
Google Docs makes it easy to create, edit, and access my documents from anywhere. The app is reliable, user-friendly, and especially helpful when I need to make quick updates from my phone. Everything saves automatically, and sharing documents or collaborating with others is seamless. Definitely one of my most-used productivity apps.
Useless
View only, can’t print from iPhone
Help pls
I can’t figure out how to update this Good app tho The different pages are cool
It's Ok...
Unfortunately, I have to use this app for a volunteer position. Voiceover accessibility is better than it was years ago, but it is difficult to delete old files on the app, and voiceover does not reliably read the entire contents of documents.
Incomplete
It is good but for some reason has no support for open document formats
Educator Hill-Ryans
5 star! Using Google Docs has been the best thing that has ever happened to me since I’ve been in education for 29 years recently retire retired. I would recommend it to anybody in everybody. It is very easy accessible easy to learn and easy to use and an excellent tool for whatever you need to do.
AI slop
Stop forcing this water-wasting garbage down our throats please. If you want to write on something that DOESN’T kill polar bears jus use ellipsis instead
Needs update
Great app for English users, but for Korean users, not the best app. It automatically suggests "wrong" or "non-existing" Korean words to replace normal ones. Even after update, I can't ignore the red lines on my ipad; there is no option to ignore.. those incorrect suggestions. But it's a good app for reading/writing long documents.
J’ai cassé mon docs
C’est tout c’est cassé
Difficulties
Hard to change names of DOCS. Yet to figure out how to DELETE DOCS !
Dear Google Docs,
You keep being you! Sincerely, A College Student trying to succeed
Worst editing program ever
This has to be one of the worst editing programs ever designed. I don’t understand who can use this. I go to sit there and edit something. It deletes the whole page then go to type and nothing appears on the screen. Let’s just say I’ll be moving to a different program.
Very good
Very good app to write books and story’s, both good on iPads and computers and good for offline use, perfect for book writers to students, perfect for everyone, except it’s a bit harder to use on phones compared to iPads and computers, everything else is awesome though
Good on computer but the mobile ui is awful
Can’t even resize images!
Finally, it works again.
After many YEARS, the Find function finally works. It used to crash whenever I tried to use it, and was super annoying. Other than that, the app is great, I use it daily and it's a great free alternative to Microsoft Word. The only thing that it does now is that whenever I'm editing a document and then alternate to another app and then come back, the screen resets and I'm sent back to the main documents screen. It's kind of annoying because now I have to go back into my document and scroll down to find my spot I left off at. I hope this gets fixed SOON too and won't take YEARS.
