Beta testing while paying for a premium app?
My friend insisted that I download this app to communicate with him. Turns out heâs an app developer for it. So I paid $100 for the year, and as I found bugs, I reported them to him showing him screenshots, etc., and he kept demanding that I show him more and more. I was convinced that my computer had been hacked and maybe it was by him or by his stupid app. I would avoid this thing at all cost. Itâs a lot of aggravation.

Jâutilise quotidiennement les mails et câest pour moi important. PlutĂŽt classique dâhabitude, je me suis laissĂ© tentĂ© par Spike et jâai plutĂŽt bien aimĂ©. Quelques Ă©lĂ©ments nĂ©cessiteraient sans doute dâĂȘtre optimisĂ©s : le compte client lorsque vous ĂȘtes abonnĂ©s, la gestion des contacts par exemple. Ce serait utile aussi dâĂ©purer lâinterface qui reste trop chargĂ©e, parfois inutilement. Edit : HĂ©las lâiA est venu tout gĂącher en sâimposant et servant de prĂ©texte Ă une augmentation considĂ©rable du prix dâabonnement (sans autre choix). Spike nâest plus concurrentiel et nâest plus tout public.

Great idea - poor follow through
I came here because Vusi T. gave you guys a raving review and overall I really like the idea of spike and am an active user but the delays, bugs, and just overall user experience for the iPhone app is pretty bad. Often the app freezes up, it doesnât send emails sometimes (pretty fundamental to an email app) there are certain buttons that just donât work and symbols that have no explanation anywhere. I tried to leave feedback internally and the app froze up and wouldnât even take my review. The only reason this gets a 2nd star is because I like the concept of the app and the web browser version isnât too bad! I think I need to move on and uninstall on iPhone but let me know when you guys fix the issues.
Only missing features
My biggest complaints are that there is no easy way to quickly delete emails like in other softwares, also having some way to auto select unimportant emails would be nice. And itâs weird that every email you receive says spike on it.

Great on Mac not iPhone
Have 4 email accounts on iPhone and app is so laggy. Itâs not even usable and keeps crashing when trying to reply to messages etc. might work well for 1 but on Mac I have 12 email accounts and app is fantastic. Using iPhone 15 Pro Max.

âI want my $2â
So this app appears to do things. But so far all I have been able to do is connect an account. Start a free trial and now itâs in a death lock on a screen to immediately start a paid subscription (itâs only been 30 minutes in of the 7 day trial. ) I have yet to check an email, test any features, see if this is the solution that I have been searching for. And the thing that has me most annoyed is the âwelcome â to the app offered a year for just $99. Not bad. But to get past the âI want my $2â lock screen to actually use the app, itâs $148 for the year. I would like to point out I did attempt to reach out to support but it kept taking me back to the app thatâs got a one track mind.

I know everyone says how easy this is but it honestly didnt work for me. I want to see proper emails not thought bubble like a text message. Now that Im trying to close and cancel my account, thats proving very hard to do as well.

Neurodivergent Blessing
I like Spikeâs method of email interaction. The messaging look and feel seems less imposing because of its cleaner interface and focus on writing without having to see superfluous information such as headers and sender details. I love the way the inbox is laid out so that the focus remains tight and uncluttered. As a neurodivergent person, I find Spike to be the most accessible email client because its efficient use of information means Iâm not overwhelmed like I had been with typical email layouts. The sender-focused method makes sense intuitively and Spike successfully gives us a great way to interact with email.

Payments amounts in app donât match charges
Iâm pretty sure that the app prices are based on foreign costs. When looking at purchasing I was presented with a charge that was double what the app was asking for. Pretty poor experience as a customer.

Would be 5 stars if the app had: - Zoom/Teams integration (not going to use the native one) - Inline embed video and pictures Would also be good to know what is coming on the horizon or what has just been released. Could well be me not looking, but keen to know what is coming down the pipe.

Autre point, il faut dĂ©connecter le mail Icloud de tous vos appareils pour que le mail Icloud fonctionne dans Spike. Et mĂȘme avec cela certains mails ne sont pas distribuĂ©s. Concernant le support de Spike (chat), ils sont peut-ĂȘtre gentils, mais ils ne rĂšglent aucun problĂšme, voire aucune rĂ©ponse. Gmail issues
Love the app. Issues: calendar entries canât be created from emails. Data has to be entered manually. Emails canât be linked to the calendar entries either. Most annoying: I have to keep reauthorising my gmail accounts. I have 3 gmail accounts and I use spike on 3 devices, so itâs a royal pain in the backside! Update Aug 2022: search is now restricted to just 1 month. To look beyond requires a premium tier. Search is one the best features of google and saves one the hassle of tagging and sorting mails and attachments. By hobbling a feature that is free with the email provider, this app is fundamentally detracting from the user experiencing. No other feature redeems itself enough. Deleting today

Can't chat with anyone, Doesn't let me get out of the paying option. I used it once for free and now it just keeps asking me to pay for it, Not everyone can buy things just to chat with others.
Great app
I have been using spike for are while now. And itâs a great email app. It would be great if we could read emails in landscape mode as well. As, sometimes you receive emails that the writing is so small when you own up the email to read it.

La crĂ©ation de sous-dossiers serait une belle avancĂ©e et plus que nĂ©cessaire Je travaille avec une autre application identique Ă la vĂŽtre dans son principe / laquelle permet cette fonction et surtout mes boĂźtes natives le permettent .. Poor customer service
I tried the app, paid for a month, then decided the app wasn't for me. Contacted the Spike guys and asked them to delete my account and stop billing me. They sent a confirmation that my account was deleted and they would stop billing me. Then they billed me the following Month. How hard can it be to connect the dots. Just hope you don't have to work with their customer service!
Organises well improvements needed in how it shows email contents
Organises emails very well based on contacts and much easier read. Some suggestions: - calendar integration with apple calendar and in general organising meetings with video via FaceTime will be great value - easier to reply like text message which works for such emails but alot of other cases with detailed content editor needs to improve - should be easy to forward an email

I like the concept of Spike but still some issues to sort, search function average, some emails disappear (can be found by searching the person, sometimes) and forwarded emails not being sent despite a message showing they had.

This style app isnât for me but had a nice look and feel. I canât for the life of me stop them sending me emails which is really annoying. No unsubscribe option!

I will eventually move to this but is there a way to turn off the Signature? It always sends the end user that itâs sent via Spike. This will eventually corrupt all my sent emails if I ever choose to switch back.
