Insufficient Information
I paid for a song score of the lakes by Taylor swift. I usually pay for scores to get the midi and go, however because of how the app is structured, I wasn’t given sufficient information about the score and realised after purchasing that there was no midi file, only a pdf. Now I have to find a pdf to midi converter. This is ridiculous. Why am I unable to view ALL scores and listen to it being played before purchasing. I usually don’t have an issue with the app because I would never use it because of the constant ridiculous pop ups portraying the apps greediness but if I’m gonna pay for any score on the app, I should at least be given full information about what I’m paying for instead, requesting me to pay and only getting that information after payment. Just a money hungry company. Rubbish

Ich bin über Probeabo zu MuseScore als Bezahlversion gekommen. Abgebucht wurden 59,99 €. Ich kann weder auf PayPal noch in der App selbst erkennen, welche Version ich gekauft habe und welche Vorteile ich davon habe. Auch ist nirgendwo hinterlegt, wie ich kündigen kann. Nicht Kundenfreundlich. Ich benötige MuseScore, weil ich beabsichtige Noten zu scannen uns ggfs. zu transponieren. Oder Partituren zu teilen nach Stimme. Kann mich hier jemand unterstützen🙏?

Dark pattern subscription trap
I signed up to their 7 day free trial. On day 6, the subscription page showed no upcoming payment or renewal due (basically making it look like I wouldn’t be charged) and sure enough the next day I got charged £99 for their annual plan anyway. No phone support, no way of contacting them. I’m now having to file a refund claim directly with Apple (still pending). Be very careful before a trial ends and don’t trust what the sub page tells you.

Ich benutze Muse score hauptsächlich für Noten und das Problem ist, dass ich nicht genug Geld habe bzw Geld für andere Dinge brauche um mir das Pro Abo zu kaufen. Damit kann ich halt Noten abspielen und Zoomen und vielleicht noch Liken aber gefühlt nichts anderes. Ich fände es schön, wenn es ein günstiges Abo geben würd, wo man die Basic Features bekommen sollte. Man braucht ja nicht alles aus dem Pro oder Pro+

Pro is an absolute scam!
Total rip-off, don't waste your money. I've used MuseScore since the early days when it was a free website. I bought the Pro subscription thinking it was the complete package, but it's a trap. The second you pay for the year, the app starts constantly nagging you to upgrade to Pro Plus just to access the actual sheet music you want. Pro Plus is far too expensive. I paid my hard-earned money and I am still getting a rubbish experience. Do yourself a massive favour: either find free scores online or just use Musicnotes instead, as their full access is so much cheaper and simpler.

List keeps jumping back to the top whilst I'm scrolling through scores.

has lots of good quality music — great! this is thanks to the talented and hardworking users of the app. other than that, musescore constantly pushes overpriced subscriptions and in app purchases through irritating pop ups and sometimes decides to paywall features that were previously free or spurns subscribers by making a higher tier of subscription and locking previously accessible music behind that. also stop pausing my music to advertise musescore pro+ to me. i don't care that it unlocks auto scroll (which used to be a given and definitely should be free anyways. it's insane that you have to pay for two tiers of subscription for your music to scroll when you press play). i can scroll myself, with my fingers. just Stop Pausing My Music you've ruined a good app with your capitalistic greed.
Preispolitik?
An sich finde ich die App wirklich super. Das Filtersystem ist super, die Instrumente viel und die Community lädt auch wirklich klasse Noten hoch. Für Anfänger bis wirklich schwierig was dabei. Und deutlich billiger und auch weniger Zettelwirtschaft als die ganzen Notenbücher für verschiedene Instrumente. Ich würde auch gerne alle Noten an sich soweit freischalten aber diese Preispolitik verstehe ich nicht. Da gibt es irgendwie MuseScore Pro dann Pro +, dann dies, dann das, dann jenes. Manchmal kostet es 60€/Jahr, manchmal 80€/Jahr, Unterschiede nicht erkennbar. Wenn ich dann von Pro auf Pro + updaten möchte, muss ich nicht nur die Differenz bezahlen, sondern sogar das Pro + komplett. Also da blicke ich nicht durch und etwas durchsichtiger wäre ganz nett und dann gäbe es auch meinerseits nichts zu meckern.

Randomly stops responding to me tapping to turn the page. Back button often does not work (to exit score). Great app, but it’s a chore to use. iPad Pro 4th gen. Latest iPad OS.
Avoid!
I took up an offer of 12 month subscription for £34.99 a week ago. I have since been charged £169.99 yesterday and another £44.99 today! Immediate response from customer service to cancel my subscription, but no response to my requests for refunds. Absolutely fuming - this is a lot of money and certainly not something that I can afford. AVOID!!!

Awful customer service
They are terrible at responding, I am trying to cancel my subscription and get a refund, it has been 3 days and they’ve done nothing about it. It’s impossible to navigate and sort without help, it’s almost as if they’ve done this on purpose. Edit: still waiting for my refund it’s been 9 days, I get one email and then I respond and they ignore it. I can only assume they wait for you to forget. Customer service is non existent apart from a token email thanking you for your email each time.

So much potential but very buggy
I subscribe to pro +, i love the range of scores, i think its great value and use it daily. But every few times i use the app, it forgets that im a subscriber . It also frequently will freeze. I often need to close the app , open it repeatedly until it recognises that im a subscriber again. Its a lot of money for this so they should work on improving bugs .
Sneaky “sales”
Be careful when purchasing discounted sheet music. In my case, I didn’t realize that the purchase also included enrollment in a premium subscription (68$/month which is a crazy amount to keep it within fine writing) and I only noticed the recurring charges months later. The good news is that customer support was very helpful and gave me a full refund when I reached out. I appreciate that they made things right. Still, I wish the subscription terms had been more obvious during checkout. Just a heads-up: if something seems too good to be true, take a moment to double-check what you’re agreeing to.

Have taken payment even though i cancelled
I signed up for the free trial to download a specific score, cancelled my subscriptions (as they appear to have subscribed me to something I didn’t ask to be subscribed to) straightaway and then took payment anyway. I have requested a refund and been told no as I subscribed and it’s been past the 14 days, never mind the fact I cancelled. So £69.99 has been taken out of my account so one score, which I also had to pay for has cost me a fortune. Absolutely don’t bother with it.

I really like the app but the search function consistently doesn’t work and just returns ‘sorry we couldn’t find anything’ more often than it does work which really hurts the experience

Bugs
Even though I purchased pro it keeps asking me if I want to buy it again. I have to close the app and restart often. A lot of the functions are buggy in the app like the mixer. I am also very confused why some of the sheet music I can save in a list and other I cannot. Some I can download offline and other I cannot. In general a bit frustrating. Still helpful to use.

It’s a great app but one of the things wrong with it is the fact that practically every 5 scores are “ official” or you have to pay for it in some way, and for some prices basically all of the prices are official, which makes it a pain to find something enjoyable to play.

£85 doesn’t give full access?
I paid £85 for a full subscription but when I tried to download load load or print a Vivaldi piece it wouldn’t let me and said I had to pay £5.99 for “full access”. In addition there was no way to seperate instruments in the “mixer”. What is the point of subscription if it doesn’t let you use the product?
Something actually good
The ui is minimalistic, modern yet simple and easy to use. But please give us an option to buy lifetime Pro, please. This is not just me but hundreds or even thousands of user want this. I hope you will read this and make some change that will help tons of user currently on this platform. Thank you.

Purchased the pro+ subscription and I still can't download scores without purchasing. Vast majority still need to be paid for to download - ridiculous!
