The app is quite buggy. None of the embedded videos play ! No dark mode. So am uncomfortable using it in the night. Ads pop up even for paid version. So there is no point subscribing or evening using this app.

I have pushed for new updates and then itβs getting automatically shutdown after 2 seconds Whenever I try to open the new updates app.

It is well designed, giving us insights and analysis of daily news all over the world. At present the apps gives facility vertically to read the news but it will add more stars if you would introduce horizontal view to read the news. Wish you all the best.
Why I am still receiving ads
I have subscribed to Gulf News Online hoping that I will not receive any ads Advertisement But unfortunately I am still receiving ads. This is not fair.

I am happy to read Gulf Newspaper every day which provides latest news about UAE and world news I request you to reintroduce questions and answers page again in Friday magazine Rahiman India
Many articles are behind paid wall scheme
I have been a an avid gulf news reader for more than 23 yrs until gulf news came into an app . Now a days , Iam unable to read gulf news paper since I came to India but only thru gulf news app β¦ but many of your articles are behind pad walls which is very disappointing and leave me unable to To read my fav newspaper and keeps Me a ways from whatβs gking in UAE..
Great local coverage
The Gulf news is a good local news paper. Local coverage is excellent and keeps us residents well informed on local events and sports. There is however room for improvement on the Finance and business coverage as the articles lack global professional depth.
Poor content quality and now needs to be paid to read
Gulf news used to have some quality journalism. Now it has deteriorated significantly and at the same time they need us to pay to read their content on certain categories. I donβt think the content quality is at a point where I would pay for it.

Works ok on iPhone but cannot read in Landscape mode on the iPad.

Awesome upgrade
The new format is very refreshing. I love everything about it. From the videos,prayer times,top stories,etc, along with the carousel swiping makes the app very enjoyable now. I'm glad to see you all raising the bar and constantly striving for improvement.

I mean seriously??? What different news GN is going to provide where else rest of the news app provide the news for free??? Follow the tradition, not the trend.

Seriously, every other news app out there has landscape and portrait mode. Who runs your UI/UX design? After all the trouble of an update to version 4, I cannot believe I still need to rotate the iPad off its keyboard/stand just to read your news.

I Removed the App
I am fed up with this App because We canβt read the latest news without subscribing. Constantly asking for a paid subscription to get the updated news. Eventually, I deleted this app from my mobile. Better seek google for the latest newsπ
Notification settings
It would be nice if you let us choose what notifications we want to receive from the app. It sends a notification to phone every 5 minutes irrespective of the fact whether the person is interested in those certain type of news or not.
Notifications control
The app is great, clean neat interface and relevant information. The only negative is the notifications every 5 minutes which can not be controlled. If you include an option where user can choose the topics for alerts it would be great. Further the notifications are repeated, sometimes same news alerts come in 2 or 3 notifications. Notifications are good but not for every news item since not all interested, and imagine if these notifications repeat! Please do something about this.

Too many Indian news notifications
It would be helpful if you could develop the app to allow a person to control the amount and subject of notifications received. The app seems to focus on minor Indian based articles rather than breaking news and UAE and global news. Is Gulf News only targeting an Indian audience?

Stop HSBC pop up
I am unable to read or watch news on your Gulf news application , since there is an advertisement of HSBC bank popping up and that is not allowing to view. I tried all changes in settings but it will not disappear. Kindly advise.

Dear Gulf news app developers, Kindly fix the bug which is related to the display of upcoming prayer details. Scenario: The app shows upcoming prayer as Asr whenever it must ideally show duhr time. Meaning, before duhr it always shows Asr and never shows duhr. Although the app looks fantastic. Nice segregation of content. Keep up the good work Regards, Sait
