Needs updates
Wonderful program, super quick. And easy. My only complaint is that there’s no AI noise reduction. Please add that adobe. Please. It’s so close to fully featured, why not just add the couple of features? Also. Why can’t I open an image on iCloud Drive.

Great app for iPad
Overall, this is a very good app for photo editing on my iPad Pro with Apple Pencil. Everything seems to work as intended. My iPad does get hot and the app starts to lag a little but other than that it’s a fantastic app. Now here’s the real reason I gave it a four star instead of a five. The brush tool on here should have auto masking so when you’re painting with the brush, you don’t go outside of the lines of what you’re masking.
Feature request
In general, this is a great app for managing and editing photos. One missing feature is a real pain, though. It needs a one step way to remove rejected photos. This happens a lot in the workflow, but takes 4-5 steps and is error prone if you don’t click in the right order or forget to filter first. I know the desktop version has this. Updating this review: the cloud synch is PAINFULLY slow. I went on a birding trip and uploaded about 5000 photos. Three weeks later they are still synching. Synching only works when the app is open and in front. Even if you tell the iPad not to go to sleep, it still eventually stops synching. I have the background synch option on but does not seem to work for photos. At minimum, background synching should pause when you are trying to download an original to edit. Loading originals sometimes takes up to 5 minutes. This makes me wish for the days before cloud.
Preset import and organization needs major work
Mobile subscriptions is so clunky with presets. You have to import them in to your ‘user presets’ vs into any folder you create. So it’s terrible to either locate the one you want or trying to organize your presets. Literally have to apply the preset then save the preset and rename it one by one. Like what kind of user experience is that. This seems so basic.

No tethered shooting… big letdown but great for editing on the go
I’m a lil disappointed that I have to pay an additional $10.99 just to use capture one for tethered shooting when all of my subscriptions are with adobe. Lr for iPad has camera mode that uses the devices camera but no way to use your work camera. The only workaround is to use the Lightroom for desktop and sync it to your tablet as an additional display. Listen we don’t use this app to edit our camera rolls on our phones and tablets, the native photo app does just that. We barely use our tablets camera. Many of us are working photographers and could definitely benefit from tethered shooting on site. Adobe please catch up so I can save money. That’s $110 I can save per year if you add that function
Been inconsistent
Been using it for a while with hardly no issues. Within the past week, some of my presets quit working, will not load photos from my device, will not load the presets with my photos already in the app, and will not download them.
Erase not working
for the past few years, the app has worked wonderfully when it came to editing photos taken on my camera. Till recently, the remove button to erase or remove certain things has not been working as it should. Originally I thought it was my WiFi, however with everything else being checked I ultimately came to the conclusion that it is the app itself. I’m thinking this may be a bug that needs to be fixed.

Adobe won’t let me restore a deleted photo because I don’t have enough cloud space. What a joke, I have tons of IPad space and that’s what matters to me, but instead I’m being coerced into purchasing more cloud space. F that. F Adobe.
Great app missing feature
Love this app, but it advertises the blur feature, but it is not available on the iPad app
Have had Lightroom for years. It glitches so much now & freezes. Nearly impossible to use anymore
I have done a majority of my edits on Lightroom for at least the last 3 years. I have imported large files and have had no issue working through edits. However, now I can’t even edit one photo from my phone camera. Things stay greyed out and unusable due to lagging and being stuck. I’ve updated devices, apps, restarted, tried different devices and this app is a mess. Not sure why I’m paying for something that literally gets worse with time. It’s sad too because it’s been my go to for years, and seems like they have not improved a thing, except add all the AI integrations that take up so much space “analyzing” when the app can hardly run as is it seems. Very unhappy with how things have been working lately and will be looking for a new company to pay for their services given this shows no signs of improvement. Pretty sad. I know a lot of photographers use Lightroom. Should probably fix it soon before you lose a bunch of customers (and I’d say soon considering all the comments saying the same)
Price change
I have been using Lightroom for years now and the features are great for what I need. However, the recent 40% price jump from £4.99 to £6.99 a month is pretty atrocious! I may have to sadly begin a search for a new app as, knowing Adobe, they will most definitely do this again…

Predatory tactics to keep customers
I’m happy to have left that island that makes it difficult to leave. There are plenty of apps that do the same thing, pay a one time price, plus updates and don’t have to get your bank account attacked by these people. Thank you for all you offer, Apple.
Please add support for left handed people
When I as a left hanedd person use lightroom with the Apple Pencil, it is very annoying that I can’t have the edit panels over to the left. Please add support for moving main edit panels to the left for left handed people.
Unusably Slow
I have been trying to edit and download the same 19 photos for nearly 24 hours now the speed is so antiquated. It’s like using dial up from 20 years ago. I can’t even get a preview to load within a five minute timeframe so that I can just finish downloading it. This is not an internet speed issue.
Some Features Lost
It needs to allow users to star or flag multiple photos at once by select -> star. There is serious efficiency loss if the user cannot do this.

Don’t get the subscription
The app is good, with good features, but when I need to cancel it they charge me 60$ it’s outrageous. Just let me cancel instead of scamming me

Falls short on the basics
I really wish that adobe would put some time into fundamentals rather than adding AI nonsense. I have a gigabit connection and 100GB of storage allocated to cache, and I still have to wait for photos to load, because LR is only using 10GB of cache and can’t bother to load images ahead of when I’m viewing them. This app is so close to being a fantastic tool for culling images away from my desk, but they can’t seem to put in the basic effort to make it usable for its main function.
AI remove tool isn’t working
The new update is not allowing me to remove anything with it crashing. I’m trying to edit photos for a client and it’s taking me longer to get the pictures back to them due to me not able to erase anything. Please fix this issue I’m paying $50 a month for this app and I can’t do anything.

Frustrating and Disappointing if you are a professional photographer.
Lightroom mobile on the iPad is not for the professional photographer. Adobe really has dropped the ball with this app. I had a dream of editing everything on my 2tb iPad Pro m4, but it’s impossible and frustrating. I switched from my legacy adobe cloud 20gb plan to the 1tb plan, and that was also a big mistake. There is no way i could edit a wedding or a day’s worth of wildlife photos from one of the trips that i lead on Lightroom mobile for the IPad. First, good luck getting all of the photos imported. Second, the app is unreliable, even after importing and having the album stored locally, there is always issues. Nothing worse than being out in the bush wanting to edit photos on your iPad and you can’t because Lightroom mobile did not save your photos correctly and due to the lack of the internet, you can’t access the photos or your presets. Noise reduction is pretty terrible on the iPad as well. The phone version of Lightroom is better than the iPad. Adobe should abandon Lightroom mobile for the iPad and make a “classic” version where one can import their catalog and photos and not really on adobes unstable and slow cloud for edits. Adobe Lightroom mobile is not for the professional photographer, it may work for the casual user who just wants basic editing. Save your time and money and just stick with your MacBook.
App crashes constantly
This app is genuinely great, everyone knows that. But the most annoying thing is my Brand new iPad has been CONSTANTLY crashing after the recent update and rarely allows me to use the eraser tool as it tells me to “try again later” every time I use it. It’s almost getting hard to use as I can barely export photos itself without the app completely shutting down, if this issue could get fixed that’d be amazing
Mediocre
It’s kind of funny in a very embarrassing way (for Adobe) that the iPad app lacks features that run on my outdated iPhone 13. I have LR for both because I like having the ability to do things on the larger screen, but this is pathetic. I’m definitely canceling the iPad app.

Amazing tool with many capabilities
I’ve tried many tools for photography editing but Lightroom is the best so far. It’s capable of doing everything from simple cropping to changing very complex items. Awesome!!
Error when copying settings
Can’t copy and paste settings. App gives an error. Can’t create presets either. Fix it
Lightroom not syncing
I’m nit sure if this is a known issue, but my Lightroom iPad app will not load my images. It syncs to my account but the images never load to allow me to edit.
Paid for a year got 1 month
I paid for a year, I saw you could edit video, I tried it said I needed to upgrade my premium account, I tried the 7 day free trial on the upgrade now I have no access to the service I paid for. I try to restore and it says there is no account but it shows up in my subscriptions it expires September of 2026. There is no way to reach support so it’s messed up.
Lens Blur effect needs big improvement
I love the IDEA of this tool so much. Unfortunately, it’s not nearly where it needs to be. The AI is good at detecting people, but not good at understanding that the objects we are wearing (hats) or holding (long things) are part of us! So it blurs them into the background. Additionally, it often blurs long hair into the background, or sometimes can’t find the edge of a person so it creates a buffer around their body/face with some of the background being left in sharp focus. This happens especially a lot with patterned areas (tile or brick walls, water waves).
Photoshop integration
I love how you can easily switch to photoshop and back to it again.
RAW Paywall?
Rating this 1 star so the devs see (otherwise 2 stars). I was using this app no problem completely free. Was taking photos on my RX100 MKII and exporting them in RAW format to edit. Many of the AI features were stuck behind a paywall but that was fine because I just wanted to retouch the colors. However, a few days ago I noticed I could no longer edit the photos I had been uploading previously, and it was now behind a paywall. At that point, why even use Lightroom? All of the professional features and dialed in color editing that I could use with RAW was just blocked behind a paywall. At that point I could just use apple's built in software and get the same results because all JPEG edits the same. Thanks Adobe. Please fix this.
Adobe Lightroom - Hotter than the Hinges of Hades!
So far I’m quite pleased with Lightroom on my iPad Air (M3) — however, when working on an image for a long period of time, the M3 feels really hot–hotter than what feels safe for my iPad Air’s longevity. Any thoughts?
PLEASE revert the generate AI remove
I updated my app for the first time in a few months and I cannot believe how poor the generate AI remove tool performs now. Before this update, the generate AI remove tool seriously did EXACTLY what I needed it to beautifully 9 times out of 10. Now, almost every single removal I try to do needs multiple fixes and sometimes the generate AI removal can’t get to the result I need even after multiple retries. It was seriously amazing before, please revert it back to how it was. :(
Awful
This newest update is awful. I’m wasting way too much time fixing the ai remove options. And why must I update the masks every time I do something? This is making my workflow ridiculously long. Please fix it or I need to find a new editing software.

Missing quick facial beautification function from Lightroom phone version. Can’t believe that the iPad version of Lightroom is weaker and less functional than phone version. It’s a waste of my 2TB M5 iPad Pro.

Missing simple important features like scene enhance
The phone app is excellent but for some reason the iPad app is missing several helpful features such as the simple scene enhance feature. The iPhone Scene enhance quickly identifies and masks features like subject, mountains, water, sky, vegetation, ground, etc. It is very time consuming to replicate the feature using masks in the iPad. Reddit forums recommend workarounds like using he iPhone for some features then the iPad. That is incredibly frustrating. I would much prefer if the same app was available on boy the iPhone amid the iPad. I specifically wanted to use my iPad as my primary tool for editing as the screen is larger and I have a pencil but missing key simple features just serves to infuriate.
Not bad but could be better
Lots of very useful features with frequent updates filled with all the good stuff. However, let’s look at some very basic functionality like giving the option to print from within the app. Not too much to ask for surely!
App keeps crashing
App keeps crashing. I’ve updated & reinstalled but it’s still crashing. Please look into this as other than the crashing the app is brilliant. My workload is taking several hours longer because of this as my work keeps being lost each time the app crashes so I have to redo every image several times over.
Extremely irritated
First, I would like to say something positive I have used this particular software for years. I have been a photographer for over 14 years and it has been one of my go to when it comes to me working especially on my group events. However, my issue comes from trying to save my work. Every time I go to save my work, they save as bright. I have gone in to change this manually and no matter what I do it still saves all my photos under the name bright. I have gone into custom naming. However, if I have to do that for every single image that I have, it becomes a problem. I am currently working on 350 photos. I need to edit them and give them back to my client by the end of next week. It is currently December 12 and I have only been able to get through about 12 items because I am constantly having to go in and change the name of my photo just so I can save it properly and upload it to my customers website. This is unacceptable. Especially when I actually pay for this particular software. I have an account through Adobe and I feel like I am not getting my moneys worth because I am dealing with this issue. Fix it. And I know you’re about to say it’s probably something wrong with my tablet. It isn’t. I’ve gone onto Google. I’ve gone onto YouTube. I’ve done the suggestions. I’ve done the changing of settings on both my tablet and in Lightroom and the software continues to name every single photo that under the name bright, this is annoying. I’ve never been so annoyed with Lightroom in my life. What is going on!!!!
Quick Actions missing from iPad version 10.0.1
Hi, I note that the advertised quick actions are missing from Early Access in the iPad version. It works fine on iPhone version.
Can’t even log in
Second straight version where I choose log in with Adobe and I have to click way outside of the text box to enter my email I use with Adobe and then find the Return key does nothing and no matter where I click on the screen I can’t submit a login. Wasn’t a great app to begin with, but is now completely useless.
Good app but misleading subscription plan info
The app works well and is intuitive to use. My only gripe is that in AppStore it offers a range of subscription plans but once downloaded it appears that you can only take the one Premium plan offering, which (surprise, surprise ) is the most expensive
