The ads for other games are always getting stuck with no way of getting back to crossword other than switch device off and back on again. It’s a pity because I’ve used this for 10 years now and I’m thinking of changing to another which I don’t really want to do.
Fed up
Why change what wasn’t broken, doesn’t fit the screen anymore, didn’t you have anything else to do but spoil the crossword I’ve been enjoying for a long time.

For harder clues read less relevant answers
On the easier crosswords the clues seem to fit the correct answer very well, but as you increase difficulty levels you start to see clues that have little or no relevance to the answer required. In some cases it’s just the tense is wrong, in others it seems the clue writers don’t use or understand English. I finally gave up when the answer to which city a football club came from was completely wrong.
pluses & minuses
As a quick (and free) auto-generated simple crossword it seems worth having. It would seem to have minimal privacy invasions so appearing ‘safe’ for those concerned about personal data. This is an illusion: of the 700+ ‘partners’ where you can withdraw consent to info sharing, most will be turned back on automatically. There are no cryptic clues, irrespective of difficulty level. Perhaps the biggest minus is that periodically rather long adverts appear for other games. Some of those games also have extremely loose privacy policies. It also means a waiting time with adverts before the next puzzle is made available (to get round that though, close then reopen the app).
Really quite good - but
The crosswords are really good considering it’s free, however, as someone previously stated some of the answers don’t match the clue and although the spelling is in English and not entirely Americanese the computer that sets the clues is obviously American as it constantly uses the phrase “soccer” we play football in the UK and when it says “tourist attraction in the UK” it’s always a tourist attraction in London, there are tourist attractions in the UK outside that city and when it says “cities in England” they’re invariably towns, but having said that it’s a really good app although from a finicky Englishman a little frustrating
Subscription Issues
In my case buying a subscription does no stop adverts and trying to recover the subscription fails, ether by presenting a message that tells one their attempt fails or, more commonly, crashing the app completely. Also, there appears to be no contact information. I am not happy with this product!
Language Barrier
I like that this crossword game, unlike those from other appsmiths, has a database of words/clues, randomly selecting a grid and filling in the boxes. The rivals feel they have to employ a fleet of gridsmiths to write about a hundred puzzles. While I set the wordometer to US, the clues tend to be sounding UK. I do not knock other lands, but after the fracas from the 1770s, the lingos developed differently. I wish somebody else could make a random crossword filling engine and make the DB more localized. One more thing: I echo other users who’d like to see a panic button in case a puzzle is too tough and want to stop the game and get off. So long and thanks for The Rolling Stones.

Good game I paid to remove adverts which was confirmed and paid via Apple Pay on the phone but the game hasn’t registered it. I’ve tried everything to no avail.

10 minutes ago I Purchased the subscription so I didn’t have to deal with ads. Still got ads. Tried to hit “restore purchase”, and it’s a dead link that doesn’t work. No way to refund the subscription despite having just purchased it, and there isn’t any way to to contact someone about fixing it. It’s a scam.
Too many things not words
These crosswords have songs, people, films etc instead of WORDS. The only way I can complete the puzzle is to use clues. Not for me. Delete.

I’ve paid for this app but the ads are still playing between games and at the bottom of the screen. This is disgraceful and I should get my money back and Apple should ban this app now.

Stupid clues
Clues are geared for Europeans. 3 character country and currency codes. The puzzle writers are obsessed with death, dying, old age, cancer, tumors. Same clues on nearly every puzzle. I’m done using this.
Intrusive, disruptive ads; fix region settings
I downloaded this game over four years ago. I don’t remember there being any ads. Now, I get a 30-second ad before and after each game and when I start each game I have to force close and reopen the app because the ads seem to be glitching the game (puzzle up, clock running, no clues). Also, the game has regional settings but the english-language clues are all British regardless of which region is set.

The game functions fine, but the clues are so ambiguous and tenuous, even on the easy setting. It makes it just not worthwhile.

The crosswords are either too easy or too hard with no in between and although I subscribed to remove the ads, the app just crashes when I select restore purchases and the ads are still there!
Reported some of the clues
Good for filling a bit of spare time but I have to say some of the clues are questionable when you reveal the answer I am not sure if this is due to it being an American developed game so terminology is slightly different?

Reads from clipboard without prompt
Now that iOS helpfully identifies potentially spying apps I can see every time the app gets the focus it reads whatever was on the clipboard, for no justifiable reason. I can only imagine it is used for advertising/nefarious purposes. It can get anything you copied, no matter how sensitive it was.
Ok but not great
Good for a relaxing moment but some questions are a bit odd with mismatched similies eg forest v wood, ligament v tendon...they are not the same.

Just a couple of issues
This app is good, but I have a couple of issues. First, once in a puzzle it is impossible to get out without finishing. If you are having difficulty, you must jettison through solving. The other issue is that at least once each time I play I am offered "a more personalized experience", which means allowing the app access to my device. Beyond those things it is a fun game.
Great Game
Love this game. I suffer from bad anxiety and it’s a great way to take my mind off things. Different levels of difficulty and just the right game length. No problems so far.
Good game until the ads start
Enjoyed playing this game until the ads started, very long & unable to close them down without it jumping to the App Store so gave up in the end as it was taking too much time.
Really Not that good
Most of the clues relate perfectly to the answers but there are some clues which do not match. All crosswords have an anomaly caused by its setter. I could always get to the last two then find I am stuck and when I find the answer I just don’t believe it. Improves = Resolves. No. One resolves a problem. I would much prefer a harder perhaps cryptic crossword. It’s good for most people to pass the time and it’s not a greedy app. I recommend it for the average person.

Some of the worst clues ever. Many of them make no sense at all.
Nice little app
It’s a bit roughshod on the design, but otherwise a really nice little app. I would pay good money (up to £2) to remove the ads though, so I hope the devs can do something about that.
Helping me with my spelling
Just started to use this App for crosswords, still on level one, enjoying the layout and features, keeping my brain active, well most of the time, I think you would have to be a pretty bright 9 year old as some of the clues are not easy

Okay, a bit too difficult. Like functions
It is a good app for rlly experienced crossworders shall I say but it is too hard for me. Even on easy mode ok the smallest board I could not get any answers. I like the functions with the clues and hints and all that though. Most. Apps would have coins ect to use them but this works ok time and I like that a lot.

Clues are NOT good. Some don't make sense, some are confusing, some are misspelled, some are just stupid. I can't believe this is created by someone who speaks English as their first language. If it is, you need to use a dictionary.
Pros and cons
Decent game, nice choices of levels for easy to difficult, nice letter hint and word verification. Con: I find the clues given to be extremely vague or way off base on occasion.
