What people like
- Saves travel time and stress for users
- Process is convenient if it works smoothly
- Helps avoid expensive trips abroad successfully
What they complain about
- Support team never replies to help requests
- App crashes and logs you out randomly
- You lose your money with no refund
- Biometric scans fail or reject often
Works like a charm.
If the scan is failing 1. Wash your hands the water helps make your print more visible 2. Use natural light. Don't do it indoors or at night. All fingerprint scores must be at least 50
Not fit for purpose
App has been useless for weeks now, can’t do “forgot password”, can’t submit request because the app cannot validate application and reference number! What a waste!
Works
Biometric capture is the hardest part of this app. It didn’t work on my Samsung Tab S7+ or iPhone 16 Pro Max (kept giving errors), but I eventually succeeded with an iPhone 14 Pro. Seems not fully optimized for newer iPhones yet. Works better on Android devices with good cameras and iPhone 15 and below. However, it saved me the cost and stress of traveling to Ottawa since I’m based in Winnipeg, Canada.
Urgent help in renewal of passport
Please I need an assistance to get my passport. It's a matter of life and death. I renewed my passport (contactless renewal), because I need to travel to India from Uk for cancer treatment and we are running out of time. Please I need your assistance. My name is Umasoye Walson Ekpete
Biometrics issue
Trying to get my face verification but keeps saying match failed. Can you please help me resolve this, thanks.
Nwakibeya
Shout out to the young lady called Ijeoma that helped me out when I got stuck with biometric. She’s a star
Sigh
I have no words to describe this app. Just download it use and rate yourself
Unable to login
Hi, I’m finding it incredibly difficult to sign into this app. I’ve had to reset my password several times and even reinstalled the app, but nothing seems to work.
Easy and seamless
I had a great experience using the NIS mobile app. The entire process was seamless and very convenient. I was able to complete my biometrics right in the comfort of my own home, which saved me time and stress. My tip for anyone using the app: make sure you have good lighting and a phone with a clear camera resolution , it really helps the process go smoothly. Also, if you encounter any glitches, try re-downloading the app; that worked well for me. Overall, this was an easy, user-friendly experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone going through the process.
Ridiculous
The app signs me out whenever I submit all fingers for verification and that means starting over again, even when taking pictures under direct light or natural light is difficult. Can we get something right in this country for once? Despite the billions collected to build this, we still experience so much stress, difficulties and anxiety for something that should be easy. Nothing works! So many glitches.
iPhone 16e
Unfortunately the app ain’t working for me while I’m currently using iPhone 16e.
WORKED
idk what these reviews are all about but for me it worked seamlessly🤷♂️
If I speak I’m in trouble
App crashed after finally doing the left hand. Whoever made this app is a c•nt
Good
This app is working perfectly well and it also works on my iPhone perfectly well. This is very nice
Negative 5 stars
Ever curious to know how bad an app can get? Wonder no more….this is officially the worst thing ever downloaded
Excellent
One of the best verification app out there. I did my biometrics without any issues. Thanks for this app
Not Good Enough
Can we just get one thing right as a country? The process is tiring to do. Minister Tunji Ojo I know you stand for excellence but this app is not even mid. I tried to chat for help the message dropped and no response and it was indicated that it a 24 hour service. Can you second people from the private sector who knows what it means to run an efficient system to take change of this app. At least for the sake of diaspora Nigerians who don’t have the luxury of going to passport offices like we would have done of we are in Nigeria.
Dev
It’s good to see Nigeria take baby steps in digitization.
Frustrating!
I don’t know which is worse; the app itself or the complete abandonment people face when they need help. The app barely works, support is nonexistent, and complains seems to be disappear into a void. A service this important shouldn’t be this frustrating! It just doesn’t make any sense!! Nigerians deserve better!!!
What a waste
Such an incredibly difficult app to use. Still ended up going to London. Crazy!!!
Fraud alert!! The most useless app ever.
Don't download or try this process of renewing your passport with this app. You'll be frustrated. Right now, I have lost 243$ to this fraudulent process. Stay safe
Worst thing ever
How do I give this app a 0 rating. If you think APC is the worst thing out of Nigeria, then you’ve not met this app. It’s basically a fraudulent one, verification fails once and no opportunity to retry or even refunds. No accessible support team. I’m not a betting man but it’d be a better investment betting on Wolves to beat PSG than paying $100 for their contactless service. Utterly useless!
