New App Crashes on IOS 27
Hello, I have just moved to an iPhone 18 Pro running iOS 27. HyperLingua crashes every time I try to open it. I have already: * Restarted the iPhone * Deleted HyperLingua completely * Reinstalled the latest version from the App Store It still crashes immediately after opening. Could you please advise? I would really like to continue using HyperLingua for learning Italian. Thank you, Charles
the best language app imho
the focus on actually speaking sentences is excellent, however the AI pronunciation ( for Italian) needs some improvement, especially the „females“ make errors
Awesome app
Got really exited about this app though the YouTube video about the method and I can see that it may be a very effective method. However the app constantly says I'm offline while I have the strongest connection on 5G and WiFi. I'm in China though so it might be that the app experiences some of the internet restriction here and requires a VPN... but it's weird coz it does work without but erratic.
I like it but
My only problem is many Japanese sentences seem like they were created from Google Translate. Not all wrong but I don’t want to learn sentences that are not correct. I believe in Mikel’s system and will continue to use.
Anki but better
I’ve used a lot of apps and methods before and this is it for learning vocabulary.

Missing Vietnamese! Big one!
No th for Spain Spanish?
I am starting and have not yet encountered the proper pronunciation using “th” instead of “s” sound even though I have chose Spain Spanish. Will this be addressed soon? I must correct / figure out for myself which kind of defeats the purpose? I do not get to hear the correct pronunciation to practice! Maybe it is correct in other parts but I have not yet encountered the correct “th” sound. This app is not cheap for me- I should get refund until it is correct. Having said all that, I love the concept but I want to hear the CORRECT pronunciations! Why show Spain as an option if the sounds arent correct?
Almost Perfect
1) There are dozens of wrong audio instances in the Spanish Cafe Island and the Spanish Restaurant Island that still haven’t been fixed although I’ve reported / flagged them over a month ago and on several occasions. These errors make about half of the material in these sections unusable. 2) I love the dual language feature but hate that it doesn’t apply to imported text. I know this is a new app but would love for dual language playback in imported content to be developed. Once this feature is implemented and the errors are fixed, I will solely use this app for language learning—it is an excellent app in every other way. Until then, I am going to cancel my pro subscription and stick with Audio Flash app.

I don’t want to leave a bad review and I will update it as soon as I am able to get my issue resolved. I was told something about my subscription and I sent the email to support with my screenshot. My subscription does not reflect what I was told and I haven’t heard anything back nor is my subscription fixed. Please help. Thank you for your time.

They promised unlimited Language Islands with the Pro+ subscription. Even with that subscription, I was limited.

Too many empty promises
Too many mistakes and no fixes
Love the app but there is problem.
I went Pro this morning and spent 45 minutes walking my dog while listening via the Dual Language feature. This is a terrific enhancement. Thank you. HOWEVER, I then downloaded some vocab for offline listening. The app consequently crashed. It would not reload so I deleted the app and reinstalled. The app still will not load in my iPhone. I get a spinning wheel that does not resolve. I know this is a growning pain and am certain you'll get it addressed. If I could suggest that perhaps you start a Discord channel where we can communicate our experience without having to do it in this fashion. That would afford you the ability to hear from and communicate with your members without having to do it in a public forum like YouTube or the App Store. Looking forward to getting the app fixed. Your work is much appreciated.
Ridiculous price
I was very fond of this app and used it quite often. There were a few aspect which made it feel that the app is still in progress. Now with the new paywall it’s an absolute joke. Paying 10€ a month to unlock 3/4 th of the app?? Which is just an AI voice reading sentences??? A lot of the translations are mediocre and the interface really isn’t worth this much money. I hope they can change something as soon as possible
Has potential
I like the language island concept and shadowing capability. I’m using it to study Japanese. I wish the voice over could be changed like other TTS services. It would also be nice to be able to edit sentences in a language island instead of having to reupload. And I wish we could adjust the sentence order. I’ve noticed when I upload Japanese text, I notice the pronunciation is sometimes off or the kanji is not correct once uploaded. If I were a complete beginner, I would not have noticed these errors.

Fancy App that Fails
This App is a poorly implemented knock-off of other apps like DuoLingo that make huge promises that naive learners will buy into… they’ll spend money on this over-priced subscription and waste time and energy only to find they’re results are minimal. Definitely NOT the way to get fluent. The guy who promotes this made a video basically saying “apps fail” but then puts out another app (that isn’t even the best on the market) and says “buy MY app plan”. It’s a snake-oil approach to language learning. I hope users will do their research and find real approaches that actually will work. This is just slick packaging of a learning approach that will fail for the vast, vast, vast majority of people. The only ones that would benefit will be coincidental and wouldn’t need this app anyhow. Do your research, language learners.

Estou ansioso pela possibilidade de poder inserir mais do que o permitido na hora de criar minhas ilhas. Também seria interessante adicionar frases em ilhas minhas já existentes, sem precisar criar uma ilha nova sempre. Outra sugestão é a adição de um modo escuro. 🙏🏻
Audio Issues
The concept of the app is amazing, but the audio issues are extremely frustrating. When they fix the audio bugs that cause you to be unable to listen or start any playlist I will up my rating score.
An ok app
I’m a native English speaker learning Japanese. I’d love to give a 5 star because the concept of learning in this manner is very promising and in a lot of ways does work. However it would be a great help if they would add another line with English with the same sentence structure as the Japanese to help figure out which word is which. Until this happens you will be left with googling every word until you have them all written down sucking up a lot of study time. And then you will learn quickly.

I struggled with learning Italian with multiple traditional school systems and classes for years. I gave up. This is best system that I have tried and I finally feel that I am learning to speak the language. Thank you!!!

Good app and system for learning your target language. provides large amounts of comprehensible input before the update to the paid pro version. Very much limited in the non pro version. i would guess the very positive reviews will drop off. The ask price seems excessive to me when you can find the same content on youtube for free.

The best!
I enjoy using hyperlingua! If you stay disciplined and follow processes you will learn new languages so much faster than with traditional learning methods. What I love the most about the app is they keep improving it and learning keeps getting better and more fun!
Great ideas but poor execution
The learning methodologies that this app is trying to achieve are great! The problem is with the way how the app is build. Very low engineering quality. Inconsistent UI, poor input validation, some buttons are simply not working and lots of audio errors. After longer use, I also see that the app makes my phone hot (using newest iPhone), so there is poor management of memory the app uses during running. Also when trying to listen to longer session, some of the features (like 2x speed) is not working if the app is moved to background. It seems that the developers put already lots of „Pro” features that they are ready to put behind the paywall but with this amount of bugs I would not be comfortable to pay for it.

It’s the best language learning app I’ve used, but it’s still really buggy, the audio sometimes stops for no reason and refuses to play. Very annoying
TOP LANGUAGE APP
Most effective app to yield REAL RESULTS. If you want to play games and pretend you’re learning it’s not the app for you. I recommend this to everyone the second the topic comes up.
Great app, but missing a crucial audio feature!
The app is actually really great, especially for beginners, and it makes everything easy to understand. However, I am really missing a specific feature when listening to the sentences on the go: Unfortunately, there is no option to have the native language repeated along with the target language during playback. In the beginning, this would be incredibly helpful. If you could hear the translation directly back-to-back, you wouldn't constantly have to look at the screen. This would make it much easier to use the app passively—like while cleaning, driving, or cooking—and would help to understand the context much better right from the start. I really hope the developers add a "bilingual audio mode" (native language followed by the foreign language) in a future update. If that gets added, it’s a definite 5-star app!

Builds fluency
Best way to learn a language, it feels scary and tough at first but stick with it and quickly you will build vocabulary and fluency. Shadow whilst doing other tasks and then recall actively after you’ve gotten some reps in. Really good app.
