App runs smoothly, always new features being added, NO ADVERTS, easy to read pages and a peerless source of information in the region and beyond.
Register to read articles and does not redirect to the app from social media apps like X
I scroll through X and see the national headlines, but when I click on the article I cannot read it because I have to register to read it. I already have a registered account on the app, yet from X I cannot go to the app it just cancels the article. Makes me want to delete the stupid app. Whose idea was it to force a registration to ready ANY article?? At least redirect to the app if you’re going to force to register every single time.
An issue to rectify
Hi, There is a small issue I face... when I go to any sub section and read the news and come back to the main sub section it goes to the top of the sub section... I have to again scroll through the sub section to find where I was earlier. Could you please rectify it.
The cache is not cleared
I have noticed that app is storing the data / caching the data which is not cleared!! Unnecessary usage if space!! 2.28 gb of data has been stored on my phone by this app! Check in Settings-> General-> iPhone storage
August 2024 Version Steps Backwards
The writing in this paper is often interesting and different from what you read elsewhere, so it’s a shame the app stepped backward in the latest version. The app used to allow you to easily toggle between general news and news by regions and topics, but that is gone. It also had photos with each article, providing relief from the wall of text that is now more prevalent. Worse, every time you open the app users now have to dismiss the notification alert. National, please do better. Your content deserves a better app.
Impressive tabloid application
The customization features are a great improvement to this app. I like seeing news that is relevant to me
Notifications
I don’t need to be reminded about notifications turned off every time I open the app. There off for that reason- not to be bugged for every change- I’ll look when I want to
Great app, but ...
Please could the designer look at the following: When opening an article and then wanting to go back to the homepage, it always navigates back to the very first article. Please could it take you back to where you were on the homepage and not back to the top?
iPhone X and above support
It’s been a quite numbers of years since the iPhone X got released but till now the app is not resigned to work with the newer OLED iPhones.
Headlines Fonts size
Fonts size should be big so it can attract the readers to read the article.

Not worth👎👎
It hangs the phone the moment you start the app.. have uninstalled 3 times.. bit still the same issue..
Great when it works
But, half the time, it crashes when trying to open or when opening an article. Not reliable.
Best newspaper in UAE
Best part is more number of good news are highlighted than bad news. Good to start the day fresh the positive news everyday.

Unstable and unworthy of keeping alive
New app keeps crashing. Year old issue of app taking you back to top when returning from an article is still there. My question is - why do this half heartedly? If you have no motivation to read these reviews and improve the app, why bother then to even keep the app in the store? Disappointing!!! Not befitting Abu Dhabi, a world leader in so many aspects putting up with this willful mediocrity!
I want it to better
My favorite English paper in the UAE, but the website on mobile is better than the app. the app just seems like a smaller version of the website but the fonts are tiny and its just not appealing...it needs to be revamped for the mobile.

I am unable to scroll the pages ...i am using ios version 14.4.2

THIS NATIONAL NEWS APP WAS DOWNLOADED TODAY AND ISN'T WORKING. I TRIED TO DELETE IT, SO I COULD DOWNLOAD IT AGAIN, BUT IT WON’T LET ME. IT’S JUST GOING AROUND IN A CIRCLE. PLEASE HELP ME DELETE IT!!! IT IS CRASHING AND CONTINUING TO RUN... NOT GOOD!!!
Latest update messed up everything
As soon as you open the app, it force quits
Content is good. App is poor though.
The National web site is very good and I hoped the app would compliment it, but it doesn’t. The app is not configured for the 11 pro max screen, but worse than that it is buggy. The screen can freeze or just refuse to load (especially if you press the back button). I’ll stick with the web site in future thanks. I don’t have the required patience to use this app.
iOS 13 Not sure though
I am using iPhone X running on iOS 13 not able to scroll this app down becoz of which not able to navigate to below news update at all 😞😞😞 Plz fix this
