App tracking / spying
Every time I have this app open a notification pops up on my phone that says “scanning phone.” My suspicion is they’re selling your data for revenue but it’s pretty creepy. Hard pass.
Setting
I like everything about this app except 2 things. 1) When you click on a blank slot, it highlights the possible number options. There’s no setting to turn this off. UGHGHG it gives away the answer. 2) way too many ads.

The game is fine but an ad keeps making my phone go off and it sounds like an emergency alert but it’s an ad in them game. It’s very annoying and $20 is too much to pay for no ads
Love the colors
The colored circles make this just about the easiest sudoku app around. Definitely easier and more pleasant to use than just a plain black and white arrangement.
Ads, No Difficulty
Got an ad before even playing after changing to dark mode. Got an ad before even playing while trying to go into settings to change the difficulty, which apparently can’t be done. You developers did plenty to set your game apart from others but in the wrong direction.

My favorite Sudoku so far. I took off a star because $20 to remove ads is shameful imo.
Stopped loading
Thanks for the update, now it doesn’t load at all. It was a slow loading app before the update, now I’m just looking at the cute elephant and no sudoku.

Great Mind Stimulant’s
What a great game , I am 82 yrs and love this game. I’m a avid crossword solver and li do about 6 a day to keep brain active . This color game is terrific, after 4-6 games since the day I got the Sudoku App, it is my daily go do for fun. So addictive 🥰👍

I couldn’t get settled to play the game because I wanted to change the settings. Every time I did I got a new ad. I had three ads before I even tried the puzzle. I abandoned it.

I purchased rights to this app with no advertisement a few years ago. Guess that had an end or someone rewrote everything so that I no longer have that.
Ads are out of control
Nice looking app, but the ads are seriously out of control. And you can’t close them for what feels like a full minute. I was looking for something for my elderly (and very hard of hearing) mother-in-law to play while in the hospital but the ads were too frustrating for her. She kept asking how to close them and I kept saying, “You can’t yet!” I wasn’t going to charge her Apple account $20 for the premium edition so I deleted this one and found something much simpler, with less ads that only stay on the screen a few seconds.

I’m sorry but who in their right mind in America would buy this app for $20??? I downloaded this app maybe 7-8 years ago. The ads were not that bad. Now, I feel like I can’t even play the game because I’m watching an ad every 10 seconds. I just downloaded onto my new phone & all I’ve done is watch ads in the few minutes I’ve sat here hoping to do some sudoku. What I like about the game is that it’s customizable in the appearance & other things. It’s easy to focus on each number you’re working on throughout the puzzle. But the ads just make me feel ridiculous trying to play this. I suckered down & thought let’s just buy it but at $20??! I’d rather buy an actual sudoku book. I feel like the creator took a great game & made it purely about monetary gain. Which I agree is important to an extent but this is just a ridiculous stretch.
Fun… but…
I like the functionality of the game. The ads that take FOREVER are so bad that I will just close the app and go to another one. The adds that more than the length of time I need to understand what it’s about are obnoxious. You have to wait til the ad is done, you can’t finish it early.
Great game horrible ad platform
The sudoku game is great and I do love how it works. The issue is with their ad platform. They have the old typical banner ad that is 100% acceptable but any time you finish a game or move away from the game, you get a full page ad with sound that you can’t close for a good 30+ seconds. I am looking at other versions of sudoku due to this.
Advertisements are too long
Not impressed with how long the ads take to complete. I do not mind watching a the ads, but when I have to wait 2 minutes (I timed them) for the same as for a game and no idea when they are complete. I will no longer be using this sudoku app.

internet?
i love this game, i enjoy playing it and everything. i find myself just on my phone with this app fit hours! however, the only qualm i have is that i can’t stand how i have to be connected to the internet to start the game up. why? why does a sudoku game need wifi to open? when i wanted to play this game on the plan, i found that i couldn’t sbc it was stuck on the loading screen. (maplemedia and the elephant) until i closed out if it. i was so disappointed with this because other than that, the app/game is amazing!
Pretty, But Terrible with Ads
I’ve played this version of Sudoku for a long time now. I get ads between games, but now after an update, even if I switch to check texts or have to temporarily turn off my screen, I come back to the game and ANOTHER ad appears mid-game. I considered paying to remove the ads, but I am personally not willing to pay $20 to remove the ads with the other sudoku options out there.

Ads have gotten more obtrusive and annoying
I really liked this game for several years. I understand that ads are needed to support the free games. However, a recent change means that the ads get in the way of actually playing the game because of their placement on the screen. The last straw today was when I couldn't get rid of a Dr. Oz ad. Every time I clicked the X, a new doctor Oz page would come up. So I deleted the app. There are plenty of other Sudoku games that aren't so annoying!
Needs automatic notes option
I love this game but would like it even more if it had an automatic notes option. One other thing that it needs if for the number coloring to also apply to notes (for example when looking at the 2’s - all of the 2’s are highlighted in yellow -even the notes).
Use to be my favorite game
I use to love this app! I’ve had it and played it for a long time. I use to play this app multiple times a day. It was a good way for me to take a quick break and decompress. The most recent update brought ads. Before this hey had a kind of placeholder for the ads, but that could be quickly x’ed. Now the ads are long and hard to get rid of. They don’t just come at the end of a game or the beginning of a new game, they come every time I open the app. If I have to interrupt my game to briefly move to another app, such as to answer a text, when I return to the game (and I’m not talking about reopening the app, but just being away from it for even a few second) I get another long ad. It’s become so frustrating that I’ve decided to delete the app and instead play my second favorite app by a different make of sudoko or return to playing puzzle pages. If the ad were less often or were a mix of longer ads and short, single photo/page ads, I could probably tolerate it. My son is a game designer, so I appreciate that everyone deserves to earn money for their work. But the way they changed the game and added the ads is so intrusive and time consuming that the app is no longer fun.
Noisy ads
I like the app and all the colors, but I don’t like the ads that come on playing at full volume at nighttime. Going back to my previous sudoku app.

This is by far the best Sudoku app I have found. Have enjoyed for many hours!

Way too many ads. They're nearly constant, at least 30 seconds each before you can skip them, and it costs $19.99 to remove them. The colors are cute and the game itself is fine. The ads are just unbearable.

Great...until the last update.
I really loved this version of Sudoku. I liked it so much that I finally decided to pay for the ad-free version. Perfect. And then the last update happened to the OS. But there was no update for this app. Now, it just hangs on the opening screen that says “Maple Media.” I tried going to the website for support. That was a mystery. Very disappointed. Would NOT recommend it.
App stops opening
The app stops loading after playing a few times. Just sits there at the loading screen.
Would be higher but they ripped me off
I actually bought this app, paid 20 bucks for it. Then one day it locked up. I had to delete it and reload. And when I ‘opened’ it back up from the App Store I guess I no longer ‘own’ it as all the ads are back. Very disappointed.
Deleting
I have played this app for a long time. After it was accidentally deleted I downloaded it again. Now there are terrible ads and $19.99 to get rid of them. What a shame.

Ads
Soooo many ads. Restart a puzzle, ad. Open the app, ad. In the middle of the game, ad. These aren’t short ads either that you can skip, some are up to 45 seconds long then you have to wait again to exit out of it. If your lucky, it won’t give you another before you start the game. There’s so many other apps out there that just let you play. Would definitely recommend others.
Great design for an old classic
Very good overall...adverts on a game like sudoku is a bit tiresome and unnecessary but I guess the app is a good interpretation; albeit some of the functions allow for the sudoku to be solved too easy. Which holds some merit for people who like myself are not complete sudoku wizards :)
Was good...
I have played this game for years. It was my favorite because of the levels and colors. I even had the full version without ads. Recently, though, the app wouldn’t load. I tried everything I knew of to fix it, but it wouldn’t get past the opening screen. I eventually uninstalled it, losing all my stats. This broke my heart! I reinstalled it, restored purchases, and it worked for a day. Now, it won’t load again. I uninstalled it again. I guess I’ll try to find another sudoku to play.

This is my favorite version of sudoku, or at least it was. Now every time I try to play it the game freezes while the banner ads try to change. It is totally frustrating. I guess I’ll have to find a new favorite.
