Wood Pro’s
Right when I thought I was King of the Wood this app came in and crushed that!! These guys are def Wood Masters anything about wood and they are on it! Wood sense is good with the wood!
Super bad
Worst I’ve ever seen, never did a review till now. I wouldn’t be a good person if I let one person think this app is even remotely decent
Inizio
Per ora non ho provato l’app … vediamo che succede … sembra interessante
100% AI created app
This app looks intriguing and the ad made it seem like it was awesome with step by step instructions. The reality is someone used AI to create a wood working app.
Almost there.
Material list sholluld Include what raw materials needed before you begin. Instead you have add up all the cut material material and figure out what boards are needed. Kind of a hassle.
👍🏻
So far so good looking to start building
EXPENSIVE
Says it’s cheap to start then suddenly charge $40 a month. Absolutely useless app
Need to know
My only issue is there is no information about how many boards to buy for the project and what size boards you will need, add that in and this app will be great.
Purchase List
I need to know what to buy. I don’t want to add up a cut list.
Plans are different than pictures.
When you get it, it asks for your skill level, range of like 1-5 on how many tools you have, and what kind. That’s cool. And preference for what style plans you like. But once you do it, you can’t change it later. It’s a great feature, really, but that should be an option. For example, I see all the options with the plan layout I “preferred,” but I’d like to see other projects with the photo plans, or video plans. Maybe there’s projects I’d like to do more with those, but I’m stuck with what I chose. The other thing that’s not great is that for a lot of the plans, the picture of the finished product is different than what the plans have you build. Of course, you can tweak designs and styles yourself, but why would the finished photo not be what you build when you follow the plans for that project? There’s also not many projects to do in the app. Some are long enough to keep you going for a while, but choices are limited. Maybe it’s because it’s limited to the plan style I wanted, or my skill level, but it’d be great to have more. That being said, the plans are “close enough” to the end result that you can customize a little to make it look how you want if you pay attention to what you’re doing and don’t mindlessly follow the plans. It’ll definitely get you going and started. It’s a great, albeit new, app. There’s tons of potential - it just needs tidied up a bit and improved. I think it’ll turn into something great eventually if it sticks around. I’ll update my review if they do.
WoodSense App
Excellent app! It is so useful and provides great insight on different projects and how to make them come together. I would recommend this to anyone!
Not user friendly
It’s not broken down for beginners. Under “cutting list” It tells you the finished dimensions but it doesn’t specify you will need 2-2x4s and then cut them to certain length. It just gives you a finished measurement. Also it doesn’t explain how to assemble in steps just pictures in black and white that show measurements.
Ads are deceptive
None of the plans depicted in the ads are in the app.
Haven’t used it yet
It literally asked me how I liked it after I took the intro survey, I dunno!
Mel
Mel
Love making
Absolutely love this app!
Waste of time
Downloaded and immediately crashed. Lame
Direto da Natureza
Não destrua,construa.
Great concept poor execution.
I’ve used this app for a few months and it’s great for getting a general idea for projects. Most of the plans available are vague. Seems like a good amount of the projects are made up by AI and leave out important structural components. Definitely not 500+ plans available like the developers advertise.
?
I haven’t used it yet.
Benmora
It’s a perfect detailed way of teaching
Not as advertised
No ability to search. Especially for what is advertised
New
New to WoodSense
meh…
It has some cool plans for some around the house things. But the two that I saved so that I could get two later have disappeared. Don’t know if this is because they want to force me into buying a paid version.
Wrong measurement
And set up I chose Imperial measurements but all it’s giving me is metric and I can’t find anywhere in the app to change that
Amazing
I’m beyond excited to have an app that is useful and meaningful.
Intentionally Deceptive
Plans shown in ad are not available in the app. Very few plans available in general. It’s not what is advertised, and a waste even at $1.99
Measurements and cut details need improvement
The app would be amazing, but a few bugs they need to address: Measurements are only metric. Even when selecting standard, measurements remain in metric Cut details seem to leave out a good amount of details for angles to be cut at
Wanted imperial but got metric
Please contact me and figure out how I can get the correct version of this
Next level woodworking
This app is amazing for beginners and seasoned vets alike. It’s like having a CAD planner in your pocket
Charged on the First Day of the Free Trial
I signed up expecting to use only the free trial, but I was charged for the subscription immediately!!
Seemed okay. Can’t adjust settings
All measurements are showing up as metric even though I selected imperial. And there are no options to fix
Just down loading
Wants me to put a review before u can even try anything on the app
Wood work app
Great resource for projects. Useful tips and a great app to help you get started.
Waste of time.
Pass, just find stuff on Pinterest,
Deception BAIT AND SWITCH
The ads you see on Facebook indicate that they have plans for things that are not in the app. I paid for the first month before getting to see any of the app and feel cheated. There are basic plans available and the they did add a toggle for metric vs imperial measurements but all the plans are still in metric. There are WAY fewer plans available and of course the plans that I wanted are ones missing.
Review
You’re asking for a review too soon, I haven’t even learned anything yet and already asking for a review. Should have waited and maybe would have got a 5 star if I learned something first..
Muy didáctico
Estupendo Super fácil hasta yo lo pude hacer
Can’t change out of metric
Same as above
Confusing layout
Doesn’t seem to offer a search bar to look up specific design ideas. Also, when setting up my account I made sure to set it it Imperial measurements but everything is showing in metric. Couldn’t find a way to solve either of these issues in the app. Decided to cancel my trial and delete the app. May try again later if they implement some more user friendly updates.
Day 1
This is Day 1 of using the App. I’ve just completed the intro questionnaire. This is probably not the best time to prompt a user rating but, so far, so good.
Excited
Looking forward to learning more about
Review before use?
Asking user to submit a 5 star review before revealing a paywall is silly and should be against TOS. You can’t review a product you haven’t had the opportunity to use.
Pants!
Took photos of the same piece of wood on 3 separate occasions. 1st one said it was walnut, 2nd said it was sapele, 3rd said it was mahogany! Time to uninstall & find an app that can actually identify species correctly!
Need more projects, and configurable option for measurements
Need to be able to change Metric or imperial. Especially since home improvement box store usually use imperial There is only about 25 projects listed. It’d be nice if there was some different sort options such as cost of build, length of time, degree of difficulty filters, etc.
