Brill
I love this app up to date news etc Well done
What bright spark has changed the comments to a light grey box and white text?
Very difficult to read
Manchester local news
I am a Premium subscriber to the Mirror, I have been able to access my Manchester local news feed for years, but now cannot load it, what is the problem with this and can it be sorted, I reside in Manchester and it’s nice to see what’s happening in my local area, please fix this.
Where’s my newspaper
Hate this I want my newspaper back that I can read like a newspaper that’s why I subscribed
Needs a design refresh
Fresh install, Home Screen shows only Want More header, My News is empty. Only after logging in and selecting topics do I get to see articles. This is bad and most users will just uninstall at that point. Home Screen still empty except for the 3 live events accessible via the top right button. UI needs a big refresh, this look feels dated. Fonts feel basic. Spacing are inconsistent and kinda bad. App needs a redesign and a simple design system. No obvious fancy AI features, overviews, screen readers. No easy reading mode. Bleh. Let’s give the old 🌮 app some love huh!
Good App
It's interesting especially the sometimes speculative comments
Used to be good
This used to be a good app for scrolling through for random articles, some completely irrelevant but the odd one that wasn’t to useless. But now all they want is for you to pay for the decent articles and you can only view 15 free articles a week. Deleted and I’ll be better off for it!!
Not Good
The mirror app is so bad there is a constant grammar error and sometimes I feel like it’s written by a child and no one ever proof read it and then the news is old news and stays far too long
The app
Now all out for subscription! Used to be the best but not now xx
Used to be good
The comment section is almost unusable now for a start you can’t see what your typing you have to keep going in and out of the comment to see what your writing and if you actually send it there is no way to edit it after sending to correct any mistakes also there’s now less and less articles your allowed to comment on, and your not allowed to write certain everyday words no more
Excellent news
Excellent Quality content
Charging to use the app
This app is now a joke taking the piss trying to make people pay for the use of the app no reason other than making money when you used to be able to read all of the news for nothing, so that is why I’ve deleted the app
Me
Excellent app informative & up to date
What a shame
I’ve always used the Mirror News app. It would be my first choice of news source but I’ve deleted it today because now I can only read 15 articles and then I’m expected to pay or go elsewhere so it’s time to find a new News app.
Poor writing
The app itself is fine however the quality of the writing is abysmal. Spelling and grammar errors on almost every story as well as terminology best left down at the local pub rather than in a so-called newspaper. As pretty much the only left leaning mainstream paper in the UK I had hoped for better.
Great
I am so happy to have this app, I was born in the UK and still have family there. So I like to see what is going on.
Money Money Money
That’s what’s killing the world and you’re just joining in!!!
Review
Not bad for lot of news on sports and gloss
New version is awful
The app really doesn’t seem mobile friendly will story boxes hiding behind each other or falling off the page. Was it even tested before it was released?
Difficult text
The titles and previews are all I read. If I go into the article the text is difficult to read. Too close together and annoying font.
Review of everyday life in the UK
A lots of fun and interesting to read the news and articles in Mirror.
15 story limit
Adding a 15 story limit to the app is ridiculous, it is already littered with ads. I will not pay to read more. Uninstalled.
Sport fun
Great app I recommend for everyone specially for sport fun
Annoying irrelevant notifications
Two issues why i am on the verge of deleting 1) sending me notifications for celeb nonsense even though my preferences are set to avoid that. 2) if you click on a notification you do want to see immediately when it comes through the content isn’t there and you can’t find the notification again
Patience required
Good items to read but you don’t always get to read as the ads keep jigging everything up and down, sometimes disappearing from screen or the page completely disappears to reveal complete blankness. I don’t have the patience anymore to reload and try again for the same result.
Good morning Mirror
Love having the daily mirror on my iPad so I get all the latest news from the U K it’s loaded with great stories I would not see els where thank you Daily Mail.
Gutted!!!
I’ve used the Mirror app for years now and love settling down to see what’s going on in the world BUT after years of using and enjoying your app for free I’m afraid I’m not up for paying a monthly subscription. The 15 free articles A WEEK is a joke, I get through that in a day!!! Absolutely gutted but I’ll be deleting the app now. I thought The Mirror was for ‘the people’ is you’re just trying to screw us over too 🤨
Very good content
Allows me to keep up with all the latest goings-on in the UK with a solid, reliable mobile app.
Aa the
AK Is my G
Still simping for price
The inability of this paper to write anything even remotely critical about certain UK zelebrities is obvious. Combined with the moderators not allowing any comments critical even when facts are being presented shows a clear bias.
Vickie Richard
I really have been enjoying it. Thank you.
App now deleted
Apparently I can now only read 15 articles a month. Why? I still have to view all the intrusive ads. No thanks. I have deleted the app.
Great app - FIX CRASH!!!
Have had this app since last year and use it daily, but now it keeps crashing and won't get past the Mirror logo! Please fix asap!!!
Rubbish App
The news content is fine, and that’s as far as it goes. Irrelevant adverts that are misleading. Poor graphics compared to biggest competitor, definitely a third rate attempt at producing a news app. Shame really as the news content makes for good reading.
Can’t create an account
Register via Apple, using Hide My Email, fails.
Where’s the Comments section?
I enjoy the site but few weeks ago the Comments sections disappeared. Very disappointing. 13/08/20: Timely response with explanation received. Thank you.
Bye bye
Having just been alerted to the fact that I have reached my weekly limit of “free” access to articles, it is time to consign this app to the bin. Do you want people to engage in current affairs, or have you simply morphed into a draconian money making, low rent, devoid of moral fortitude group? Wow, you really do value Nigel Farage now.
Great app
Great app better than the suns app
Music
Every time I open the App I get some awful music in the background! What’s that all about? Stopped using the App now.
Cant comment
Keep getting error message 1226. Please advise how to fix so I can continue to comment
Compact.
Nice phone edition of my favorite rag!
APP DELETED
The app has gradually been getting worse with adverts and now, you can only click on 15 articles a week and then you have to pay for more. APP DELETED
Review
Up to date, informative, fun and newsy
Poor quality articles and far too politically biased
So many mistakes in grammar and spelling plus the piss poor articles, gave me no choice but to remove the app. Update: Latest version keeps locking up my iPhoneXR.
Poor newsworthiness.
Too gossipy. Even after I requested less celebrity news, I still get more of it than I can stomach
The Mirror
Live in the States so cannot get my hands on the mirror I first read 60 years ago but the next best thing the Mirror app.
Wouldn’t bother anymore
Since update introducing premium there are too many articles you have to pay for, also just got a message that I’ve reached my limit of 15 free articles for the week, this is also after multiple ads all over the App. Deleted now, would recommend getting bbc news instead or anything which isn’t trying to rob you
Great for those of us who live abroad
Great app nice and smooth Easy to use
Not worth reading
This app was entertaining and offered up to date news. Now it looks like a coloring book for idiots!
Needs Better Organization
Needs better organization and a better sports section
