Cool app
I rarely take the time to write reviews, but 'Saylavy' absolutely deserves one. From the moment I started using it, I was genuinely impressed by how thoughtfully designed and effortlessly functional this app is. It has seamlessly integrated into my daily life, helping me stay on track and organized in ways I didn't think were possible with an application. The user interface is incredibly intuitive, making navigation a joy rather than a chore. Everything just *works* – smoothly and reliably. It's clear a lot of care went into crafting an experience that truly benefits the user. If you're looking for an app that genuinely enhances your productivity and simplifies your tasks without any unnecessary fuss, look no further. Five stars, hands down – it's become an indispensable tool for me!
I shouldn’t have let this app update
This garbage app used to be top-tier. They took away features just to add a sub subscription model. Stay away from this application.
Good App
Helps a lot , recommend 😊!!
Stressful
Most stressful payroll experience
En****tified
This used to be my favorite PDF reader on iPad. Since a few years ago, updates every now and then would give me splash screens trying to upsell me to more features. The latest are the extremely loud AI features. Now with Preview built into iOS I’ve found myself using this app less and less.
Integration
Please make an integration with ChatGPT as a plugin or something please!!!
To expensive
Cost way too much money for a pdf editor.
Love it!
Great app. Love all the features provided in free mode. Im not a heavy user so can you please consider a purchase for like a day or week or month only?? It could be months between use and it would be helpful to not pay during that downtime.
AI made it worse
No matter how many times you check the box to not open copilot automatically it still opens. It also seems to forget what document I had open now. Great app that is going downhill fast.
Clunky
Seemed to be the top choice for easy annotation of existing PDFs. Tried to fit it into my web page editing workflow and thoroughly bounced off. Not pencil-first. Very modal. I really want Preview level annotation PLUS the ability to easily -type- notes and this feels like I’m using Acrobat Pro instead :(
Does everything I need it to
I am an iphone user. I use this app for reading files. I love how I can highlight, underline, make notations in the file! I can easily save files to it from the web and upload files from it to my cloud accounts. Awesome app!
Have to Pay to Use.
I opened the app, immediately hit with the paid pro version offer. I tried to edit the text of my PDF, you have to pay for the pro version. I tried to convert it to a word doc; I have to pay for the pro version! The app is useless if you don’t pay. Hence, I deleted it. Good riddance.
Great app, but would be better with Apple Pencil Pro support
This is my preferred app for reading and annotating pdfs for academic work. My only gripe is that it doesnt support the Apple Pencil Pro. I’d love to be able to hide the toolbar and change tools via the squeeze gesture, which would allow me to work in truly full screen mode.
Use to be good
All my tabs are blank, the files are there, but have to open each one to see which one it is, as all the tabs show no title. PLEASE FIX!!!

لازم يكون فيه محادثه ومن غير فلوس
Wow just wow
I usually don’t care for paying for subscriptions to anything so I canceled this after seven days however, this thing is definitely worth it I just needed it from one document, but I would definitely buy it if I needed it.
No longer works
Can’t even open up a file from my iPad downloads. What’s the point? This was my favorite but haven’t used in a few years, clearly it’s changed for the worse.
apple账户无法正常登录

No-go on the endless subscription fee.
This is an excellent app, especially the fully featured pro version. Well worth a reasonable one time cost, with possible future functionality upgrades that could be available for an additional cost. I know developing software isn’t cheap. Except that everyone used to sell software for a fixed price and now everyone (almost) has gone to a subscription model. Not going to happen for me. I live on a fixed income and can’t afford to pay monthly or yearly for every app I own. I gave up on Adobe for this very reason. Plus their whole suite of software is an unholy mess: good luck uninstalling apps you don’t want. Lastly, I’m a normal guy with an iPhone, an iPad Pro, and a MacBook Pro. I might be mistaken but does one license not cover all my devices (using the same Apple ID)? I want to support Readdle and Ukraine but I can’t print money. I’m going to have to look at less expensive options. Sorry.
Sign in is useless for me
When attempting to sign in, it forces you to open you email on the same device your signing in on. I don’t have that email on the device. So I cannot sign in. Making the app useless for me.
Nice
Nice
Bad all worst ever
Do not pay for it or download reap off
Mr D
Love this app. The only critique I have is that after a recent IOS upgrade, the split screen feature is not the same and much more wonky to use. Please bring that back!
Used to be a great product. What happened?
UPDATE: With months of emails to PDF Expert complaining of constant freezing and crashing while always referencing my purchase of their original grandfathered one-time fee app, PDF Expert just completely severed my original features that were purchased years ago before they converted to a subscription service and now challenges whether my purchase ever existed, demanding proof of purchase! I have, today, received the following email: "...To check why the convert and merge features are no longer available on your device, could you please send us a screenshot of your PDF Expert purchase. If you bought it through the App Store, please share a screenshot of the receipt or your Apple purchase history showing PDF Expert (the lifetime/grandfathered purchase)..." After receiving much backlash, PDF agreed years ago to honor the paid features of the original one-time fee version through an announcement made on their website. To be clear, the “lifetime/grandfathered purchase” would have been only for features available before subscription conversion and I was fine with that. When I attempt to restore purchase from their app, I am able to execute and receive notice of "a successful restore of my purchase" but original purchased features have now been stripped. If there was, in fact, no one-time purchase or paid subscription a notice to that effect would be stated. I had decided before receiving this last email to subscribe to their monthly/yearly app service until reading the many current negative reviews of those with subscriptions. I don’t want to do business with a company that employs dishonest practice while producing what has become an unstable product. Now, I just want out! UPDATE: Will you please fix this app so I can get my files out of it!!! PDF Expert now freezes after ten minutes of use, frees up after a period of non use to refreeze again, repeats cycle a few times and then closes unexpectedly. I’m concerned I will lose my work. Resetting iPad Pro is not helpful; software is updated. It is not useable. There is a second major issue with PDF Expert Pro paid version that also forces me to “restore” each time I open. More importantly, the features grandfathered in that would typically return after restoring appear to be permanently disabled. I assume this is to encourage subscribing to the features I have already paid for. [I decided to subscribe on top of grandfathered in but decided not after reading negative reviews. Now, I just want out]. I don’t want to depend on unstable software and those tactics and am searching a better alternative for which I would pay three times their subscription price to somebody else.
Can't open account on 2nd device
Also, the payment process is inscrutable.
Love it since 2017
PDF Expert has been outstanding since I bought it in 2017. Reliable, fast, and packed with powerful features through years of updates I’ve never lost the tools I rely on. Excellent UI, smooth syncing, and top-notch PDF editing. Highly recommended.
BOO
Why on gods green earth is putting BLANK TEXT BOXES onto my PDF locked behind a PAYWALL. I’M GONNA LOSE I
为什么多层级文字文本无法阅读
多层级文字文本文件只阅读标题与排序编号，不阅读正文内容是怎么回事？
Search for the search function.
No obvious way to search documents. Also wonky start page. If I didn’t pay for this I would be gone.
Use to be better😞
I’m not sure why, but this app has stopped downloading parts of the articles I’m trying to save and annotate. The first year, the app downloaded the articles completely but the second year- it only downloads parts of the articles. Additionally, if you change the article to a PDF- there is some weird formatting. Disappointing.
Soutien
J’ai récemment eu à demander de l’aide par chat et j’ai reçu un service exemplaire.
Can’t edit text on graphic
It can’t edit text on graphic from my phone screen shot.
Syncing from devices
Syncing from devices is not as seamless as I thought.
Feature and UI bloat
First they removed paid-for pro features (years ago), now they've cluttered the UI with a ridiculous amount of features that are impossible to hide. And yet I cannot even find a way to move a file to an iCloud folder that I opened from my Files.app download folder. I used to like this a lot, but their insistence on placing all things AI in my face with no way to hide them is beginning to make me give up on the thing.
直接扣费无语
我只是下载打算试用，确认后直接扣费518，你这是什么神仙软件啊，退费中
No
not
It won’t let me cancel
I tried to cancel the app and it says unable to cancel. I don’t know if it’s this app or my phone, but it feels like a scam
Feature request
I love PDF Expert and its functionalities, but could you add bookmark colour customisation to a future version? That would work better than sorting by annotation colour for me. Thank you developers! Apart from this, everything is awesome
Disappointed in subscription
I just purchased a lifetime license for my Mac, and am so frustrated to find out there’s no way to actually purchase the app for my iPhone. Subscription models are just really getting on my nerves. I love Readdle’s products and use several of them, they are always very well made. But I definitely won’t be subscribing for this.
Only for one device？
I purchased this app on my Mac on 23rd October for £129.99, but I cannot find the purchase record on my mobile. Do I need to purchase the plan again? Wasn't it supposed to be usable simultaneously on iPhone, iPad, and Mac?
Good stuff
Just using for music and photos. Haven’t paid for the subscription but it works well for me without it.
Keeps on crashing
I love this app but recently it started crashing so often it became so annoying. It happens regardless of the pdf that I am using. Please fix that!
Edit
Once I get my head around all the features, it is very useful.
Frustrating
Not doing what I need
Impossible to cancel subscriptions
Just try and cancel the subscriptions and it is impossible to find the link
Best app
As estimator and office admin pdf expert is best for my everyday tasks. With search options I can easily jump to result. No drag. Best for me good luck to others.
Utter trash
This app deleted all of work.
Great app for on sit construction but
This app is not available for windows so unfortunately useless on my desktop.. as well why is the lifetime subscription not available for iPads and only Mac?? Make lifetime subscription for all platforms and you got yourself a lifetime user in me.. until than I’ll be using other platforms
Typical Rip-off Converting to Subriscription Model
No longer honours the one off permanent purchase made before the company’s conversion to a subscription model.
It’s good but limited for a subscription
First, I hate subscriptions. Especially for minor tools. Ok good. That’s out there. It’s a decent package but extremely basic. The text editing tools are like the most basic I’ve ever seen in the last decade. No styles. No global margins or guides. No kerning or spacing. Pretty much alignment, font and colour and that’s about it. Not really good enough for any serious or even basic text layout as it’s pretty tedious. Not quite sure where developers are taking it. It seems to get more expensive but not do anything more. As a converter it’s good but there’s hundreds of others out there that do the same. I’m persevering with it as started laying out a document but not sure how long I’ll stick with it and the cost really isn’t justified imo.
