Best and most reliable service
Addison Lee is great and reliable.
Utterly useless
My first booking was for a car ASAP which was then shown as arriving in 35 minutes. I cancelled and was charged £21. No warning about this was shown until cancellation. By then I had no option. My second booking was for a courier. After 20 minutes I received no update so I called Addison Lee, who informed me it had been cancelled because they couldn't find a rider. I had to call them to find that out. Useless waste of time. I then asked whether business account customers receive priority. Yes they do! App deleted.
Problem resolved well, but poor initial service
My driver didn’t pick me up where I booked, and I was later hit with an unexpected extra charge. However, Addison Lee’s customer service team (Amy) handled my complaint quickly, refunded the charge, and are reviewing the driver. While the ride itself was disappointing, their aftercare was professional and fair.
App on US store but doesn't work in US?
I was trying to use this app to book a car for Heathrow when I landed but it apparently doesn't work overseas - which surely defeats the point for an airport pickup service. Why do they even list it? It IS accessible to users outside the UK BUT it doesn’t work for them. Why don’t they ONLY list it for the UK if it only works in the UK?
Urgency trumps planning
Doesn’t enable me to plan. I need to get somewhere at a specific time - I need to work backwards from the time and book a cab knowing I’ll get there on time. This app doesn’t enable you todo that it just puts pressure on you to book for fear of losing your pre inputted info

Allocating Cabs
Unfortunately it seems that you do not allocate a cab until it is free, if a driver is approaching a drop of location there would be better client interaction At present you say there is a 30 min wait so I made other arrangements, then suddenly you say tge driver is there. Not very good

Clunky, asked me to re-enter details 3 times. Needs to be looked at and brought up to date please !

You can’t copy and paste contact details or addresses into the app! And it can’t find my address and I can’t edit an address. Profoundly useless app.

Not a great app, but an excellent car service
First of all, the service that Addison Lee provides is excellent. Unfortunately, it's not reflected in the ease of use or features on the app itself. The app doesn't allow one to see reservations unless they were booked through the app, and even then, it's not easy to figure out how to find them. Even more annoying is that notifications come in and disappear and are not easily retrieved through the app. Finally, I could not find a way to find a phone number to call Addison Lee. Perhaps some of these difficulties were because I just got them off of the long flight, but I think the app needs some serious rework.

Arrival Time is Misleading!
When you initially turn the app on it shows several cars in and around your area and then once you commit to ordering a car and one is dispatched to you your told 10+ min.
Easy and Straightforward booking
First time for a while using the App - and was able to organise a pick up for my boss and his wife from LHR T3 - good booking and transparent price - let’s hope the flight arrives on time

Copy Paste on app
You need to allow copy paste on phone numbers nobody in 2025 can memorise phone numbers
Can't login
I am an account customer. Every time the App is updated (which has been often recently) I can't login - my account details are not recognised. Calling the customs help number doesn't help, as nobody knows anything about the App. Why does this keep happening? The App used to work really well but now it can't recognise a longtime corporate user. Pretty ridiculous.
Easy & Professional Service
I have used the van service to take my belongings to and from my storage unit, from Camden to East London. Such a reasonable price, easy to book, easy app, lovely drivers.
Unreliable and unprofessional
We had booked 3 cars for our wedding with specific instruction and timing, weeks in advance. Only 2 cars showed up with 30min delay. We had to order another taxi in emergency otherwise we would have missed our own wedding. They even had the nerves to still charge us for the 2 cars that ended up arriving. Absolutely unprofessional and not what AL used to be. I will never ever use this company in the future.
Quick, easy, but no quotes
Quick easy booking; however new app has fatal flaws - it doesn't provide a quote before confirming the booking anymore in this new version and you're unable to cancel without calling. Please update this app.
