Watch the renewal!
Not knowing they were about to charge a renewal fee, I accidentally used the app once in the four days between when the charge occurred and I noticed the charge. Instead of prorating, they expect to keep a $60 annual fee, for the one receipt I accidentally scanned!
2nd to none!
An excellent App with 2nd to none support group. Don’t shop anymore for a receipt tracking App. Not gonna find a better one than this.
Great in concept, fail in execution
I wanted so bad for this to be the solution I was looking for to manage my business expenses. It could have been the perfect solution for my needs. In practice 80% of the invoices I forward don’t get captured( “unreadable receipt”). and I have to manually enter the data. These are standard email receipts like Uber that should easily get read and captured. Ends up being more work than my previous manual system. So disappointed.
Better suited for business purposes
Not the best app for personal/household expense tracking of individual line items. Also, scanning was slow; does not extract and track individual line items.
Makes Receipt Tracking Effortless
Foreceipt is a fantastic app for organizing receipts and tracking expenses. The interface is clean, intuitive, and very easy to use. It saves time and keeps everything neatly in one place. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants a simple and reliable receipt management app.
No way to cancel
Subscription auto charges with no option to cancel on their website or in the app. I emailed support last week with no response. At this point I guess I’ll have to lock my credit card in order to cancel it.
Should be for free
For some reason, the app started charging money after only 328 receipts.
Used to be great, so buggy now
I've used this for years, but now the app crashes after every upload and it's impossible to export reports via pdf without getting a failed notice, no matter how many times you try on the desktop site with any browser. Only way to get my info for the year was with an excel sheet, after trying for over an hour. For an app we have to pay for, I wish they would fix it so my data for an entire year doesn't almost become pointless and lost.

I love this app whenever I need to find a receipt. I just find it in here. It’s worth a $.99 a month.

Great to save receipts hard to get reports
I love the ease of getting my receipts into the program, but the tax report is a struggle every year. Could be me but I am usually pretty good with these apps
Disappointing
Not as simple to use as it sounded. Weird things like if you enter a amount that is an exact dollar (I.e. it ends in .00 ) Foreceipt drops the “.00” Hard to figure out when it will add tax and how to change the tax amount. Many important functions can only be done from the website (rather than on the app).
Lack of support options
OCR was very fast and reliable, however, there are no options to customize reports, and personalized support is non-existent. The web-based FAQ system is buggy and sometimes displays articles from other vendors.

The currency select won’t allow me to search for any currency. Remains set to USD only. Looking to use AUD (Australian). I am try to test using the free version.

Life saver!
Since my encounter with the IRA a few years ago, I was encouraged by my replacement CPA to save my receipts in a shoe box for about 5 years. I’ve done that since. At least till a year ago. The problem with the receipts is the ink fade-away over time. Since finding Foreceipt I was reluctant and optimistic at the same time, but nonetheless gave it a try. Today I’m glad I did. Having digital receipt copies today is priceless. I would however like to see an improvement and functional budget feature in terms of recurring bills and also selected category sum.
Lack of response
Has this application been shut down? I’ve been trying all contact emails provided for months without reply. Hello? Anyone in there? Emails never answered I need my information for my taxes hello? Anyone alive in here??

This app makes my finances so much easier. No need to keep receipts for my accountant. It's all in one place.
Absolute trash.
Besides having a continuous issue with logging in, when it doesn’t kick me out and crash and I can manage to scan a receipt it instantly crashes. Screw this. Find a different app to use.
Was great until…….
Been using this app daily for years……downloaded the latest update and now I can’t log in and I get “ Error -3 The operation couldn't be completed. (org.openid.appauth.general error -3.)” Uggh!! Contacted Customer Service and they said I’ve been using a “legacy platform” that they haven’t supported in a long time….☹️. Problems persisted, shopped around for another app like Foreceipt but nothing could compare, ultimately, I created a separate new google account just for Foreceipt because I love the app so much. It’s worth the new google account, love the upgrades. 🙂
Functionality
Some of the functions don’t seem to work properly. When I try and sinc email receipts it doesn’t pick up any of the information from the email. Even when I go back into the expense the email is blank so I can’t even see what the expense rates to. Maybe I havnt figured it out yet but the reports are very limited. If I want to show a report for all fy18 in a particular expense category - it can’t even do this. The app has a lot going for it but needs some significant improvement still.
Can't handle receipt amount correctly
Tried to scan a Costco receipt it added up the GST twice...

I have used this app for 3 years and it’s amazing
All my 2024 receipts are missing
I used this app to upload my receipts for years, and am no longer a happy customer. The app has glitches. I just discovered that ALL my 2024 receipts are missing. I know I took pictures and scanned them. Where did they go? I need someone from forerecieipt to solve this. I can no longer trust the reliability of this app. And will be taking legal action if this is not solved.

Great app easy and very functional! But why is the word “checking” mispelled in the categories as chequing ?
"Free" is misleading
It's free for the first 50 receipts, then it requires a subscription.
Good but
New to it but like it. Don’t mind paying £1/mth. OCR good. Layout good. Batch scan would be good. Storage selection other than G Drive would be a bonus. But Work well. A Manuel would be good too! Needs desktop equivalent. Doesn’t seem to file by receipt dates, although it’s a setting you can choose but, doesn’t seem to work still picks created by date instead. Doesn’t allow UK date format.
Best app for tracking expenses
I’ve been using Foreceipt for a while now (for my Real Estate business), and it has truly simplified the way I manage my finances. The app makes it so easy to capture and organize receipts on the go—just snap a photo and everything is stored securely. I love that it generates clear, professional reports, which saves me hours of work at tax time. The interface is clean, user-friendly, and reliable, making tracking both personal and business expenses stress-free. Their customer service is excellent! They respond quickly and genuinely care. When I couldn’t access my account, they helped me recover it without losing any data, and did so in a secure and efficient way. Foreceipt is an excellent tool for anyone who wants to stay on top of their finances, keep records organized, and be fully prepared for tax season. Highly recommend!

Very nice program so far. It took a little while to figure out functions and reporting but I’m satisfied with the functions that apply to my needs. It would be nice if the display/interface could switch to landscape.
The app can't find internet connection.
Every time I scan a receipt it says that there is no internet connection so the synchronization will be done when internet connection is available. The thing is I already tried doing it on different days and always checking that the internet is perfectly ok, but it still will say the same thing about not internet available. I think that there might be a bug that doesn't let the app connect to the internet because the wifi here works fine with every other app.

Updated for the Worse!
Unfortunately, the newest updates has removed many key features and created a more confusing UI. I reached out to support, who seemed to suggest they were winding down operations. Long time paying user, now looking for an alternative.

Bugs everywhere
Unfortunately the expense categories is buggy once you start moving things around and categories show up all over the place after you synchronise. Also in newest version (24 Feb '15) receipt addition doesn't work!!
AI could be more flexible
It feels as if I am using a unprofessional app even though its very well designed and for god sake please update the rupee symbol!
