This app is nuts
Iphone13 should not be able to get video like this. It’s great for places I can’t bring my camera. I’m just blown away by the results. I would love if there was a photo mode where you can capture stills in real time too.

This gives you incredible video quality on an iPhone 13 Mini. I’d love to see an option for oversampled HD output, preferably still with the open gate coverage! That would be a huge win in file size when doing vlogs and travel content. Great work with this app!! 👏
Purchase price increase
Not happy with the price mark ups for an app thats heavily buggy and still long away from being a reliable service. Kindly bring down the price to as it was before, then I’ll consider buying and wait for the updates whenever it may come. For now not an user. If it comes down, kindly, let me know, cheers.
Issue when log format on the camera becomes shakey glitch
When the log formats on when we pan the video it becomes shakey when the log turn off it becomes normal. Is it a bug ?? Developer need to fix it! Anyone having this issue

Purchase Sharing and Technical Error
I am currently sharing apps and the app only unlocks from trial whenever the account used for purchase is signed in, which is not great considering that other apps works just fine and only needs to be setup via IAP once. There is also this issue of non-stop shutter sound on my Xs, which was not present before, it also happens when I click the "eye" icon (my Xs is Japanese variant, if that matters). Then on my 14 Pro, the same "eye" functionality freezes the frame. I hope this can be resolved. Thank you!

Please Fix it
My device is an iPhone 16 Pro, but when I try to record in high quality, it only records for about 5 seconds and then shows an error. Also, the autofocus is not working. I spent a total of ₹700 on this, and it feels like a complete waste of money
Good but need more stuff for buying it
So it’s good first time shooting in log but I want focus stuff just like other review and wide angel log it looks super good with open gate with wide but no log option in that so pls provide that I will buy it
Supporting the dev
So firstly, I wanna say that the app is actually really really really rough. The UI is a far cry from something like mavis camera. There’s no exposure comp, audio meters, etc. And the cherry on top is that there’s no autofocus during recording. But what you get in return for all of that is the cleanest open gate image you’ll ever get on your iPhone and a whole hoist of features that simply makes me giddy. The fact that HEVC 444 is here, plus gyroflow, and that you can customize the bitrate and set the whole thing to slog 3 if you wanna match with your Sonys - mwah. Chefs kiss. Developer you’re definitely a camera nerd and I salute you for doing something so audacious for iOS. I bought the subscription and I’m leaving you a five star because I hope you continue this project, it seems like it’s in early days. Some feature requests: Auto exposure compensation slider Metering modes (wishful thinking) Being able to choose drop frame or non drop frame on 24 and 30 fps modes And the biggest thing that’s stopping me from recommending this the most - autofocus during recording Godspeed

Shooting log on my iPhone 17
The app is worth every penny live that it’s not subscription based And the fact that I can record on log on base iPhone is just mind blowing Woukd love if auto focus worked though as most times I shoot talking head alone And if you’re shooting indoor make sure you increase your brightness very well and reduce iso if not you’ll get too much noise on your footage
Buggy soft should not be paid ones
iPhone 16Pro : clicking on Look or record will start the shutter sound in loops and never. A sounds similar to burst mode.
Good app but i am facing an problem
Hey folks, this app is great at colour grading but there is an issue i am facing with it, I recorded many videos and in files there is only the first video that i took was visible and other videos are showing Zero KB is there any solution anyone knows? Thank you in advance
Good but needs more improvement
I was glad to finally shoot raw on my iPhone 13 mini, it does a great job. I am disappointed with the bugs, it does not support 1080p or 60fps let alone 30fps. If you buy this app on the iPhone 13 mini, you will be stuck shooting 24fps. That kindve makes it feel not that worth it for me.
Good, improvements needed
The app is impressive and I’ve purchased the app for pro features, but some essential features are missing and one of them is the ability to change focus after recording starts, other one is instead of having to manually tap for focus I want the app to do the auto focus and continue after the recording starts . Waiting for these updates.

Works only with stab off
Tried on iphone15. Recording failing after 1 or 2 sec. After trying many parameters, I found out that stab off solved the issue. But the idea behind this potential great app is to be able to film anytime I don’t have my video gear. I don’t plan to use my iPhone with gimbal or tripod. Will re-try later, but if not fixed, it is a NOGO for me
An update to my previous review
iPhone 11 user: Ever since the newest update, I haven’t ran into the video processing error once! My biggest gripe with this app seems to have disappeared, and that has earned another star from me! This version feels so much more stable and I’m so proud of the developers and what they’ve created/are creating. Keep going!
Not working
Freezing when entering the settings. iPhone 12pro.
Nice idea but bugs won’t let me try the app
Trying the Log Cam free trial using 14 pro max 256gb version. The movement I press the eye icon for Look, the camera seems to start shutter sound as if its shooting 30fps, same is happening when I enable histogram which is odd behaviour. If I ignore this & start recording the same shutter sound is getting recorded in the video. After 3 updates this bug hasn’t been solved, emailed the developer but haven’t got reply.
Groundbreaking
App is still in early development, but truly a breakthrough. Getting consistent recording failures with .5 lens on 14 pro - really hope this gets addressed in future updates. Aside from that however, well worth the money.
Bugs auf iPhone 15 Pro Max
Hat viele Bugs auf dem iPhone 15 Pro Max. Erster ist dass sehr helle Lichtquellen rosa und Pixel sind. Weiterhin funktioniert die "Allow dropped frames" Funktion nicht, das aufnehmen wird nach 1 Sekunde abgebrochen. Und wenn das Video doch aufgenommen wird und durch die Fehlermeldung abgebrochen, dann ist es danach nicht abspielbar.

it doesn’t delete the files on my iphone 14 even though i delete the files from my phone which ate all my storage so i basically have to manually delete the app and re download again so dont feel like its that usable.
Not working on my Xs Max
If it works it should be amazing but right now it won’t record anything. I got an error saying error 86: recordings start failed. Tried every setting but couldn’t figure it out. Hopefully it will be fixed but currently not possible for older phones. Update: developer was very responsive and it may be working now. Unfortunately my trial expired already so I won’t be able to test. I will wait to see more reviews from similar phones and see how it goes. Extremely interested in this app.

Great work looks perfect but i paid for your first app which called (open gate dng raw cam ) you could update it with all of this options but you choose to make another app and makes us pay again, really ! -_-
needs a lot of work, but at its core this is incredible
after the most recent update, the camera would not load no matter if i restarted my phone or what, so i uninstalled and reinstalled the app and doing so completely erased all of my footage. i understand this is my fault and i should have known but surely there’s a way to not obliterate the app’s working directory when uninstalling please?

All files are gone - very frustrating experience
I came to the end of the test phase. To buy the app I had to delete it and reinstall, since I can not open the menue on my iphone 12pro at all. Just after deleting it I realized that all the videos that I took of my 3 Day Trip are now gone. I expected them to be in a seperate folder on the device wich stays on the phone when deleting the app, since I could see the folder in the folders app before. There was no warning or nothing about deleting the files. That is really frustrating. Please fix this issue and let me know afterwards. Then I would of course like to cange my rating of the app. Thanks a lot for your effort!

Cool! But..not for work
Thank you for the opportunity to bypass Apple’s algorithms! But…Without proper autofocus control and support for 50 fps or higher, there’s little point in shooting with this app. It’s only really useful as a mobile camera benchmark and for experimenting with older iPhones. For real-world shooting, unfortunately, I’d still prefer the free Blackmagic Camera app.

Opening the app broke my airpods
I was listening to music when i opened this app. I heard a loud noise for a short second. My right airpod is now distorted and the left has a delay in playback compared to the right one. Thats crazy! Be careful everyone!!
Best App for Non Pro Models!
Just wow, its amazing what this app opens your iphone up to. Bypassing all the apple processing and turning each frame into a video format for log is insane. Just that alone deserves 5 stars but it does need more stability and bug fixes and other features that are missing for filmmaking. A desqueeze would great for external anamorphic lens, better focusing so it doesnt crash the app. My only bug so far is when adjusting exposure using the built in false colors the app either crashes or the preview mode(zebras or false colors) just turns off and crashes and the app wont recorded after it. I gotta close the app and launch it back up again and try to adjust exposure again and hope it doesnt crash so i can hit record and film my scene. I’m on Iphone 15 base model if that helps.
Good start, needs some work
The idea is there, it's super nice to be able to access image data before Apple crushes it with processing. But as of right now, the app is completely unusable on my base model iPhone 14. When I attempt to use the menus, it freezes and I have to force close/restart. But I never get past that point, so the trail days are just going to run out before I can even get the app to work. I'd love to pay for it when it works, but right now, I can't even tap on the screen without the trial version freezing. Not going to buy yet, hopefully in the future when kinks are ironed out.
It’s like the color woke up
So far, I’m floored by these images. Once the calibration is set, exposure dialed in, focus nailed, and lighting adjusted, the results just drop into Davinci Resolve and look expensive. I’m already using big panels and fresnels, so this is right for me and my slower, single-plane-of-focus stuff. I wish I could save a preset, but keeping the app open will retain settings. I’m using 16 Pro, 24fps HEVC 4:4:4 For a pro with an iPhone? Are you kidding me? This app is my coolest piece of “gear” I got this year. Bravo!
Laggy and App Crashes
This app is very laggy and its crashes most of the time, log option is available but still i’m unable to record video. Fix it!!

Best App for Filmmakers, But Needs Work
This app has the potential to be the definitive app for iPhone filmmakers, bypassing Apple's filters on any iPhone, not just the Pro models. It's still very early though, and needs some more work. More encoder options would be nice, and no autofocus is a real bummer. As the dev adds features and the app nears parity with the Blackmagic Camera app or Filmic Pro, this will be the winner by a mile. Keep developing it, take my money!!!
